    Jacob's antics made me laugh out loud! He is trying so hard and being such a complete, balls to the wall weirdo about it. Also for someone projecting such cluelessness, he absolutely knows how to play to Hasan's competitive nature.

    I love how you capture that particular awkward mix of feelings that comes with someone from outside your faith/culture/tradition criticising something in it that you yourself have been critical of, especially when combined with the thing of being treated as Sole Representative of something that you are still trying to find your own way through. It's a hard thing to capture without it completely dominating the story, but the balance you struck here really worked for me - it feels true to what we've seen of Hasan so far, real and important but not the only thing going on in his world.
