Wow... uh.. let me tell you, I'm utterly floored by the level of love you have for my story. This is something that I, as a writer, never experienced before. So seriously thank you from the heart for taking the time to comment, not just once but on every single chapter. It means a lot to me. I'm honestly happy that you liked it so much and I agree, I was waiting for someone to take the pieces of Mac and Bozer's background and make them into a fic as well, I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more versions of it. But then, there generally isn't enough Bozer to begin with. I'm guilty of that myself, he's such an awesome friend, but with everything else, their friendship tends to slip in the background. THat's actually tragic since I, obviously, think that he's been a huge influence on the Mac we know. Which brings me to my next point and your next comment. I'm happy that you think Bozer's way to handle Mac's confusion was good. I was a little unsure if this hands on 'kiss the boy to make a point' angle really was a good one even if I imagined it really sweet in my head. I figured Mac is the 'learning by doing' type so it should work out fine. Funny enough, I would have loved to skip my graduation as well, it was such a tedious production. Why is that I wonder. Anyway, I couldn't skip all of it but luckily I had my friends who came for me and we left as soon as we could as well. As for Mac's compartmentalization skills, I seriously envy them at times but to be honest in this specific case I actually kind of drew from my own experiences a lot but there always is a time when everything just... tips over and you just can't do it anymore. Luckily Mac isn't alone with that. I think it's a common thing actually for oneself and others to understand and accept the point when it's simply better to step back and let a professional or someone else take over. That's a hard thing to learn for sure but with Mac, I think, it had actually been an easy decision for Bozer because for one he knows how close Mac and Jack are and that the older would do anything for Mac and secondly, he knows that Mac has seen things he just can't relate to and doesn't even want to try but Jack can so it had been an obvious choice. I kind of believe that with Cairo (and Lake Como and Nikki) it had been the closest Bozer got to find out Mac's secret because it must have been really difficult to cover up the trauma and injury in a believable way, don't you think? And lastly, yeah the Phoenix fam is special like that, but seriously you can't tell me that Jack never slipped Mac something to get the boy to sleep, I don't believe it XD And Birthdays, well Bozer is special like that... didn't they say in the actual episode that Mac does like good parties and knows how to throw them, I guess he just went with that and the main focus of 'making Bozer happy'. And he did help after all, Jack has experience and surely Riley pitched in her own ideas as well, in fact I wouldn't put it past her that the mission cover idea had been partly her's.
Wow okay that turned into a real essay just now but well, take it as a sign of my appreciation for your comments which, let me say it again, made me really happy! Thank you!
