Summary
Set after Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Steve and Sam track Bucky down and take him home.
Bucky's remembered a fair amount of his past, the most important part being his feelings for his best friend. As more time passes, he knows if he sticks around he'll only complicate things further for Steve.
Steve just wants Bucky to be okay. While he's hoping for that, there's something else Steve has to deal with as well - his growing attraction for Sam. Balancing that and his attachment to Bucky isn't easy, until it is.
Sam helped Steve find Bucky because he knew what it was like to lose someone. He never counted on falling for Steve. Or, for that matter, what would happen with Bucky once he did.

Summary
Sam put a stack of pamphlets down on the counter as he went to grab a plate.
Bucky ignored him and kept eating his Jell-O.
Steve paused his chewing to look at the pamphlets presented in front of him.
“First aid classes?” Steve looked up from the pamphlets to make eye contact with Sam, his expression one of question.
“Yep.” Sam simply says, scooping up some scrambled eggs onto his plate. “Think you two should go to one.”
OR: Bucky's first venture into solid foods doesn't end particularly well. Sam encourages him and Steve to take a CPR and first aid class, and Bucky remembers things, good and bad.

"I am being decommissioned," the soldier said, and for one horrible moment Tony thought he actually seemed relieved. "I understand. I will comply."

There was a baby in Steve’s living room.
There definitely wasn’t a baby in his living room last night, he was sure of it. Sure, he hadn’t been in his apartment for a few weeks, busy with his fruitless search for Bucky, but he checked the place three times last night for any breaches. He would’ve noticed a baby. And nothing had woken him up, and he hadn’t been a heavy sleeper since the war. The baby—judging by the pink onesie and haphazard pigtails, he was assuming it was a she—stared at him, silently chewing on a slobbery fist.
