Days had passed since their fateful revelation. In search of other portals the crew had split up to save time, while also keeping an eye out for Cross’ missing data. The faster they find their way home the faster they can rekindle their decaying Aus and see the kids again. It soon became clear that things weren't going to be as easy.
While they had already been warned about their case of mistaken identity, they hadn't realized how prevalent their chaotic evil counterparts had been. At first it was small details such as side glances or townsfolk walking faster than normal when one of them entered towns that knew of the multiverse. None of them are willing to stop and really talk to the gang or answer questions. None of them willing to get close enough to question the differences in appearance.
Sublethal had a harder time than the others. The leaking black fluid eyes and swirl of green reminding certain people of killer mixed with Nightmare's magic. This was getting him nowhere. Maybe it was time for a new look, and he might have just found the perfect Au for the job.
Lustfell was an Au of fabulous taste in clothing, giving emo, fur, and fashion. Mostly dark colors with a splash of neon everyone in a while would definitely set him apart from his drab counterpart. It would also make Baneful do a double take before facepalming.
He walked into a boutique and started searching the clothing when a flame elemental approached him. Now he wasn't going to crack a joke about being a flaming homosexual or anything, but damn if he didn't know this man was going to make him hot. He could almost see the sparks! Oh wait, he could. He was very glad he spoke flame tongue because he absolutely didn't want to give the wrong impression about his type, he means style.
“Looking for something in particular?”
Very happy that the hot guy wasn't scared of him, he answered with a smile.
“I need a new look. People keep mistaking me for Sans. I want something that would make me look completely different.”
The monster blinked a couple times that this monster didn't refer to themselves as a Sans but quickly carried on, respecting it.
“Any colors in particular?”
“Something that compliments my magic!”
The flaming monster looked the skeleton over and nods.
“How much skin would you like showing?”
“I'd like to be pretty covered but I also need something that is not going to burn when my magic touches it.”
“Of course, of course. Do you prefer just the basics or would you like fur? I highly recommended the fur~”
“Style me what you think is best. You obviously know how to dress smoking~”
The monster rummage through the racks and quickly puts together an outfit thag has a green and black pattern, fur around the collar and cuffs of the jacket, a belt that hangs from the side, some black leather pants, and some boots with the same pattern as the jacket. The flaming monster looks over at him again.
“What type of magic do you have?”
“Acidic.”
“Got it!”
The monster enchants the outfit to be acid resistant and burn resistant in general. He also sprays a hydrophobic coating on to keep the liquid from staining the outfit. Then hands the outfit over.
“Fitting room is to the left!”
Sublethal takes the clothing and tries it on, immediately falling in love with the look. He walks out and does a spin for the dresser who claps!
“You look amazing darling!”
“I feel powerful. Didn't know a chance of outfit could inspire such confidence.”
“Of course it does! People across the realms will have all eyes on you. Nobody will mistake you for anyone after this.”
“How much do I owe you, Hot stuff?”
“This outfit would be 3k gold. Its all hand made and designed by me.”
Sublethal looked at the man, impressed.
“Well worth the price. I'll have to come back with my friends.”
He handed over the coins without issue.
“That would be much appreciated. Will you be wearing the outfit to go?”
“Indeed I will.”
“Allow me to remove the tags then!”
The flame monster burns through the tags leaving the outfit pristine as ever.
“Remember, all outfits come with a lifetime guarantee. If it is damaged in any way please come back and I can have it fixed or replace it at no charge!”
Sublethal takes the card he is handed and pockets it. He takes note of the number written on it and smirks.
“Will do. Thanks again!”
“Come back any time!”
