I personally believe that they didn't due to all of their upbringings.
Kristoff's mind could have been meddled with at some point and also would have no reason not to trust the Trolls since they took him and Sven in when they had nothing. He also probably hasn't seen them interact with humans outside of how they interact with him and how they interacted with the royal family.
Anna and Elsa on the other hand, similarly, didn't interact with many people outside of the few castle staff that were kept and their parents who trusted the Trolls.
So of course they probably didn't think about the Trolls being sus.
Plus Elsa wasn't around for fixer upper so she couldn't have put the pieces together like the rest of us.
Anna probably forgot about that little line.
I chose to believe that they all had blinders on to the situation.

There is one problem with that….
Yes your right on some extent…
But the trolls being blabber mouths I can imagine them bragging to Kristoff about what they did… and if not.. we’ll
With Elsa and Anna they know the laws very well due to being royals…
One trip to the library even less than that (as it’s the first law taught and also it would have been mentioned constantly due to Elsa and Anna’s position) and they will find the rules of royal marriage which state (and this law has existed for over 500 years! By the way):
That if married to a queen the person married will be a consort. But if the queen dies then the consort will loose power as it will go to the next of kin or the council. (Even the duke had more right to the throne!)
And don’t get me started on the marriage… it would have never worked because there is no priest or witness! And this is something everybody knows!!!
So ya it is more likely that either Kristoff or Anna or Elsa or all three or some but not the others did figured it out but decided to keep quiet.

Don’t worry, I understand, Hans family are monsters and yes they do deserve to pay dearly.
But I also think that Elsa and Anna are due for some punishment too…. Mostly Elsa…
I know! But it’s kinda obvious that they made Hans the villain at the last minute because they knew if they did not then Elsa and Anna would be disliked. (Because let’s face it… what do you supposed would have happened if Hans was not made the villain? You want to know? Arendelle would have been frozen, Elsa would have been gone or dead and Anna dead and even if all was resolved people would not be happy and blame them for what happened (rightfully so as they and their parents are to blame along with the trolls)
To be honest I am pretty sure the whole 2 movie was the trolls manipulation. With Elsa gone they have Anna and Kristoff rule (both who have no idea how to rule) and the trolls would use them as puppets and rule through them…
I even go to as far as saying that Elsa is still stuck in that glacier and what Anna saw was nothing but troll magic manipulating her. (Like seriously, Disney expect us to believe water has memory when you already showed just how easy it was to manipulate and change memories in the first movie? And let’s not forget that anything spirit that uses your loved ones voice/imagine and isolated/separates/lures you away from others… IS BAD!!!)
I can't help but wonder if the Trolls knew about what went down between Anna and Elsa's granddad and that tribe.
Like you're telling me they didn't know that living people were trapped in that forest in time when the Trolls seem to know everything?
I can buy Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff being dangerously oblivious due to their upbringings and them subconsciously just not wanting to think about the possibility that Hans is innocent.
But the Trolls being dangerously oblivious to this one thing?

To be honest.
I am sure that the trolls caused the events to happen. It’s clear they looked into the future, saw something they liked and took steps to get what they wanted.
What happened in the past, the first movie and second movies events. I am sure it was all them.
Bruh Kristoff is so close to being a changeling/a reverse changeling.
Also my boy is both so smart and so dumb at the same time.
Smart enough to know that marrying a man you just met is a bad idea but not smart enough to see the giant red flags his family show every second of the day.

Seriously the only way Hans plan would have worked (and would have shown he is evil) is if he had kept either Elsa or Anna alive and married to him…
Or if they all were commoners then the laws would have been different. (If it’s commoners marrying commoners then yes Hans plans would have made sense but it’s not and everybody knows it…)
(Also along with the trolls, I also say the spirits and that glacier in the second movie are also extremely sus and scream “Evil! I am tricking you!”)
And yes, Hans' plan makes no sense by human standards which is also why I think the Trolls had something to do with it.
Hans definitely would not have survived as long as he did with his brothers if he was not at least some what good at planning.
Also he had some kind of important job that I don't remember that he would have to be good at planning at to be able to have said job, so I do not buy he would have made that dumb of a plan.
Or revealed said plan.
Cause what was the point in revealing it?
If he was evil, he could have just kissed her and played dumb about why it didn't work.
He didn't have to reveal it but he did for some reason which is just so baffling to me.
It just seems like he was not in full control (kind of like with Lomi in the mcu) and someone wanted him to be the blame for everything.
I honestly have no idea what the writers were thinking.

I know what happened.
They ran out of time but knew they could not have their Disney princess/queen be hated so they made Hans the villain as a fast fix…
Which backfired very badly….
Not that it matters now as Elsa and Anna are sadly one of the most hated Disney characters Disney has.. (the sequel ruined them more than they already were).
I don't even know why they chose Hans instead of just making the villain the girls' parents (via the way they reacted to Elsa's magic), the Trolls, one of Hans' siblings, miscommunication, or the fucking Duke of Westleton who was annoying as all living hell.
All of those options would have made more sense than Hans if they didn't want Elsa to be the villain. But no, they just decided to not do that in favor of making kristanna canon without the added work of having Anna have an adult conversation with Hans. Like why?
I honestly feel so bad for Hans because he got fucked over so bay.
His parents suck.
Most of his brothers suck.
And the Trolls definitely did something to him.
And now he's being punished under the watch of his abusers.
Also Disney needs to stop making the abused characters the fucking villains when they aren't heroes.
Like come on dude, you couldn't have had a side character be an abuse victim who despite not getting the girl still got away from his abusers?
I would have died of happiness if after Anna and Elsa undid the whole frozen kingdom thing, Anna decided to choose Kristoff or decided that she just wanted to be friends with both of them. And if she relayed that to them like an adult and still found a way to make it where Kristoff didn't live in the woods isolated and where Hans didn't have to go home to his abusers.
But of course Disney just wanted a fast ending instead of one that would have made sense.

Or kept Elsa as the misunderstood villain…. I mean she already has a lot of villain traits and with her as a villain it makes the most sense.
I know and yes the duke makes more sense.
I know, I also wish they would redeem bad guy villains too. (Seriously! All of the redeemed ones are female and maleficent!? Seriously!? She is called the mistress of evil for a reason!!!)
But no…. In truth I blame the director Lee. She is one of those toxic feminist who think all men are evil…. And also in the end Disney cannot have their princesses hated or be evil or make mistakes and such because they need to sell princess merchandise.
I know! Also Hans would have been useful to them not only because it’s clear he is competent. But arendelle needs and army and Hans being a naval admiral would have also been useful. (Like seriously? How long do you think it will last without an army? Arendelle has no defenses since who knows when)
And yes like making nobody a bad guy in the first movie would have worked better. (On the other hand the sequel desperately needs a bad guy ala maleficent or something…..)
And also if they had stuck with redeeming Hans like they promised to do that also would have been great!
Elsa being a misunderstood villain would have been good.
No one needs to be seriously punished that way.
And redeeming Hans would have been great.
And again, Hans could not have been a naval admiral without being good at planning.
You expect me to believe that the 13th son of the king and Queen who was treated terribly was just given that title over his brothers?
Yeah, no. He had to have been good at planning.
Also that's another inconsistency.
Hans could have just attempted to take out his own family members until he or Lars (his nice brother) were crowned. And people likely wouldn't have suspected it of him since he was a naval admiral and had never done anything back against his brothers before.

I know!!
Also nobody would have objected. With Hans being a naval admiral it is also clear that he would have had the support of his people so ya if he wanted the throne getting rid of his family (minus Lars) would have made more sense.

I know and also Hans could have in a way ruled by helping and protecting Lars. (Hate to say this but Lars is weak and would need Hans to rule so it would be a mutually beneficial thing for both of them)
