Prologue

A Light made of Water

All was a quiet in the town of Gravesfield, Connecticut in a particular house slept a young girl.

A thin, tan-skinned teenage Dominican-American girl with golden-brown eyes and dark brown hair kept in slightly messy pixie cut. She was sleeping until an alarm blared.

“Ugh. I’m up I’m up.” The Girl said as she tried and failed to turn it off.

It was on the fifth attempt she managed to turn it off.

The girl got up and turns on the light. Revealing that she is wearing a sports bra and a pair of shorts. She stands in front of the mirror. She sees a small collection of old scars. It was several knife wounds and gunshots.

“Just a reminder that I’m alive.” The girl said.

“Luz Mija! It’s time for school!” A woman said.

The now named Luz heard her mother spoke as she went to get ready.

Luz began to put on some clothes. She was wearing a set of small, circular-shaped ebony-black earrings. She wore short-sleeved half-lavender-blue and half-white hooded shirt with cat ears attached to the hood, high-waisted grayish-turquoise jean shorts over a set of dark navy-gray capri leggings, and a pair of white loafer sneakers.

She then sees the last piece of her outfit. A pendent of two headed star bird. The left side was blue and the right was red.

This pendant is a symbol. The symbol of the Conduits.

What was a Conduit? That was simple It was a human born with powers and Luz Noceda was one of them.

After getting dressed she went downstairs and saw her mother Camila Noceda.

Camila Noceda, is a Dominican-American woman with tan skin and a medium body frame and brown eyes, as well as brown eyebrows. She wears an orange and red sweater, a gold necklace, a badge shaped like a heart with the rainbow pride flag, large, blue earrings, blue jeans, two-tone brown boots, and glasses with golden-yellow frames.

“Ah Luz here’s breakfast.” Camila said.

“Thanks Mama.” Luz said as she ate.

After eating Camila turned on the faucet.

Luz held out her hand out and absorbed the water.

“Alright then I’m ready for the day.” Luz said.

“Take care Luz te quero.” Camila said.

“I love you too Mama.” Luz said as she leaves.

As she comes out of the door she sees multiple people using their powers. This made Luz smile as walked to school as she walked she would look at the people some of them glared at her and her fellow Conduits though they were a minority.

Especially that one dude who said something about aliens and time machines. Thank the lord he was arrested when he tried to bomb a C.O.L.E (Conduit Outreach and Legal Endorsement center) building.

Besides that she smiled as she arrived at her destination Gravesfield High School.

But before she could reach the building she shivered and looked around finding no one. She then looked down at her shadow.

“Masha! Get out of my Shadow.” Luz said.

Soon a figure raises from Luz’s Shadow.

“Sorry about Luz I couldn’t be late again.” The now named Masha said.

Masha is of medium height, a slim build, medium-tan complexion, and has a chin-length black bob cut. They have dark brown eyes and a tooth gap. They wear a noodle-strap black dress that dons a small white bow on the top of the chest portion. Underneath the dress, they wear a dusty-mauve sweater with a thin turtleneck and bell sleeves. They also wear pastel mauve stockings, and black ankle boots that have crater brown accents on the inner sides. Their nails are done up to be almond shaped and painted yellow, white, purple, and black, in reference to the non-binary flag. They also have a bracelet with the Conduit Symbol.

It also signifies their status as a Conduit.

“Ugh you could’ve taken the bus Masha.” Luz said.

“Nope your shadow is cheaper. Besides my folks are being asses again.” Masha said.

Luz groaned at that.

“Still thinking that Conduits can be cured or should be imprisoned for their own good?” Luz asked despite knowing that answer.

“Yeah they do.” Masha said with an eye roll.

“Did they not see how the D.U.P pretty much destroyed people’s lives 6 years ago?” Luz said.

“They did. Though they also think that the military should have seen through Augustine’s deception.” Masha said as she shakes their head.

“That is probably the only thing we agree on.” Luz said.

“Huh well that is fair.” Masha said.

“Let’s get to class Masha see you later.” Luz said.

Masha grins.

“Later Luz.” Masha said.

“Ok last day school this is gonna be awesome.” Luz said as she went in.

A few hours later

School had ended a few hours ago and she was waiting at the principal’s office. Why well that was the question she didn’t know why?

Was it because she used her powers?

No she wouldn’t be that stupid.

Was because of her Oral Book Report?

No she just give a normal OBR. No voices, no snakes and especially NO fireworks. Being serious for a second how would she sneak those in?

Was it the Griffin Taxidermy and the daddy long legs?

No that was a few months ago.

Soon her Mama came by.

“Why did you get called?” Camila asked.

“No clue I don’t think I did anything?” Luz said.

“Hmmm… well we’ll just need to check.” Camila said.

Soon they were called into the office and saw that Principal Hal wasn’t alone.

“Ugh Hopkins.” Luz groaned.

“That Officer Hopkins to you Bioterrorist!” Officer Hopkins said.

“Yeah whatever what do you want Principal Hal?” Luz asked.

“Yes I’ll cut to the chase. Officer Hopkins has spotted you graphitizing the city.” Hal said as he gave Luz and Camila several photos.

Both Nocedas looked at the photo and after a few seconds Mother and Daughter began laughing at them.

“Oh good lord I needed that.” Camila said as she takes out not only another set of photos and some papers.

The other set of Photos showed the completed works.

One of them was a tribute to Mrs. Conway’s husband.

The second was the symbol of the Gravesfield’s Bodega commissioned by the owner.

The last one was a mural and this one was commissioned by… Supernatant Ian Palmers.

Hal’s eyes went wide and he then went pale when he saw the papers all of them saying that the commissioners consented the graffiti.

“PRINCIPAL HAL!” A voice said.

“Superintendent Palmers!” Hal said.

“I see that you still didn’t learn your lesson and oh what’s this Ex-Officer Hopkins I see you’re still being racist towards Noceda.” Palmers said.

“Grrr all of the fucking Bioterrorists should just die.” Hopkins said.

“No more needs to be said Officers arrest them.” Palmer said as three police officers came in and arrested them.

Hal didn’t resist.

Hopkins did which led him to get tazed.

After they left Luz asked the Superintendent why Hal was being arrested.

Palmers revealed that Hal was getting kickbacks from Reality Check Camp.

“Oh that would explain why Hal was very insistent that Luz goes there.” Camila said.

“Of course he would. I also need to inform you that RCC has… CT and CC programs.” Palmers said

Camila was horrified at this revelation.

Luz on the other hand was pissed as all hell. Her hands were made into fists as water circled around them.

Especially since both CT and CC were involved.

CT and CC or Conversion Therapy and Conduit Curing.

Conversion Therapy is self-explanatory to Luz as she herself is Bisexual. So she knows about this Crackpot Religious Pseudo-Science Bullshit.

She was so thankful that her Mama accepted her as she is.

Conduit Curing on the other hand is relatively new C.R.P.S.B this time is where people mostly the ultra-religious type believes that extreme pain can remove a Conduit’s powers. Electroshock, shooting, knives and much. MUCH more.

Needless to say she along with her friends are pissed by this. This also led to many, Many raids against them with Delsin and Fetch leading the charge.

With that done. Luz and Camila went home.

Later that night

Luz was sleeping now done with school. Sleeping soundly until a noise woke both her and Camila.

Luz went the bathroom and topped off on her powers. Camila was already downstairs with a red bat at hand ready to fight.

“Mama did you hear that?!” Luz shouted.

“I did and I hope it’s just an injured animal.” Camila said

Luz raised an eyebrow.

“I thought we… the officer in charge was Hopkins wasn’t it.” Luz said at first confused then annoyed.

“Me temo que si.” Camila said.

“Ay dios.” Luz said as she facepalms.

“Let’s go… oh one more thing unless I say otherwise don’t use your powers.” Camila said.

Luz nodded.

They went out of the house and went to the nearby forest. After about 20 minutes Luz heard a pained voice nearby.

Luz went to where she see something that was like a 4 out 10 on the weird-o-meter.

This thing has a small, chubby serpentine body with two arms and a tail in place of legs. Her face is round with wide eyes and a turned-up nose. She has a catlike mouth in a "W" shape with two small teeth poking out from her bottom jaw with her lower lip being a dark maroon color. She has pale, swamp-green scales with cream-colored spots on her head, tail, underbelly, and the bottom half of her face. There are tufts of navy-blue hair on her head, back, and ears. Her eyes consist of yellow-gold pupils, black irises, and aqua sclera. She has off-white fins on the sides and tip of her tail, along with a dull peacock-blue piercing on the tip.

Luz noticed that a fishing line tied to her tail. The poor thing was scared out of her mind.

“Well at least I found what made the noise.” Luz said.

It was then that thing (?) spoke.

“Please don’t hurt me.” The thing said.

“Don’t worry. My mom and I will help you. Can you give me your name?” Luz said.

“T-thank you I’m number five.” The now named Number Five said.

“That won’t but that will be for another time for now I’ll call you Vee.” Luz said.

The newly rechristened Vee smile until she winched.

“Oh right Mama come here.” Luz said.

“I’m here Lu- dios mios.” Camila said.

“Mom she’s hurt.” Luz said as she pointed to her tail.

Camila’s face harden as she got to work. She noticed that it was indeed Hopkin’s work.

Luz was asked to use her powers.

“Ok Vee just hold still ok.” Luz said as Vee nodded.

Luz began to channel her powers as she cuts the fishing line.

Vee’s eyes widen as she saw the powers Luz used.

“I thought there was no magic in the Human Realm?” Vee said.

Camila didn’t hear her as she was treating her.

But Luz did.

“Well let’s just say what you know about us humans is… outdated.” Luz said.

“Ok I’ve done all I can here. We need to get her home.” Camila said.

Luz nodded.

Sometime later

Luz and Camila had just finished treating Vee’s wounds and Vee thanked the Nocedas.

“It’s no problem Vee. I’m just glad that the wound didn’t get infected.” Camila said.

“So… where are you from Vee?” Luz asked.

“You wouldn’t believe me?” Vee said.

“Well I can literally control water. I know a chick that can vaporize people with Neon, I know of a man who could control both Ice and Electricity and best friend/future best man can control five different power sets. So I can believe it.” Luz said as Camila nods.

“Ok then.” Vee said.

Vee then told them about her life.

Needless to say they were pissed, shocked and amazed (ok that last one is on Luz).

After a few hours Vee was given the basement and an air mattress to sleep in.

While that happened Luz and Camila spoke.

“This is quite the dilemma.” Camila said.

“Yeah so… what do we do?” Luz said.

“I don’t know? But I do know that we need to take care of her.” Camila said.

“Oh yeah we will. So how do I go off the grid this year?” Luz said.

“Hmmm… I don’t know maybe we could.” Camila started to say until she see an owl peck at the window.

Both Nocedas looked out the window to see a small owl. He has a tan face, a light brown stomach, and his back, wings, tail, and upper head and forehead are dark brown. He has large yellow eyes and a russet beak and feet.

Mother and Daughter recognized the little bird.

“OWLBERT!” Luz said.

“Edalyn’s Pet Owl.” Camila said.

Luz opened the window and let the little guy in.

“Oh you cute little guy how have you been? I haven’t seen you in years.” Luz asked.

“Hoot.” Owlbert said with a nod.

“Is Eda with you?” Camila asked.

Owlbert shakes his head.

“Think you can give Eda a message?” Luz asked as Owlbert hoots excitedly.

Vee eyes widen as she recognized what Owlbert is.

“(The Owl Lady’s Palisman, here)?” Vee thought.

Luz wrote a letter and gave it to Owlbert.

Owlbert gave a salute with his wing and flew off.

“Ok then with that settled I think we should go back to bed.” Camila said.

“Yeah we should we’ll deal with this in the morning.” Luz said.

The three of them nodded at this and went to bed.

With Owlbert

Owlbert’s POV

Oh happy day what was just another day of collecting human garbage turned into a reunion! I had just seen the Water Owlet and her mother after so long.

I hadn’t seen her since Seattle. Hell I didn’t see Neon Hawk, Video Owl and City Crow. I missed them but I didn’t missed Concrete Gosse and I had no idea where Smokey Raven went. But I really hated Concrete Gosse she was the one that didn’t let Water Owlet, Smokey Raven, Neon Hawk and Video Owl fly and be free. She was also the one who attacked City Crow’s Murder.

Soon however I crossed the threshold and saw my mistress and my royal friend. Also Hooty he’s there too.

“Oh Owlbert you’re back and where’s your haul?” His Mistress asked.

I gave Mistress the letter she then read who the letter was from. Her eyes widen in shock as she reads the, to and from.

To: Mama Owl

From: Water Owlet

“Water Owlet… Luz.” His mistress said with a wide grin.

She then read the letter. Surprised that a Basilisk is alive.

“King, Owlbert we’re going to the human realm tomorrow morning.” His Mistress said.

Chapter 1

The Witch, The Warden, The Vet and The Conduit

It was early in the morning when num- oh that's right the young human with powers named her Vee. Anyway she woke up as she took a look around her suroundings. It was a small room in a basement. Vee looks down to where her tail was bandaged.

Vee touches the bandaged part only to flinch.

yeah that stung. But it was far less then it was at the start.

The door to the basement opened to the girl with powers.

"Hey Vee. Mama is calling us for breakfast." Luz said as she came down.

"Oh ok I um." Vee stammered.

"Oh right you can't climb up the steps right?" Luz asked as Vee nods.

"Alright then… and scoop." Luz said as she scoops up Vee.

"Oh wow you're a lot stronger then you look." Vee said surprised to see Luz's strength.

"Ehh it helps that I can conjure up a lot of water." Luz said with a grin.

"What does that have to do with with your strength?" Vee said.

"I'll tell you at the table." Luz said.

Meanwhile with Camila

Camila was working hard to make breakfast for their new guest. Thankfully Vee told them in her own words that she can eat mostly anything except for those purple sweet tubers she once stole from the Owl Lady before coming to the human realm.

Camila will have to make sure that she doesn't give Vee Batatas.

"And speaking of the snake girl. Here she(?) comes." Camila said.

"Morning mama." Luz said as she set down Vee.

"Hi miss Noceda." Vee shyly said.

"Luz, Vee good morning to the both of you." Camila said.

Soon the three of them ate breakfast which was of arepas filled with ham, cheese and eggs. At least that's what Camila and Vee. Luz due to being Lactose Intolerant had bacon in her arepas instead of cheese.

After they ate the three of them went to the living room to discuss on what they would do next.

"Ok what do we do now?" Camila asked.

"Not sure but maybe we should get some documents for Vee?" Luz said.

"How do we do that Mija we also need a name for her." Camila said.

"But I like Vee." Vee said rubbing her arm.

"You can still use Vee mostly for a nickname or something between family and loved ones. You still need a proper name for paperwork purposes… how about Victoria?" Camila asked.

Vee thought about it for a bit and smiled. She was about to answer when the doorbell rang.

Camila went to the door and upon opening revealed an old friend of Luz. Someone she met in Seattle. Eda Clawthrone.

Eda is a tall, slender woman in her mid-to-late 40s, with ivory skin, pointed ears, maroon lips, and golden eyes. Her untamed hair is thick, long, and layered with tones of gray. She has a removable gold fang, orange claw-like nails, and an oval amber gem on her sternum. Eda initially wore a sleeveless, two-tone maroon dress with a ripped hem design and gray tights. Her jewelry consisted of two orange spherical earrings and a gold spherical ring. For footwear, she wore maroon high-heeled boots.

Owlbert was also on her shoulder as well.

"Holy shit Eda!" Luz as she rushed to hug Eda.

"Water Owlet it´s been so long!" Eda said.

"Eda what happened to you like vanished from the face of the planet?!" Luz said.

"Don't worry about it Luz." Eda said.

"Eda, Eugene couldn't find you. You know Video Owl with the video powers." Luz said.

"Ok fair enough, anyway I heard you got yourselves a new snake friend." Eda said.

All eyes went towards Vee. To which she nervously waves at Eda.

"Anyway I know where she came from it´s actually the same place I came from." Eda said.

"Oh that's right you said that you lived somewhere in Connecticut?" Camila said.

"Yeah I did and I like to show you my home." Eda said as she opens her suitcase and a portal appeared.

Vee wasn't surprised since this was the very thing that got her here in the first place. For Luz and Camila on the other hand…

"Ah mama, Eda pardon my language but what the fuck." Luz said as Camila held out a jar and Luz puts two dollars in it.

"Well then step inside and I'll tell you." Eda said.

Luz then gets up and turns to Camila.

"I trust Eda Mama." Luz said.

"I know. Vee stay here and we'll talk about this later ok." Camila said.

"Actually I think it might be better to take her to my place and before you ask, um Vee was it?" Eda asked as Vee nods.

Eda noticed that Vee looked afraid and place a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm not gonna rat you out the Emperor's Coven. That and I need someone to distract Hooty." Eda said.

Vee nods.

Soon all three of them went through the portal and then they saw Eda's home.

Unknown location

The humans looked upon the land where Eda had taken them.

Luz was pretty sure her 3 year old self was feeling very fucking vindicated right now with what she was seeing.

The Pink sky, the Red Grass, the mountains that looked like bones and a Griffin flying over as it… puked spiders?!

Oh yeah Luz was sure her younger self is laughing her ass off.

"Welcome to the Boiling Isles!" Eda said.

"Um… how?!" Luz said.

"Remember all of the stories I told you about this place during our time in Seattle." Eda said.

"You mean everything you told me is true? Just about every monster from human legend was a result of bits of your world leaking into ours. Vampires, werewolves, giraffes..." Luz said before getting interrupted.

"Alto Jiraffas, They came from here?" Camila said in disbelief.

"Oh yeah, we banished those guys ages ago. Buncha freaks." Eda said with a shudder.

Luz then remembers one story in particular and splashes Eda with some water.

"Mija!" Camila said.

"The hell was that for kid?!" Eda said.

"Rainestorm." Luz said with a flat look on her face.

Eda's look softens.

"Oh I must have told you that one by mistake and if I remember correctly you´d splash water on the bitch that broke Rainestorm's heart." Eda said.

"Remember Eda it took all of us to defeat Augustine we all supported one another and I think you and I can help with fixing to at least get you two to be friends with them." Luz said.

Eda stood there for a bit.

"I'll think about alright." Eda said softly as Luz nods.

Soon however Eda's frown turned upside down as they arrived at their destination.

"Luz, Camila and Vee welcome to the Owl house." Eda said.

The Owl House is a large house made from white brick with a sloping blue roof. A stained glass window above the door gives the impression of a large orange demon eye.

"Cool digs." Luz said as they reached the front door.

That was until the door ordainment came to life.

"Password plea-BLARG? HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR HOOT!" The door ordainment said.

Luz had blasted it with water.

"Oh Titan Damnit Hooty." Eda said as she facepalms.

Hooty has a wooden light beige owl face with a darker orange upper side, brown eyes, and an orange beak. Behind the door where he is placed, there is a back frame of his owl body with wings and two peepholes attached where his eyes normally are.

"Ugh anyways Hooty let us in." Eda said.

"Alright fine. So much for letting me have my fun." Hooty said as he lets the group in.

Soon they find themselves in the Living room which is located right behind the front door. It includes a fireplace facing opposite two couches, candles, a wall of artifacts, and Eda's wanted poster (along with Luz's, Delsin's, Fetch's and Eugene's) and artwork of an owl creature on the ceiling.

"Ah what's with the wanted poster?" Luz said.

"Well you know how you were wanted by simply existing?" Eda said as Luz and Camila nod.

"Yeah." Luz said.

"Well it's sort of the same for me except I didn't join a group called a coven. Which restricts the kinds of magic I can use? Unless I was in the Emperor's Coven." Eda said.

"Are you telling us that by not joining in a neat little box you're a criminal? Did I get that right?" Luz asked.

"Yeah you did." Vee said.

"Pretty much Hoot." Hooty said.

"Did I forget to mention that once you're branded it cuts your lifespan by a good chunk." Eda said.

"Ok if there is a rebellion I'm joining." Luz flatly said.

"Honestamente voy con teigo Mija." Camila said in Spanish.

"Huh thanks for that but as of now there's no rebellions against Emperor Belos." Eda said.

"So that didn't stop us from going after the DUP." Luz said.

Eda shrugs conceding to Luz's point.

"That's another thing I'm cashing in that favor." Eda said.

"Oh ok. What do you need?" Luz asked.

"Well you see my roommate had his crown stolen by the Emperor's Coven." Eda said

"Who's your roomie?" Luz asked.

"WHO DARES DISTURB I!" A deep voice said.

Heavy footsteps were heard and even felt descending the stairs. Revealing a little kid.

The King of Demons?!" the kid said.

"Alright King that's enough." Eda said.

King is a young, bipedal demon with a small stature. He has slightly purplish dark gray fur, save for his stomach and the tip of his tail, which are mauve in color. He has short limbs, a round body and stomach, and a bushy fox like tail. Each of his hands possess two triangular, bone-like claws with flat inner sides, acting as his fingers, as well as short, pointed thumbs. His feet are somewhat stumpy and have mauve metatarsal pads, with two more claws on the front of either foot acting as his toes. He also has large, protruding eyes with orchid irises and yellow sclerae, as well as black, yellow-rimmed eyelids. He has slightly longer and shaggier fur around his cheeks, neck and nape. King's upper head past his lower jaw and neck regions is a horned skull which is canine-esque, which is embedded over his eyes and eyelids, also acting as his upper jaw. His horns are tall and point backward, curving slightly inward, the left of which is broken off near the base in a notch shape. The muzzle of his skull has two large, outward-pointing canine teeth, and he has two molars on either side near the base of it. He has an upside-down triangle-shaped nasal cavity covered by a pointed upper nasal bone, giving the hole a pointed, heart-shaped appearance when viewed head on. The skull itself is entirely stationary, save for his brow ridges, which can change position with his expression like normal brows.

Naturally King was both fluffy and huggable. So…

"AY, QUE LINDO!"

...Camila had tackled him in a hug, stroking his fur and making infantile noises as they nuzzled him.

Luz thankfully had a bit more self-control.

"WEH! Eda, help! This plus sized monster has me captured!" King said as he tries to escape.

"Oh, calm down, King, these two are the key to getting your crown back." Eda said.

"Oh... hooray!" King said.

Eda chuckled as she shakes her head.

"Anyway King's crown is in The Conformatorium. Rumor has it that only humans can get pass the contraband barrier. I need the both of you to help me get it back." Eda said.

Luz and Camila were shocked at this and the Water Owlet made it known.

"Ok Eda. Me I can understand but Mama why her?!" Luz said.

Eda raised an eyebrow and shrugged.

"Oh that's simple it's just in case the barrier is not Conduit friendly. Last thing we need is to pull a Dum Dum. May he rest in peace." Eda said.

This was followed by a brief silence from Luz and an I Hate how that makes sense from Camila.

Luz then takes a deep breath and states.

"Let's do this Eda." Luz said.

Sometime later

The Conformatorium

The quartet were soon at the gates of the conformatorium ready to take back what is theirs.

"Alright then kiddo you remember the plan?" Eda said.

"Yeah I go in through a maintenance pipe, knock out the guards and bust the prisoners loose." Luz said as she explains the plan.

Good. Eda said with a smile.

"Try not to kill anyone ok Mija." Camila said as Luz nods.

"I wouldn't do that even if you paid me." Luz said as she gets into position.

"Good luck Water Owlet." Eda said.

"Buena Surete Mija." Camila said.

Luz then walks towards the Maintenance pipe. She then turns into Water Vapor and goes into the pipe.

Conformatorium's Armory

Luz enters a room filled to the brim with weapons, armor and staffs. She then takes out a small crystal mirror.

"Eda do you read me?" Luz whispered.

"Loud and…somewhat clear ugh remind me to get you a Scroll." Eda said.

Unless it meant something else Luz didn't know how a piece of paper would help her.

"It looks like I'm in an armory of some sort?" Luz said.

"Let me check… Oh it looks like you're in the trainee armory all of the stuff in there wouldn't harm a fire bee." Eda said.

"I'm gonna take one it might be useful." Luz said as she pockets the mirror.

She looks around for a bit until she noticed a small sword on the wall. Upon a closer look she noticed that the sword was segmented. On a lark she did a slash only for the thing to extend towards the opposite wall.

"Oh genial. A whip sword!" Luz said as she places the sword on her waist.

"(Well if Delsin can use a sword I can use one too)." Luz thought as she leaves the room.

Luz soon finds the holding cells where it held prisoners.

"Eda I'm in some holding cells where are you two?" Luz said.

"Just outside of the contraband room." Eda said.

"That was fast I'm gonna check on the prisoners and if they are what I think they are we can use their escape as a distraction." Luz said.

"That's and awesome idea kiddo." Eda said.

"Just make sure that they are harmless Mija." Camila said.

"Ok mama." Luz said as she put the mirror away.

"Hey you guys alright? I mean besides the obvious." Luz said.

"Not really but how you get out?" The Witch girl said.

"I actually broke in. So what you in for?" Luz asked.

"I wrote fanfiction about food falling in love." The Witch girl said.

Luz gave a very impressive 'Are you shiting me' look.

The Witch not surprised by her look nodded.

"I'm afraid so, I'm Katya the other in the cells behind you are Tinella Nosa and Robert." The now named Katya said.

Katya is a humanoid witch with pointy ears, dark skin, and black hair styled in a ponytail with a few tuffs sticking out the front. She has upturned hazel eyes with three eyelashes on each eye as well as distinguished fangs.

Tinella Nosa is a small round white demon with large blueish eyes within yellowish sclera, a rather prominent nose, and long red hair. She also has two off white buck teeth. She is effectively just a head with no body, with her limbs coming directly out of her head.

Robert is a light grayish-blue monster with at least six eye holes, which will either have all his eyes or a few missing. Said eyes have sea green irises. In his youth, he had a tuff of orange hair atop his head.

"Ok what they in for?" Luz tentatively asked.

"I eat my own eyeballs which is weird that I'm here since they grow back." Robert said as he eats one of his eyeballs and it grew back.

"We awe agents of fwee expwession! They will never siwence us!" Tinella yelled.

"She's really into conspiracy theories." Katya said.

"The world is a simulation! We are plaything for a higher being!" Tinella yelled once more.

"Ok who is this higher Being?" Luz said.

"He is one who combines aspects of two or more worlds! He has made over 28 worlds by this method. Noceda you must find the heiress of Saint McGrath for only you and her can sto-." Tinella started to say be she was interrupted.

Isara: hey stop that Tiny Nose or else

"You cannot stop spoiled whore of-."Tinella started to say until she was somehow buried in papers.

Isara: huh that was fun no wonder my husband loves doing that to Aoyama

Katya and Luz decided to ignore her.

"Ok ignoring that now how do I get to the contraband room?" Luz asked.

"It just straight through here kid just be careful." Katya said point to where Luz needs to go.

"Thanks and I'm Luz by the way." Luz said as she reached a lever and pulled it down opening the cells.

"Gotta love my strong Conduit arms." Luz said as she leaves.

Katya saw her cell open and called for everyone to escape.

"What are we waiting let's get the hell out of here." Katya said.

"We may leave this place but I can never leave the debt I've just received." Tinella said.

At the contraband room

Eda, Camila and King were outside of the contraband room. On the floor were several Coven guards. All of them knocked out by Eda.

"Oh we just need to wait for Luz to come by." Eda said as she heard footsteps but soon stops herself as she sees that it is Luz.

"Hey Eda you ok?" Luz asked.

"Yeah we're good we just need to go in and get King's crown." Eda said.

Soon the group went inside as they saw a bunch of stuff from the Human realm.

"Dios, that's a lot of stuff." Camila said with wide eyes.

"Ok Luz go on in." Eda said as Luz nods.

Luz walks up to where the barrier is supposed to be. She tries push through only to get pushed back.

"Hijo de Puta!" Luz cursed as she felt the burns from her hands.

"Mija ten." Camila said as she gives Luz a bottle of water.

Luz opens the bottle and absorbs the water and healing her hands.

"Sorry mama looks like you're up." Luz said.

Camila took a deep breath walked towards the barrier and… passed through without a fuss.

"Huh I guess Eda was right." Camila said.

She then decides to look around at the stuff and finds a lot of stuff. One of the things she finds was a strange, crescent-shaped blade.

Camila had recognized it.

"A Battel'lop! I can't believe this place has one of these. It's like being in an episode of Cosmic Frontier. I am so keeping this." Camila said as she takes the blade.

The next item she finds makes her frown. It was a simple black briefcase. Or at least it is if you ignore the three bright yellow letters on it. Camila opened the case to reveal several glowing shards and a big glowing rock.

"Rayacite Shards and Rayacite core." Camila said as she grabs the briefcase.

It was then that she saw the Crown they were look for and…

"Tiene que ser una broma." Camila said as she sees the Crown.

It was a paper crown from the local Burger Queen.

She had a pretty good idea on what was going on so she took all of the stuff and turned off the barrier.

Camila took the crown to who immediately use to inforce his will of a stuffed rabbit name François.

"The crown doesn't do anything right?" Camila asked.

"Afraid not. But we don't have much in the world. So why not let the kid pretend to be a despot." Eda said with small smile.

That was until she was decapitated.

"OW! For fucks sake I hate it when that happens!" Eda complained.

Camila screams.

Luz calls upon her water ready to fight.

"Finally, Owl Lady, I have you cornered. I knew if I took your pet's toy, then you'd come running." Warth said as he snatched King's crown and crushed it.

King whimpered as he was forced to Luz side.

"What do you want me with? I've never broken any of your stupid laws… in front of you!" Eda said.

"I want you, to go out with me!" Wrath said as he pulls out a bouquet.

Wrath then goes on about how he was attracted to Eda and about his plan to lure her in. along with being a total creep about it.

"Esta hablando enserio." Camila said.

"I hate everything you're saying right now," Luz growled as water circled around her fist.

"You ju-." Wrath started to say until he was blasted by a wave of water.

"You're going Down Wrath." Luz said as she drew her sword.

"What the hell." Wrath said as he stood up.

It was then he noticed the ears and the water.

"By the Titan you're a human." Wrath said.

"And I'm and I'm here to kick your ass." Luz said.

Wrath finally got his act together and ordered his troops to attack Luz. They didn't anticipate that she would fight back.

She decides to use her new whip sword to strike her enemies but thankfully they didn't kill. She then was binding them to the ground.

Once she did that five times she began to glow.

"Oh yeah it this how Delsin felt cause damn it feels good." Luz said as she grinned at Wrath and the rest of his troops.

"What are you up to human?!" Wrath shouted.

"Only this, NOW EAT THIS SUCKA!" Luz said as she used her water powers.

Luz conjured a whole bunch of water around herself. The quantity of the water grew and grew until it reached it's apex.

She waved both her arms until it hit all of the surrounding guards and Warden Wrath.

Luz smiled at herself as she looks at what she did.

Not knowing that someone was approaching from behind her.

With Camila, Eda and King

The three of them were flying atop of Owlbert in his staff form as Eda looked at the chaos Luz cause.

"Oh hell yeah that's my Mija!" Camila said.

"You said it Cammibuns." Eda said.

"I gotta say this is one of your less messy breakups Eda." King said holding on to his new plushie.

"Not a break up would have to have dated him to make it so." Eda said.

"So not as bad as with this Rainestorm person?" Camila asked.

Eda glared at Camila for a bit before sighing.

"Yeah and for the record I did the break up. It really broke their heart." Eda said.

It was then King noticed something.

"Hey who's the loser with the weird staff?" King asked.

The older women saw what king saw but it was too late. As the person behind Luz struck with their staff.

Once they saw the lightning Eda turns Owlbert around and rushed to save Luz.

With Luz

Pain that what Luz's was experiencing. Ture utter agony as if someone was electrocuting her. She heard shouts and felt weightless.

God it hurts.

She then woke up in a hospital where she sees her mom, Eda and a girl she never met before.

The girl look like her; but her hair is green with blue tips, resembling her fins, and she keeps her basilisk ears which blend into her hair. Her skin color is lighter, though still similar enough to easily pass as a member of the Noceda family, and her legs have more muscle mass her eyes remind her of Vee's but the sclera is now white.

She also now wears a yellow and orange striped sweater with a pumpkin on the chest, blue torn pants and brown boots.

"Ow who's the asshole that used a Taser on me?" Luz asked as Camila hugged her.

The girl hugged her as well along with Eda. After a bit they let her go.

"So I'm gonna ask the obvious. What the fuck happened?" Luz asked.

Meanwhile at the Boiling Isles

The Witch that struck Luz had managed to escape and returned to the base where his mistress waited for him.

"Mistress Salem I'm back and I got it." The Witch said as he showed her the staff.

Upon seeing the staff she smiles.

"Excellent work, here's your payment." The now named Salem said as she tossed a bag of golden coins and takes the staff.

The Witch runs away with money in hand.

"I apologize little light but I need to make sure that the Saint's heiress is chosen." Salem said as she holds the staff filled with Ray Energy.

Chapter 2

The Weaken Light

It had been a week since Luz went to the Boiling Isles and despite doing some good. She was blindsided by that one Witch that Tasered her and it weaken her powers she had lost the vast majority of her powers. Right now she was testing which powers she had and which she didn't.

So far she had her Water Shot, Mist Dash, Pipe Dash, and Geyser Boost.

She however lost her Waterfall Drop, Bubble Bomb, Water Thrusters, Water Blast, Aqua Rocket, Lake Cloak and the Tidal Surge.

She even lost her passives powers such as Undine's Path, Water Walk and Water Breathing.

Worse of all she felt her Karma reset which was required for some of her powers.

She never felt this weak since her time in Curdun Cay.

"Ok this sucks not did I lose a vast majority of my powers but my other powers are weaken as well." Luz said.

Then she heard a familiar voice.

"Come Luz you shouldn't have to worry about that. You'll get them back." Vee said.

Oh right the girl she met in the hospital was actually Vee or Victoria Noceda as she called herself.

Turns out she and Hooty became friends and it was Hooty of all people who told her about what Victoria meant.

The word itself meant victory. But to her it meant a Victory over Belos.

Also Hooty gave her the idea to base her human form on Luz and turned out to be an excellent baker.

Anyway the reason Vee wanted to use their surname is because it wouldn't look weird seeing some random girl entering the Noceda home all the time. Initially that plan was to make Vee her half-sister born due to a crazy night that both Manny and Camila had involving 5 people (three women and two men), a llama with clown makeup and whole bunch of bananas.

Luz shuddered at the fact that it actually happened. Turns out both she and Dad were Bi who knew.

Anyway after that embarrassing moment Camila told them it wouldn't have worked for several reasons.

All three women were on birth control, one of the men had a vasectomy and the other was Gay.

So that plan went to bust. So they opted to just simply adopt her under the pretense that she ran away from an abusive home.

That surprisingly worked.

Vee was still a nervous snake girl and still called Camila Ms. Noceda and not mom. Yet.

Baby steps are a thing after all.

"Thanks Vee. Does Mama still those Blast Shards and Core?" Luz said.

"Yeah she does. She was wondering when you would use them." Vee said.

"Alright let's go back home." Luz said as Vee nods.

As they got back home Luz and Vee saw Eda and Camila talking and from the looks of it. It was something serious.

"So you think there are more Blast Cores for Luz?" Camila said.

"Yup I heard one of my competitors named Adegahst was seen having a black briefcase with three yellow letters on it." Eda said.

"DUP I'd imagine." Camila said as Eda nods.

"Yup now we just need a way to get it out of his hands." Eda said.

King, who was watching Bluey on TV Chimed in.

"Hey don't you use Luz to trick Adegahst into giving her the case." King said.

"That would be a good plan if Luz had all of her powers." Eda said.

"That nut job is pissed that you're stealing his business. So do this make Luz handle today's deliveries she goes into Adegahst home and she can take the case and boom more powers." King said.

"Yeah but my question is how do we get Adegahst to act?" Eda asked.

That was then when Luz piped up.

"We make him think I am a naïve girl wanting to do magic." Luz said.

"Think he'll do it?" Eda asked.

"No idea. But it wouldn't hurt to try." Luz said.

"Just be careful Mija." Camila said.

"I will Mama." Luz said.

That was then Luz received a notification on her phone.

A Conduit's Roost

City Crow: Yo Luz where you at?

Neon Hawk: seriously kid where are you?

Video Owl: Luz are you there?

Luz cringed at this and looks at Eda.

"Go on kid I still have mine." Eda said showing her fossil of a smartphone.

A Conduit's Roost

Water Owlet: guys I'm ok

City Crow: damn it kid glad you're safe.

Neon Hawk: where the hell were you Little Light?

Video Owl: yeah what Fetch said?

Water Owlet: well… you'll never believe who I found

Mama Owl swoops down

Neon Hawk: Holy Shit Eda!

City Crow: I think I speak for the three of us when I say WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU?!

Neon Hawk: Keep safe Little Light

Luz decides to use the Blast Core then the Shards. She opens the briefcase and sees both the Rayacite Core and Shards or Blast Core and Shards ready for use.

"Ok Core first then the Shards." Luz said as she picked up the Blast Core.

She then drained the core of its power and at that moment Luz's eyes shone a brilliant blue as water surged throughout her entire body.

Soon images played out in her mind and what felt like an eternity only lasted for a few seconds.

Luz then fell to the ground panting.

"Oh hell I always forget about that part." Luz said as she gets up.

Soon she looks at the Blast Shards but decides to use them later.

"Ok let's do this." Luz said as she used her powers.

With one hand she took the stance to fire a normal Water Shot but instead of firing it right away it became bigger and bigger until Luz launches it destroying a nearby rock.

Luz smiles as she looks at the damage done.

She got her Water Blast back.

Sometime Later

Boiling Isles

Luz was delivering the potions Eda had made for her clients despite being a wanted criminal she made some really good potions. From Burn Cream and Snake Oil to Booster Drinks and Scar Salve.

She was good in what she did. Too bad her mom was a bit of an Anti-Vaxxer or Anti-Potioner in this case.

Well any who she looking for a person named Adegahst from he was a wizard which were loners compared to Witches.

Basically Eda told her to find a guy with bathrobes and sandals.

King was eating another Not-Dog which turns out tasted pretty good. Soon they stumbled across a large castle that looked like something out of her Good Witch Azura books.

"So bet you 5 Snails that Adegahst's place." Luz said.

"Suckers Bet if the guy is a wizard then he must use Illusion magic to disguise his home." King said.

"Let's go King might as well see what he wants." Luz said.

Luz opens the door to find both a home and a man which looks like a stereotypical wizard would have.

"Ah you have come young one the 12 Star Beasts have foretold of your arrival come, come have a seat." Adegahst said.

Luz does so.

"I know what you are after Young Conduit." Adegahst said.

This surprised Luz as she knew that no one other than Eda, King, Hooty and Vee knows that she's a Conduit.

"How do you know that?" Luz said shock that this random person knew.

"Ah yes the Wicca Coven told me about you and your kind. They told of The Lighting Saint, The Great Liberator and The Beast." Adegahst said shuddering at the mention of the Beast.

Luz's POV

To say that I was shocked was saying something this guy knew about the Conduits. It was then that he mentioned the Wicca Coven. From what he told me, the Wicca Coven was a new coven that appeared 10 years ago and challenged Emperor Belos. They won and they requested that they be allow to use any type of Magic. Belos acquiesced knowing that he lost.

Since then they collected and made a lot of useful things for the isles.

The more I heard about the more them the more they reminded me of The First Sons.

Well Adegahst told me that if I wanted the Case I needed to help him with a simple task.

I was to get a small vial of King's Blood and deliver it to the Wicca Coven HQ. He gave me a map leading to the most recent HQ.

Normal POV

Owl house

Luz and King came back to the Owl House where Luz told her about what happened.

"The Wicca Coven I forgot about those guys but yeah from what you told me they definitely remind you of those First Sons assholes. So they want a vial of King's Blood." Eda said.

"Yeah he wants me to deliver it to the Wicca Coven HQ." Luz said as she shows Eda the map.

"Alright then first things first King!" Eda said as she called for King.

King rushed towards them.

"Yeah Eda what do ya need?" King asked.

Eda held out a Needle, a vial and 5 lollipops in her hand.

"5 lollipops if you help me fill this vial with your blood." Eda said.

"10." King said.

"5." Eda responded back

"9." King said.

"6." Eda said.

"7" and I won't go lower. King said.

"Ok you got a deal here's your 7 lollipops you glutton." Eda said as she gives the lollipops to King.

"Alright then let's get this over with. Though the next time you want my royal blood I expect to paid in Booberry pies." King said.

Eda's eyes widen as she realized that she made a deal with king.

"Nice one kid I've taught you well." Eda said.

"Weh!"

Only for Eda to poke his arm and takes the blood. But rather than the red blood that's' common to both Witches and Humans it was a bright blue. For some reason the blood looked familiar to her.

"Alright then… here you go Luz." Eda said as she gives her the blood filled vial.

"Well damn I guess King is a real Blueblood." Luz said with grin.

"YES! My royal lineage is real!" King shouted in cheer.

"And now I have to deal with King lovely." Eda said as Luz left.

After she left Eda took another look at the extra vial she got.

"There's no way… right?" Eda said.

Sometime later

Wicca Coven HQ

Luz had arrived at the Wicca Coven HQ where she was supposed to deliver the vial.

She saw a pair of guards just outside both of them with the same kind of staff that one Witch stabbed her with.

The guards soon and spoke.

"Halt! State your business!" Guard 1 said.

Luz showed them the vial while Guards 1 and 2 nodded.

"I see that you have it good. Adegahst told us that you'd be coming go right in." Guard 2 said as he lets Luz pass.

Luz then entered the building where she was slightly disappointed. It looked like a normal government building.

Then a receptionist saw Luz.

"Excuse me are you Luz Noceda?" The Receptionist said.

"I am who told you?" Luz said.

"Adegahst said you'd be coming here with the sample." The Receptionist said.

"(Of course he did)." Luz thought.

"Any who let us get the vial to Lady Salem shall we." The Receptionist said.

Soon the Receptionist led Luz to the main office of Lady Salem.

"Alright then kid you're as of this moment. Just go in and give the vial alright." The Receptionist said.

Luz Nods as The Receptionist leave.

The Water Conduit looks at the doors and took a deep breath and opened them.

Luz's POV

I opened the door and what I saw shocked me I knew her name is Salem and these people reminded me of the First Son but god I did not expect to find a magic Kessler.

The Kessler-like person I saw was Salem. I knew that she was a woman. She was tall, curvy but definitely had some muscle the top half of her face was hidden by a cat mask. She wore some clothes along with some armor and a white cloak on her back was that staff again.

She introduced herself and welcomed me to her HQ. She also explained that she wanted a favor from me.

I was skeptical about it at first but she assures me that she is no Moira which spooked me that she even knew about her. Anyway she told me that Adegahst had stolen something from the Coven she showed me and it was the very briefcase that he had.

Salem told me that I can keep the case if I brought Adegahst to her.

It was a simple task and I accepted it. I gave her the vial and surprisingly she gave me 5 Blast Shard as an advanced payment. She also gave me a medal to prove that I did the task.

I nodded and left.

Just as the door was about to close I hear Salem say something.

"Good Luck Little Light"

Outside of Wicca Coven HQ

Once Luz got out she took out her new scroll she got from Eda and called her.

"Eda it's me I just gave the vial to Salem and get this Adegahst stole the case from the Wicca Coven." Luz said.

"Shit kid didn't think he'd have the balls to do that?" Eda said.

"Well Salem told that I can keep the Blast Core if I get Adegahst to her." Luz said.

"Good you know your way back to that bastard?" Eda asked.

Luz nods and tells her as such.

"Good kick his ass for me kid." Eda said.

Luz then hangs up and Mist dashes away.

Up on top a balcony stood Salem. With a small smile on her face she calls for one of her guards.

"Noren." Salem said.

"Yes Lady Salem?" The now named Noren said.

Noren is a Witch with some Demon Ancestry specifically of the bug variety. He has silver hair with blue eyes. Dressed in the Wicca Coven's uniform hold the same staff as Luz.

"As soon as Noceda incapacities Adegahst you are to capture him and assure she gets the briefcase." Salem said.

"As you command Lady Salem." Noren said as he flew off not with a staff but with his dragonfly like wings.

With Luz

Luz Arrives at Adegasht's castle as soon as she gets there she kicks down the door revealing a stunned Adegasht.

"Oh young Conduit I- didn't expect you back so soon." Adegasht said.

"I know you stole the briefcase." Luz said.

Upon hearing that Adegasht frowned.

"It would seem I don't need to pretend anymore. Prepare to face my awesome power." Adegasht said as he wiggled his fingers and shouted random words.

Which were used but not limited to the following. Shazam, Kaplooy, Abracadabra, Wubba Lubba Dub Dub! and Kablam!

Luz was not impressed as she fired a Water Blast at Adegasht causing him to hit a wall.

Once that happen the wizard's castle slowly transformed into an old shack.

"Huh so you're just a scammer and a gross one at that." Luz said.

Soon Adegast's true form was revealed to Luz, his body consists of his large head, along with a series of prehensile tentacles. The underside of his head is attached to a pair of spindly, black arms and a clutch of gold spheres. The demon's gruesome face is pale and pouchy, with two bulbous eyes above his cheeks, with two narrowed eyes that resemble nostrils. His mouth lacks lips, showing his pale yellow teeth. His pupils are amber in color.

Luz took out her sword and channeled her powers into it. Knowing that this was about to go down.

Adegasht lashed out first with his tentacles. But Luz dodged them and slashed them with her sword.

"GGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Adegasht roared in pain.

Luz then followed up with a Water Blast to the eye.

"AH Titan damnit! Just stand still and die!" Adegasht shouted as he used his tentacles once more.

Luz tried to fire another shot of her powers only to run out.

"Oh tiene que ser una maldita broma." Luz said as she dodges another tentacle.

"Great just great vaya momento de no tener agua." Luz said.

Adegasht then captured Luz with his tentacles.

"Got you little bitch." Adegasht said as he captures Luz making her drop her sword.

Luz struggles to escape the tentacles that are crushing her.

Why the hell did she go alone if she had all of her powers she would have taken this bitch down especially since she had no way to recharge…

Ok that was a lie she had a way to recharge but… she didn't like it.

But it looks like she has no choice.

With her free hand she lowers it down touching Adegasht tentacle.

Only for a water tank to smash Adegasht's face in.

This caused Adegasht to let Luz go and the water tank to break releasing it contents.

Luz seeing an opportunity drains the water thus recharging her powers to the max.

Ok Hijo de Puta let's do this. Luz said as fires another Water Blast.

It hits Adegasht directly along with another and another until he was beaten.

Now reduced to tiny version of himself Luz walked towards Adegasht as he begged for mercy.

Luz's POV

Look at this guy begging for mercy after nearly killing me.

I could always kill him to assure that he won't be a problem anymore. But I could lose out on the Briefcase.

Or

I could leave him be and let Salem handle it and get the Briefcase.

What should I do?

Normal POV

"Adegasht I'm not going to hurt you I'm taking you to Salem." Luz said as she made her choice.

In her mind a single image was shown. It was Two Luz's a Purple one with a staff and a Gold one with a sword neither one facing each other and a single word could be heard over and over again.

Activist

"Miss Noceda I'm here for Adegasht." Noren said as he holds up a tiny cage.

"Did Salem send you?" Luz asked as Noren nods.

"Ok just need one thing from this little guy. Where's the Briefcase?" Luz said as Adegasht points to a corner of his home.

Luz then hands over Adegasht to Noren and finds the Briefcase.

"Thanks for the help Noren." Luz said as she Mist Dashes away.

After Luz Left Noren picks up his scroll and calls Salem.

"It's done Adegasht is captured." Noren said.

After a bit Noren nods.

"I understand Lady Salem." Noren said.

Then Noren leaves with Adegasht as he returns to HQ.

Outside of Adegasht's Castle

Luz was now outside of the Bug Demon's castle. With briefcase Luz knew she had won. The as she takes a turn she sees an empty wall.

Luz looks at the wall and thinks to herself.

"(Hmmm… it's missing something)." Luz thought as she does the picture frame thing.

Then in a flash Luz gets an idea.

Take out a spray can from her pack Luz gets to work.

2 hours later

It had been two hours since Luz started and she smiled at her work.

It was Delsin's True Hero Symbol flying over a cheering crowd under a beautiful night sky.

"As a great man once said the Journey of a Thousand miles starts with one Kickass Tag." Luz said as she took some photos.

As she admires her work Luz then notices something on the night sky she had painted. It was some sort of symbol.

The line stretches from the bottom of the circle to about two-thirds up. A perfectly horizontal line connects two sides of the circle, one-third up from the bottom of the circle. The ends of the horizontal line are connected to the top of the vertical line. Two slanted bars cut through the vertical line just above the horizontal line. In the space between the top of the vertical line and the top of the circle, a circle that doesn't reach the top and two tangents from the circle to the top finish the symbol.

"Hell is this?" Luz asked as she draws the same symbol on her notepad.

When Luz touched it the paper it was on crumpled up and turned into a ball of light.

"No way. I. I did magic. Hice Magia." Luz said as she drew another symbol.

No it was a Glyph. For some reason they're called Glyphs.

"I can't wait to tell Eda!" Luz said as she dashed back to the Owl House.

Only to for girl to look at Luz's art and post it at Penstagram.

"This looks nice." The girl said with a smile.

With Eda

Eda was exhausted but she now knew that this was real. This was Titan's Blood.

"Titan Above, Below and in My Home." Eda said as she looks at a sleeping King with a half-eaten Booberry Pie near him.

Firem78910 hey guys Firem78910 here with another chapter of A Conduit's Light last time we left off we saw Luz kicking Adegasht ass oh and Eda discovering that King is a Titan

Chapter 3

A New Friend

It had been two days since she had beaten Adegasht and learned Magic from the Glyphs. When she showed Eda the Light Glyph she and her Mama were amazed by it.

Eda stated that it was some ancient form of Magic from the first Witches before they got their Bile Sacks. It was also that moment that Luz decided to stay in the Boiling Isles for the summer. She also told her older friends about and they told her to be careful and to not forget about the Pilgrimage.

Luz told them that she wouldn't miss it for the world.

Victoria wished Luz luck and reminded her to use both the Blast Shards and Blast Core.

She did and she got her Bubble Bomb back. So that was a plus.

Right now she was walking in the woods with a slime ball on her person. Eda and King were working to get the human junk from creatures called Trash Slugs.

Well at least she now knew where all of the socks and Tupperware lids of the world were at.

Luz looks at the slime ball and wondering what to do with it.

"Huh a Wild Witch has to be resourceful huh?" Luz said as she puts away the slime ball.

That was another thing Eda decided to do she had promised Luz that she would make her into her apprentice which was nice of her. Especially since she doesn't have a Bile Sack to do magic.

Would that have stopped her or her younger self? No it wouldn't. Despite being in that hellhole and fighting in Seattle she still loved Magic.

Luz walked around the woods a bit more until she heard a voice.

"You can do it!" The Voice said.

Luz then followed the source of the voice. Which was a young Witch girl.

The Witch Girl is a shorter-than-average, plus-sized, stocky fair-skinned girl who has pointed ears, olive-green eyes, and short, neat navy-blue hair with a few loose strands.

She wears a pair of round gold-framed glasses and what looked a typical school uniform, consisting of a gray tunic, a dark gray cowl and belt with a gold pin, and gray-black short-heeled shoes. Her sleeves and tights were orchid and she wore a pair of boots.

Luz ever curious listened in.

"You can do it! Even if you get a bad grade, it's not a reflection of who you are as a Witch! And my dads are right! There are more opportunities on this track! Now, get to school!" The girl said, taking a confident step forwards.

Luz smiled at her confidence.

All that confidence left when she realized she'd stepped on a flower.

"Oh no! I'm sorry little guy!" she said, taking a knee to cradle the plant. She traced a spell circle, and the plant flickered back to life.

Ok Luz could recognize this from miles away.

This was a classic case of doing what her dads want against what she wants and judging by the mention of bad grades she was not good at what her dads want to do.

She knew what to do. But just before she could speak when a wagon came into view, powered by magic. A top of said wagon was a pretty Witch girl.

The Witch is thin and pale-skinned with bright golden eyes and pointed ears. Her hair started out as chin-length, with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and a mostly covered undercut visible at the temples. Her hair is also a two-toned, dyed aquamarine-green with brown hair, her natural hair color visible at the roots.

She wears the same gray tunic with the same colored sleeves and leggings as the other Witch girl, a dark gray belt, cowl, and dark-gray heeled boots with a light gray top, and red and white socks underneath. The rest of her attire includes wearing triangle-shaped black earrings and black nail polish. She also has a star pin on her cowl, which showed that she was the top student.

Did Luz also mention that she was pretty?

Anyway she goes on about being the Top Student and being the stereotypical Mean Girl. She knew that it was an act. Luz had sharper senses and knew she was acting. Most likely by orders from her parents. She also knows that their names are Willow and Amity.

After Amity left Willow got pissed.

"I can't take it anymore! I'm sick of making Abominations! I'm sick of getting bad grades!" Willow shouted as her eyes shined a bright green.

The plants around Willow seemed to react to her anger, grass and bushes and tree branches writhing in a non-existent breeze. With a final yell, Willow threw her arms out and thick, thorny vines erupted from the ground around her feet.

One vine wrapped around Luz's ankle and ripped her out of her hiding place before she could react. She yelped as she was dumped unceremoniously at the young Witch's feet.

Luz instinctively readied her sword and a Water Blast as she was confronted by Willow's eyes.

Those eyes abruptly returned to normal and the vine released Luz as Willow gasped.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" She dropped to the ground in front of Luz, eyes no longer glowing and wide with concern.

"Yeah I'm alright not the first someone with plant powers caught me by surprise." Luz said as she dusted herself off.

She wasn't even lying about that. Though Luz remembers Conrad from her days in Curdun Cay.

She wonders what he's doing now.

Willow then notices her ears and mentions that she's a Human.

"Yeah I am and a bit more. So what's going between you and the mean girl?" Luz asked.

Despite only having just met her Willow feels like she can trust her.

"Ugh Amity Blight, she always does this since she's the Top Student of the Abomination Track." Willow said.

"And the reason that you're working with mud monsters and not flowers is because the latter has better "opportunities"?" Luz said as she makes air quotes while Willow nods.

"Yeah I just want at least one good grade to show my Dad's but I hate Abominations." Willow said as she tears up.

Luz's POV

Man poor Willow I know that she doesn't want to disappoint her dads but does it have to come at the cost of her happiness.

Maybe I could help Willow Cheat and rub it in Amity girls face then Willow would owe me one

Or

I can Convince Willow to change Classes to the one that she wants and needs

What should I do?

Normal POV

Making her choice Luz spoke.

"Hey maybe you should talk to your Principal about switching Classes and between the both of you. Maybe you could convince your dads that this is what you want and need." Luz said as she places her hand on Willow's shoulder.

Willow dried her tears and thought for a minute before sighing.

"You're right miss human I hate Abominations and I love Plants the choice should have obvious. I need to speak to Principal Bump." Willow said.

"Oh by the way I'm Luz Noceda." Luz said as she holds out her hand.

"I'm Willow Park and thank you Luz." Willow said as she shakes Luz's hand.

Then a scream was heard. Luz got ready to fight but Willow got worried before shaking her head.

"Hey Luz it's just the warning screams meaning it's time for class." Willow said.

"Alright then let's go see the principal um Bump right?" Luz said as Willow nods.

Principal's office

Principal Hieronymus Bump was having a good but boring day on Hexside. No new blood feuds were made, the Grudgby field was ready for the new season, no interesting magic was being made, and the Detention pit was full. All in all a very boring day. Oh and his Palisman Frewin received a new coat of lacquer.

Principal Bump is presumably an older man, judging from the wrinkles surrounding his upper lip, with light-beige skin. He has long black hair, brown eyes but with his left eye sewn shut, and a scar runs down from his upper right scalp. Most of the time, his upper face is obscured by his Palisman, an imp named Frewin. He also has the Abomination Coven sigil on his right forearm.

Bump wears a traditional academic dress consisting of a long black gown with a gold yoke, a black cape, gold trim at the sleeves and cape hem, plus a blue stole draped over his shoulders and black pointed shoes. He also has an orchid abomination coven sigil on the inside of his right wrist. Frewin, the Palisman on his head, covers half of his face, giving him the appearance of being consumed by said Palisman. With Frewin on him, Bump has Frewin's eyes, which appear teal with bright yellow sclera.

All was quiet until there was a knock on his door. That usually meant that someone was in trouble.

"Come in." Bump said.

The door opened to reveal Miss Park and a visitor.

He wondered what Miss Park needed. He then noticed the ears of the other person.

They were round signifying that she is a human.

"Ah Miss Park may I help you?" Bump asked.

"Yes I'd like to transfer to the Plant Track. I know that Abominations has more opportunities but I fee- no I Need to go to the Plant Track." Willow said.

"I see well I can say that… it's about Titan Damned Time!" Bump said.

This perplexes both Willow and Luz.

"What did you think I wouldn't know about the few times you used Plant Magic along with how good you are in that particular branch of Magic. Hel I've had to hold back Professor Leifstrum from mauling your fathers for putting you into a Track that was ill suited for you." Bump said.

"Oh thank you Principal Bump." Willow said with Joy in her voice.

"Now, now before anything else we need to test and yes this is obligatory." Bump said.

"Um what can I use?" Willow said.

It was then that Luz Spoke.

"Um I have this thing. I think there's a seed in there." Luz said as she shows them the slime ball.

"Ooo a Briar seed pod this is perfect." Willow said.

Now Miss why don't show… um. Bump said as he realized he never got Luz's name.

"Luz Noceda, She/Her." Luz said as she gave her pronouns.

"Right, thank you. Why don't you show Miss Noceda Around our lovely school Miss Park. I'll make your Abomination's Professor know that you're excused for the day." Bump said as Willow nods.

"Yes of course, Principal Bump." Willow said.

"Thank you Principal Bump." Luz said.

"Of course and Welcome to Hexside School of Witchcraft and Demonics." Bump said with a smile as he gives Luz a Visitors pass.

After Miss Noceda said her thanks and left with Miss Park he let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding.

He frowned as he thought about the human. The Human herself wasn't bad. But Frewin could sense something from her.

According to him it was as if two sides were currently fighting for control of her.

What caught Bump's eye however were the human's eyes. Rather than the bright eyed Witchling that were awaiting their first Magic lessons he saw a harden warrior and a charismatic rebel with a healthy amount of suspicion.

This Luz Noceda didn't trust the Coven System. Perhaps she was failed by the Humans and either Rebelled herself, led one or joined a Rebellion.

Well he didn't care if Luz wanted to tell him. She would in her own time. For now he needed to find a way to get rid of that blasted Crystal.

Bump opened a drawer to reveal a Blast Core.

With Luz and Willow

Luz was looking around school along with her new friend. Willow was telling about the school itself as she decides to show Luz the nine main classes along with the baby class.

"Ok first things first Luz we should go see the baby class." Willow said.

"What for?" Luz asked.

"If you want to know how the classes work we need to start at the beginning." Willow said.

"Fair enough, lead the way Willow." Luz said.

Baby Class

"This is the baby class led by Mx. Canri. They lead the Witchlets into learning the most basic of spells along with the most basic education." Willow said.

Mx. Canri is a Witch with Black hair and four red eyes. She wears a red dress with white stripes and a pair of loafers.

"Indeed Miss Park. May I ask who this is?" Canri said.

"I'm Luz Noceda it's nice to meet you." Luz said.

"Likewise and you're just in time Miss Noceda I was just to teach them the Light Spell." Canri said.

They soon began corralling the Witchlets as They Demonstrate how to do the Light spell.

Soon the Witchlets were trying to do the spell. This brought Willow back at her time in the baby class.

Luz on the other hand wanted to try something.

"Excuse me Mx. Canri would you mind if I used some of your chalk?" Luz asked.

Thankfully they nodded. With permission gained Luz drew the Light Glyph on the board.

"Ok let's see if this works?" Luz said as she touched the board where several balls of light appeared.

The Witchlets were amazed. Willow and Mx. Canri on the other hand were shocked.

"But how you're a human?" Canri said shocked at what she just witnessed.

"I know I don't have a Bile sack like other Witches and I can only do magic via these Glyphs. Although granted I only have the one Glyph." Luz said.

"Still that's amazing Luz." Willow said.

"Well that was still an amazing show of magic Miss Noceda. Oh I hope it won't be too much but could you draw the Glyph once more." Canri said.

Luz does so and after the Witchlets say thank you to Luz both she and Willow left for the next class. The Construction Class.

Construction Class

The Construction Class is filled with many muscle bound students with tool belts around their waists. All of them ready for the rigors of Construction Magic.

"This is the Construction Class this where everyone who choses this class learns Construction magic. They are led by Professor Strongarm." Willow said.

"We're also one of the stronger Covens in the isles. I'm Sandome Strongarm." Prof. Strongarm said.

Sandome is a tall Demon with red skin, purple eyes and a tail he is seen wearing typical Blacksmith attire with a Construction helmet on his head.

"Willow since you're here and not in that Hack's class I assume that you got your head screwed on straight." Sandome said.

"Yes I did Uncle." Willow said with a chuckle.

"Good you're good for Plants and not mud monsters or buildings." Sandome said.

He then took a look at Luz.

"Ah I see that the Magic Human is here. Got any more of those Glyph things?" Sandome said.

"Nah I only got the one." Luz said.

"Fair enough kiddo I suggest you two clear out today we're learning about demolition." Sandome said as Willow and Luz hightailed out of there.

As they left the class an explosion was heard.

"Huh I guess he meant it… so your uncle is a teacher." Luz said.

"Titanfather and Uncle but yeah he was actually the one who introduced Dad to Papa." Willow Said.

"Cool are you adopted or a Magic Potion Baby?" Luz asked.

Willow at first was confused but then remembered what her dads told her about the Human Realm.

"It's the latter Luz and is it true that some people in the Human Realm wouldn't approve of my Dad's relationship." Willow asked.

"Yeah sadly it's the case. Hell sometimes people give me hell for it for being Bisexual." Luz said.

"Bisexual wait you have words for that? We just say what we like and don't like and then move on." Willow said.

"Damn this place is getting more and more awesome by the minute. Oh if you don't mind me asking who do you like?" Luz said with smile.

"As in general or as in Like Like?" Willow asked.

"The latter." Luz said.

"Well to be honest Luz I like everyone. If they like girls, I'll like it. If they like boys, I'll like it. Those in between, I like it. Those who were of one gender to another. Well you get the idea." Willow said.

"Well to use my human words I would put you as Pansexual." Luz said.

"Wouldn't Potsexual make more sense?" Willow said.

Luz chuckled for a bit only to see that Willow wasn't chuckling.

"Oh you were serious." Luz said.

"Anyway on to the… oh Titan Damnit Potion Class." Willow said as she groans.

Potion Class

Soon the both of them arrived at the Potions Class. Willow explained that this class was taught by Professor Selena Bloodworth.

She was a Witch with Avian Demon ancestry and she was wearing some clothes but what caught her was the Lab coat she had on. Since it resembles a professional grade lab coat from the human realm.

Selena was nice and a good teacher but then she saw her.

The Witchling has a slender figure with light skin, grayish-blue eyes, and mid-back length red-violet hair tied back in a bun. Like most witches on the Boiling Isles, she has pointy ears. She also has an extra third eye on her forehead.

She wears a dark gray tunic with a dark gray cowl. She wears dark gray, heeled boots with a light gray top. As part of the potions track, her sleeves and leggings are yellow.

She can now see why Willow hates her she had a classic popular bitch look on her. It would a suckers bet that she insults Willow.

"Huh I guess Half-a-Witch Willow managed to get a human for nerd friend." Bosha said as she mocked Willow.

Willow tightens her hand into a fist while Luz placed a hand on her shoulder which calmed her down.

"I'm just here showing Luz around and your Class was the next in line Boscha." Willow said.

"Whatever Half-a-Witch." Boscha said.

Willow's eyes started to glow only for Luz to grasp her shoulder once more.

"Willow its ok she isn't worth it." Luz said.

Willow takes a deep breath and thanks Selena for showing them their class.

Once they left the headed towards the next Class.

Which was the Abominations Class.

"Oh Titan damn it. This is not my day." Willow said.

"Don't worry Willow by the end of the day this will only be a thing of the past." Luz said reassuring her new friend.

"You're right Luz." Willow said with a small smile.

Willow takes a deep breath.

"Ok let's get this over with." Willow said.

Abominations Class

The two of them entered the room as Amity was just about to demonstrate her Abomination.

"Oh Miss Park you're late." Professor Hermonculus said.

Professor Hermonculus is a short, stubby humanoid creature with pointed ears, a round beak-like mouth, with two fangs on the top row of his teeth, and two claws on each foot. He has green, chin-length hair with a large bald spot on the top of his head. He has small slanted eyes, inward-facing green eyebrows, and a small green beard, along with defined cheekbones.

"Actually sir I'll be tested to change to the Plant Track in the afternoon. I thought Principal Bump had told you already." Willow said.

Hermonculus growled a bit.

"I see." Hermonculus said as he checked his scroll.

He then looks at Luz.

"Who is this?" Hermonculus said pointing at Luz.

"Luz Noceda Professor she's showing me around by Principal Bump's Orders." Luz said.

"I see very well and just in time too you're about to see our star student in action. Miss Blight if you will." Hermonculus said.

"Of course Professor, Abomination Rise!" Amity said as a Purple mud monster rose from her cauldron.

Luz whistles as she was impressed by her control.

"That's some impressive control. You got there." Luz said.

Amity had some pink dust her face.

"Thank you Human." Amity said.

"We should get going Luz." Willow said not wanting to be here.

"Oh sure Willow. Thank your time Professor Hermonculus." Luz said as the both of them left.

"Huh a polite one." Hermonculus said.

"Yeah…" Amity said as goes back to her seat where opens her scroll and looks at a picture.

Said picture was of Luz's graffiti.

With the girls

"Ok then, we're going to one more class for now since Lunch is coming up." Willow said.

"Which Class is that?" Luz asked.

"Oracle Class." Willow said.

"Huh neat maybe I'll get my future told." Luz said.

"Maybe, though I'd take with a grain of Dark Salt if I were you." Willow said.

"Isn't that the default stance with Oracles?" Luz said.

"Fair enough." Willow said as they entered the Classroom.

Oracle Class

When the both of them entered they found the classroom empty.

"Huh where is everyone?" Willow said.

"We sent them home early." A voice that sounded like two voices said.

The girls then saw the source of the Voices. It was a two headed bird demon with Black feathers on their heads. They wear dark navy blue robes, they hold a staff with a book on it and they also have eyepatch in one of their eyes while their blue eye weren't covered. The left head had an eyepatch on the left eye. While the right head had a patch on the right eye.

"Oh Mr. and Mr. Fateweaver." Willow said.

"We knew that you were coming here Luz." The left head said.

"We are here to tell you your future." The right head said.

"So that you may help the Isles in its hour of need." The two heads said at the same time.

"Whoa is that why you sent them home early?" Luz asked as the two heads nod.

"For our Oracle magic to work we must see your past." The left head said as it lifts the eyepatch to reveal a golden eye.

"In order to show your future." The right head asked.

"Do we have your permission?" Both heads said at the same time.

Luz nods.

"Alright, go on brother." The right head said.

The left head made a spell circle as his golden eye shines and in a monotone voice he spoke.

"I see a peaceful life, a loving mother, a proud father." The left head said.

"I knew that to be true." Luz said.

"I see a bright flash, the fall of both you and your father, your awakening and your father's passing." The left head said.

"That was the RFI and My Papi's death." Luz said in a sad tone.

Willow placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I see you controlling water, being bound to stone and lead away to your doom." The Left head said.

"That was the pool incident, Curdun Cay and the Convoy." Luz said.

"I see your Savior, an Owl and the end of a Tyrant." The Left head said.

"Delsin, Eda and the Fall of Augustine." Luz said.

"I see your prison reduced to rubble, a Heroes triumph and a reunion." The left head said.

"That was Curdun Cay's destruction, the presidential apology and coming back to Mami." Luz said.

Then the left head stood silent.

The right head placed the eyepatch to its original position.

Upon doing that the left head woke up.

"Ok with that done are you ready brother?" The Left head said.

"I am brother." The right head said.

Like with the left head the right one made a spell circle moved the eye patch to reveal a green eye.

He then spoke in the same monotone voice.

"I see you wearing our uniform with multiple colors on you selves and pants." The right head said.

"Huh that can't be real." Willow said as she shakes her head.

"I see a fight between you and a coven head's apprentice." The right head said.

"Whoa." Luz said.

"I see you and your mother coming to an understanding and the coming of a birth." The right head said.

"A birth?" Luz said worried about the future.

Oh don't get her wrong she wants kids but not as she is now.

Maybe in her late 20's or early 30's.

"I fight of good vs evil during the fear bringer's night." The right head said.

"A fight besides Grom?" Willow said getting scared.

"The hell's Grom?" Luz asked.

"I see the evil corrupting the usurper. The right head said.

"A Usurper in the Isles?" Willow said.

"I see a rebuilt Empire and within it the seconding coming of the Lighting Saint." The right head said.

"The Lighting Saint, does he mean Saint McGrath?" Luz said.

The right head went silent as the left side does the same.

"This all I see I am sorry we are old very old." The right head said.

"It's alright and thank you for telling me." Luz said.

"Here take this." The left said as she was given a book.

With that they left the class at the sound of the lunch scream.

Hallway

Luz and Willow walked out of the class and towards the cafeteria.

Chapter 4

Of Tours and Tests

It was now lunchtime in Hexside and Luz was eating with Willow and her friend Augustus Porter or as Luz called him Gus.

He seemed to like the nickname.

Gus is a young boy, noticeably shorter than Luz, Amity and Willow, with brown skin and dark brown hair with lighter shades. His upper lip is curved, similar to Luz's. Like all the witches and demons on the Boiling Isles, he has pointy ears. His eyes are dark blue.

He wears a gray tunic with a dark gray belt, cowl, and boots. As he is part of the illusion track, the color of his sleeves and leggings are a light blue.

After the initial excitement of meeting a real human Gus began to ask questions. Those questions including human having gills (no they did not have those) or using Braces to store food (Gross).

She made sure that Gus's questions were answered.

As Luz eats her Peanut Boil and Goreberry jelly sandwich (which turns out to be one of the few BI foods she can eat). She reads the Infamous book.

She was shocked at how much this Bright Person got right.

The Package, How Cole got his powers, the other two Conduits Cole fought, Trish's death and Kesler being a Cole from a bad future.

Unless she was from Empire City and survived both The Beast and the RFI there was no way she would have known that.

It was then Gus asked his next question.

"Hey Luz, are Conduits real? I've read about them but I along with the rest of the HAS (Human Appreciation Society) are skeptical about them since the only information we have is from the Infamous Books." Gus said.

"Ok that's fair Gus." Luz said as she looks around and seeing the room filled with Witchlings.

"I'll tell you but after lunch alright Gus." Luz said as Gus nods.

"Alright then let's eat and then you'll tell us." Willow said.

Soon everyone ate lunch and after leaving Luz then showed them her powers.

"Whoa!" Gus said as he sees the floating ball of water.

"Goodness… you're a Conduit aren't you Luz." Willow said as she realizes what Luz was.

Luz nodded.

"Yeah I am. Up until a few years ago Conduits weren't treated right." Luz said as she rubbed her arm.

She remembered the mobs from the first days.

Willow gave her a hug and told her that it was ok.

"Wow this is getting kind of heavy how about we head to class." Gus said.

"Oh right I was showing Luz the different classes of Hexside." Willow said.

"So it's true you're finally going to the Plant Track." Gus said happy for his friend.

"Yeah still can't believe it took me this long." Willow said.

Luz chuckled a bit.

"Thanks guys so which class is next?" Luz asked.

"It's Illusions. I can get you guys there since it's almost time for class anyway." Gus said.

At that moment the bell screamed.

"Lead the way Gus." Luz said.

Illusion Class

"Welcome to the Illusion Class where Showmanship is a must." Gus said as he made multiple copies of himself.

"Calm down Mr. Porter." A male voice said.

The Witch who spoke was as tall one probably a couple inches over Eda. If Luz was guessing. They wear a standard teachers robe. Their head was shaved, in place of hair was an intricate tattoo. Artistic depictions of cogs and gears that actually moved in a rhythmic sequence brought attention to any uninitiated passerby. They turn around and survey their students with keen lavender eyes.

"Wait, are those cogs moving?" Luz said.

"Indeed they are Miss Noceda." The professor said with a small smile.

"I am so getting a magic tattoo when I'm older." Luz said.

The professor chuckled.

"I am Professor Liraz and I am here to teach you about Illusions." Liraz said as they made a spell circle.

As they made the spell circle Luz noticed something in it. Luz quickly took a photo of it.

Sure enough it was a new Glyph.

The Glyph resembled an eye with an X on it. Like it was being crossed out.

"What tha… no way." Luz said as she takes out her notepad.

After finishing it she asked the professor.

"Ah Professor Liraz I think I found another Glyph." Luz said as she drew the Glyph.

Soon excitement buzzed in the air as the students stopped what they were doing and looked at Luz.

"May I ask where you found it?" Liraz asked.

"I found it in your Spell Circle Professor Liraz." Luz said.

"How odd perhaps the Titan is with you?" Liraz said with a chuckled.

"What does the Glyph do Luz?" Gus said.

"Are you going to use it Luz?" Willow said.

"Well there's only one way to find out?" Luz said as she used the Glyph.

There was a flash a light and instead of Luz it was a young man a man Luz knew well.

Professor Liraz made the illusion of a mirror and Luz saw it.

"The Hell I turned into Delsin." Luz said in Delsin's voice.

Luz now in Delsin's appearance consists of bright denim blue jeans, a red beanie, a denim vest, a white hoodie, and a red flannel shirt.

Soon the entire class (Gus included) was poking and prodding Luz.

The Professor was explaining how Luz did an advanced Illusion since it combines both optical and auditory illusions which are very difficult.

Soon enough Luz turned back to normal and thanked Professor Liraz for their time.

After saying good bye to Gus the two girls were on their way to the next class.

"So what Class are we going now?" Luz said.

"Hmmm… well-." Willow said before she was interrupted by Luz's groaning.

"Oh hell I must have eaten something bad?" Luz said as she clutches her stomach.

"It can't be the sandwich you ate or the Smilk that you drank." Willow said as she was thinking of what might have caused Luz's pain.

"Um Smilk?" Luz asked.

"Oh that's Spider Milk, why?" Willow asked.

"Fuck that would explain it. Willow I'm lactose intolerant meaning I can't have milk or cheese." Luz said.

Willow's eyes went wide.

"Oh crap um, ok bathroom first then Healing Class." Willow said as she picks up Luz and runs towards the bathroom.

"Um Healing class?" Luz asked.

"It doubles as the nurse's office." Willow said.

Healing Class

After a trip to the bathroom Luz and Willow entered the classroom where they saw a three eyed (of a purple color) The Witch with a head of teal wool and black ram horns on her head. She is wearing what looks like a nurse's outfit.

She saw how Luz looked.

"Oh dear, come here quickly!" The Witch said.

They did so.

"Now tell me young one what happened?" The Witch said.

"I'm Lactose Intolerant and I drank Spider Milk." Luz said.

The Witch's brow furrowed.

"Now young one if yo-." The Witch started to say until she saw Luz's ears.

Luz saw the Witch's reaction.

"Yeah I'm human I didn't know that Spider Milk counted or the fact that Spiders can make milk here." Luz said.

The Witch nods.

"Alright then just let me get some medicine and you'll be on your feet in no time. Oh where are my manners I'm Basil She/Her." The now named Basil said as she gives her pronouns.

"Luz Noceda, She/Her." Luz said as she does the same.

"Now then I don't have classes right now so I can treat you just let me do a scanning spell." Basil said.

She does so and let out a tiny gasp.

"Miss Park if you can leave the room for a few minutes." Basil asked.

Willow nodded.

Basil looked at Luz. Luz in turned nodded.

She took of her hoodie and shirt to reveal her scars.

"Oh good gracious. How old are they?" Basil asked referring to the scars.

"There 6 years old." Luz said.

"Titan above and below, do you feel and discomfort or pain?" Basil asked.

Luz said no and more medical related questions popped up. This ended with Basil giving Luz a Healer's note to a colleague of hers.

Luz thanked her and Basil tells her that they should head to the next class.

Luz nods.

Soon the two do as such.

Because the next class was Beastkeeping Class.

Beastkeeping Class

This time the two of them were outside where they see some stables and a group of students.

"Oh we just arrived at class." Willow said.

"Oh cool let's see what the fuss was about." Luz said.

Soon they see the professor.

Along with their teacher who looked like a Minotaur who was wearing clothes that looked something a farmer or rancher would use.

His black fur glistened on the light of the sun and orange eye scanned the class.

"Alright then class today will be learning about Demigryphs." The Minotaur said.

"Demigryphs, Professor Swifthoof?" A student asked.

"Yes the wilder cousin of the Gryphon. These guys are powerful and fast predators. Today is a special day because the Vice-head of the Beastkeeping Coven have donated a young one for today's class." Swifthoof said.

"Huh I bet Viney is weeping as she's missing this." One student said.

"Ha! That's what she gets for mixing magic." Another student said.

"Anyway I'll be releasing the beast. So be careful." Swifthoof said.

Soon Professor Swifthoof released the beast which looks like the gryphon she saw when she came to the Boiling Isles. Only with no wings and was a lot bigger and wilder.

Luz had a feeling that this was a bad idea.

And like magic the Demigryph broke free and rampaging the field. Charging at the students and… killed a student.

"Shit! Willow go get help! I'll handle birdbrain!" Luz ordered as Willow runs off.

Luz fired a Water Blast at the overgrown bird.

"Hey! You overgrown combo bucket meal! Over here!" Luz shouted leading the Demigryph away from another student.

The Demigryph charged at Luz only for her to dodge.

But the talons of the Demigryph hurt her causing Luz to bleed a bit but Luz and fire another shot.

This continued for a bit until she heard a voice calling out to her.

"Hey Human!" Luz turns to try and find the voice and she did.

The source of the voice has brown hair with four wefted bangs and a messy bun held together by a dark orange spiked hair tie. She has pointed ears, similar to the other witches of the Boiling Isles. She has green eyes with one lash on the top and one lash on the bottom.

She wears a similar cowl to other students. However, hers is patterned, ripped, and held together by a large thumbtack. She has a fishhook earring on one ear. She wears a gray tunic, and initially wore lighter gray sleeves and leggings while in the detention track. Her skirt is ripped on the side and tied together.

"Huh how are you?!" Luz started to say but was interrupted.

"Loud noises Demigryphs hate loud noises!" The Witch girl said.

Luz Mentally thanked her as she prepared a Bubble Bomb.

"Thanks young Witch girl." Luz said.

Luz tosses the bubble and when it popped it disorientated the Demigryph Luz charged in and killed the thing with her sword.

Upon seeing the creature dying Luz slumped down.

"God damn that was rough." Luz said as Principal Bump appeared.

Upon seeing Luz and her wound he called for a healer.

Sometime later

Basil had just finished patching Luz up while Bump had just called the parents of the young Witchling. When Bump demanded an explanation Swifthoof told him what had happened.

"ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY INSANE!" Bump shouted.

The reason for the shouting match was simple. Demigryphs are untamable monsters that either should be left alone or killed on site. Which means it's illegal to keep one in captivity.

Thankfully Bump told Swifthoof that he wouldn't be fired but he would have to pay for the Witchling funeral.

Swifthoof solemnly nodded as he dismissed the class.

Bump then turns to Luz.

"Ah Miss Noceda I truly apologize for this." Bump said.

"It's no problem Principal Bump I just wished that student didn't have to die." Luz said.

"I know I wish so as well. By the way how did you know that Demigryphs have sensitive hearing?" Bump asked.

"Oh a Witch in a portal told me about that." Luz said.

At that he asked about said Witch. Luz then told Bump what she saw and then she asked Bump to thank her.

"I see I know that I'll make sure to pass your thanks. Oh by the way if you happen to know an Edalyn Clawthorne could give her this." Bump said as he gives her a Blast Core.

Luz surprised by this she puts away the Blast Core.

"I'll do so Principal Bump. Can Willow and I continue with the Tour?" Luz asked.

This shocks Bump but soon shakes it off.

"Of course Miss Noceda." Miss Park if you could. Bump said.

"Yes Principal Bump." Willow said.

"So it's off to the next Class Willow?" Luz said wanting to forget about the students death.

Willow nods and went on their way.

Bump then turns to one of the janitors and tells them to send the Demigryph to the Owl House.

Hallway

"Hey Willow are you ok?" Luz asked.

"I'm fine Luz though I should be the one asking you that?" Willow said.

Luz looked at with a raised eyebrow.

"What do you mean Willow?" Luz asked.

"Luz from what Emperor Belos says the Human is a realm of peace and death doesn't happened often as in the Boiling Isles." Willow said.

"(Unless you're a Conduit)." Luz said.

"So how often do people die?" Luz asked.

"It happens often." Willow said in a tone that her mama would use if a decision was final.

"So what's the next class?" Luz asked.

"It's the Bard Class." Willow said.

Bard Class

This time the classroom is in an auditorium and various students playing instruments.

Luz was bopping to the beat while Willow smiles.

"Alright students we must make sure to do well." The Bard Professor said.

It was then that he noticed Willow and Luz.

"Ah! Welcome lovelies I'm Mx. Alastor and I welcome you to the Bard Class." The Now named Alastor said.

is a Witch with red hair, yellow eyes, he wears clothes like that of a conductor.

"Hello Professor Alastor. I'm Luz Noceda." Luz said.

"Ah yes I heard about you. So I have to ask? What instrument you play?" Alastor asked.

"Oh um I don't really play anything but I'm willing to learn." Luz said.

With a smile they soon allowed Luz to take a look.

As Luz looks and tries the instruments. Up until now none of them clicked.

Until she found a violin and for some reason it felt right.

Luz soon plays it and she does so well. After playing Luz heard applause.

She turns to see Willow and the students clapping and Mx. Alastor standing still.

"You if it weren't for the fact that Bump told me you were human I would have thought that you were the child of Edalyn Clawthrone and Raine Whispers." Alastor said.

Luz chuckled at that. Soon it was time to go to the Plant Track and Willow's test. She was about to give back the violin but Alastor told her to keep it as he has over ten thousand of those.

Soon they were off to the Plant Track and Willow's test.

Plant Class

When the both of arrived they or rather Willow was greeted by Professor Liefstrum as he took them to the greenhouse area.

Liefstrum was a Witch with green hair and eyes, cloven hoofs and two small wings. He was wearing gardener's clothes.

"Oh Miss Noceda how's the tour?" Liefstrum asked.

"Ah right I mean besides the Demigryph its going well." Luz said.

Now then since Willow is here you watch her go to the Plant Track and be happy again. Liefstrum said with a grin.

Willow looked nervous but Luz gave her a smile.

"You can do it Willow." Luz said.

Willow takes a deep breath and takes out the seed pod Luz had given her.

She closes her eye and upon opening them they were green.

Meanwhile with Amity and Boscha

The girls were chatting up as they talk about random things.

"I heard that the coven guards took down the wall painting. It was smart of you to take a picture and upload it to Penstagarm." Boscha said.

"Yeah I hope I can meet the artist." Amity said.

At that moment a mass of Briar vines appeared out of nowhere.

"The hell these things came from!" Boscha said.

Amity is thinking that as well.

With Willow and Luz

Briar vines were everywhere as Willow casted her spell. The results show themselves.

Heh heh oops. Willow said.

Liefstrum and the class were silent. Until Liefstrum broke it.

"I know that Bump usually does this but Welcome to the Plant Track Miss Park." Liefstrum said as he changes Willow's sleeves and pants from pink to green.

"That was awesome Willow. I knew you can do it." Luz said.

"Thank you Luz." Willow said.

Luz smiles at her new friend's success.

In her mind the image had changed.

The Purple Luz was now face to face with the golden Luz.

The former held on to her staff as if she was to attack while the latter had a loose grip on her sword while backing away.

Like last time a word kept repeating.

That word was.

Protester

"Thank you so much Luz. Say do you want my Scroll number?" Willow asked.

Luz nods and the both of them exchange numbers. Soon she says her good byes as she goes back to the Owl House.

As she leaves her Scroll rings.

It was Eda calling.

Luz answers the call.

"Hey Eda what's up?" Luz said.

"Kid get back here now! Your mom is here along with Vee." Eda said.

"On my way." Luz said.

The Owl House

When Luz gets back to the Owl House and sees her mama along with Masha and the head cheerleader Clara Feu with fire on her fingertips.

"Mama what happened?" Luz said.

"A lot Noceda and I mean a lot." Masha said.

Chapter 5

The Rise of Fire, Shadow, and Basilisks

Luz had just used her Blast Core and got her Water Thrusters back. She also got her Water Walk back.

She gets tea for everyone.

Including, Clara Amber Feu the Head cheerleader from Gravefield High.

She has short blonde hair in the shape of a widow's peak with a pink streak running across. She is also wearing red blouse some retro jeans that had holes in them and some flat tops. Her amber eyes scanned the Owl House as Luz gives her the tea.

"Thank you, Noceda." Clara said.

"No problem Clara. But I need to ask how did know about this place?" Luz asked.

Well your mom took us here. She believes that this place is bi-. I mean Conduit friendly. Clara said catching herself.

Luz nods knowing that she is kind of right. Mostly due to the fact that many people in the Boiling Isles believe that Conduits are make-believe.

"I didn't know you were a Conduit." Luz said genuinely surprised that Clara was a Conduit.

"It's somewhat of a recent thing." Clara said.

Tears soon came out of Clara eyes only to hiss as they landed on her hands.

Luz was worried and tried to heal her but Clara stops her.

"No stop! My powers, it makes water hurt me." Clara said.

"Oh Yeah that makes sense. Electricity does the same for me." Luz said.

On the background Eda was dragging the Demigryph corpse. King was laying on Masha's lap. Camila was attending to Vee.

Hooty brought a plate of cookies. He didn't even made peep as he slithered away.

Feeling a bit awkward Luz started the conversation.

"So when did your powers appear?" Luz asked.

"They appeared a few months back." Clara began.

Flashback

Clara's POV

"I was living a normal life with my family." Clara said.

We see Clara and her family. This consisted of a father, mother and an older brother.

"Then my hands went alight." Clara said.

We see Clara's hands were on fire.

"My brother Raphael had calmed me down and showed me his secret. He was a Conduit as well." Clara said.

Raphael shows her his power which consisted of quartz crystals.

"He helped me find my people. He also made me my Conduit jewel." Clara said as she wears her rose quartz and peridot earrings.

But then she frowns.

"But it didn't last. My parents found out and tried to send us to a CC camp. But we ran and Raphael called the cops. Thankfully Masha found us and hid us in her shadow." Clara said.

Masha hid the Feu siblings in her shadow.

Back at the Owl House

"What happened next?" Luz asked.

"After that Masha took us to her folks." Clara said.

It was then that Masha spoke up.

"I'll tell this next bit." Masha said.

Flashback

Masha's POV

"I found the Feu siblings running from their folks so I hid them in my shadow. After they explained everything I took them to my home." Masha said.

We see Masha and their parents discussing about the Feu siblings and soon they decide to help out.

"After a while they got on their feet and got better and left. Clara was still a popular girl. We became friends though in secret." Masha said.

We see Clara and Masha walking in a school hallway they would walk toward each other they smiled.

"Soon I met Vee and introduced her to Clara I thought she had lived under a rock since she didn't know about Conduits and the like." Masha said.

We see the girls hanging out. Smiling and laughing.

"Vee was odd but when we heard about her circumstances we assumed that would be it." Masha said.

Back at the Owl House

"The three of us became friends as we taught Vee about the world." Masha said with a grin.

"And by teach Masha really means is exposing me to the internet." Vee said.

"Oh crap… you didn't check my search history…right?" Luz said hoping that would be the case.

Vee gave a flat look on her face.

"You're into some weird stuff involving Azura and Hecate". Vee said as Luz blushed.

Vee shakes her head as she sat in between Masha and Clara.

"I'll tell the rest of the story alright. Anyway it was a few hours ago. Masha, Clara and I went to the galleria to find some stuff for me." Vee said

Flashback

A few hours ago

Vee, Masha and Clara were at the Gravesfield Galleria in hopes to find Vee more stuff.

"So you never heard of Conduits until you met Noceda?" Clara questioned.

"Yeah, Luz and Camila told me a lot about them. They even told me about the RFI." Vee nervously said.

Both Masha and Clara flinched at the mention of that device. But they shook it off.

"Well we should get some new clothes Victoria." Masha said with a smile.

"Sure Masha any place you two recommend?" Vee asked.

The Conduits chuckled at Vee.

"(Fuck she's adorable)." Masha thought.

"(Ok, she's cute. Hold up do I like girls)?" Clara thought.

As they decide where to go next. Clara couldn't help but feel that something or someone is watching them.

At clothes store

The three are at a store where Vee is trying multiple clothes.

The two humans and the Basilisk were trying on some clothes. Vee was in the changing room while Masha and Clara talked.

"So Vee's cute. I'm I right?" Clara asked.

"Oh yeah that's given. I would totally date her… though aren't you straight?" Masha said.

"I think I might like girls or both?" Clara said.

"Huh didn't expect that. Although I'm not surprised at all." Masha said.

Yeah they aren't the most tolerant people and not just to Conduits. Clara said.

Masha cringed at that.

"Yikes glad you and your bro got out of there." Masha said as Clara nods.

"Yup." Clara said with a smile.

"Ok I'm ready." Vee said.

The both of them turn to see Vee and their jaws drop.

We see Vee wearing an orange turtle neck blouse, navy blue jeans and brown sneakers with white soles.

"Um how do I look?" Vee asked.

Whoa Vee you look good. Clara said.

"(Aaaaaahhhhhh! Oh god she's hot)!" Clara thought as she has a panic on her sexuality.

Masha on the other hand smiled at Vee and winked.

This made Vee Blush.

"(Ok that's it I'm asking her out)." Masha thought.

"Um I'm glad you like it." Vee said.

"Then consider it as a gift Vee. Since I'm buying it for you." Masha said.

"Are you sure Masha?" Vee said.

"You're my friend Victoria of course I'll do it for you." Masha said with smile.

This made Vee's blush glowed brighter.

Clara smiled a bit. She knew about Vee and her past whoever this Belos guy was she would kill him. Either way she needed to help Vee.

After Masha paid for the clothes they looked at more stores this time it was a bookstore.

Galleria Bookstore

The three of them were looking at books as Masha had their face in a history book and Clara in fashion magazine. Vee was looking around as she noticed a book. She had read human realm books. Luz recommended Good Witch Azura… but she realized that it reminded Vee too much of the Boiling Isles and Cosmic Frontier didn't interest her like it did Camila.

Then she saw a new novel. It was called Hallmark's Peak.

As she read the summery she knew that it was a Steampunk story. A branch of Sci-fi she learned about. Not quite fantasy or Sci-fi but a nice mix. Camila had given her some money for the trip. So she buys it.

After doing so she read the book and she enjoyed it.

Masha noticed Vee's purchase.

"Hallmark's Peak? I thought you didn't like Sci-fi?" Masha chimed.

"I'm not interested in Cosmic Frontier but something about this called to me." Vee said.

"Sure Vee. We're about to leave the mall." Masha said.

Vee smiled.

Then they heard the gunshots.

"Shit!" Masha cursed.

"Masha what's going on!" Vee shouted.

"Hey are you two alright!" Clara shouted.

"We're fine but who's firing?" Masha asked.

"As a Conduit you should know who." Clara said.

"Oh goddess damn it! Fucking Remnant bastards!" Masha shouted.

Victoria knew about The Remnants. Luz and Camila had told her about them. They are the remains of Bertrand's Militia and the DUP's the both of them joined forces for a singular goal. The total annihilation of the Conduit race.

"Oh no what do we do?!" Vee said in a worried tone.

TAKE THIS YOU REMNANT BASTARDS! A random man shouted as he fired a shot of stone.

"Well that worked." Masha said as she absorbed some shadows.

"Ugh fine! Hey you got anything to burn!" Clara exclaimed.

The bookstore owner nodded as he gave Clara some notebooks.

This will do. Clara said as she took out a lighter and burned the notebooks.

Once the fire started and grew to a decent size and absorbs it.

"Ok I'm charged up and you." Clara said.

"I'm topped off as well." Masha said.

"Good lets go." Clara said disappearing in a plume of flames.

Masha nods as they hid in the shadows.

Vee hid as she followed them.

With Clara and Masha

Clara and Masha were on the third floor as the both of them saw the Remnant Troops.

Masha took a look and they saw several rocket launchers.

"Goddess damn it. These guys are packing a lot of heat." Masha said.

I know and I can't help but to blame myself. Clara said.

"Why?" Masha said confused at Clara's words.

Clara pointed at two people Clara's parents.

"Oh… damn. Hey I don't blame you for this." Masha said.

Clara took a deep breath as fire shrouded her hands.

"On my count we strike." Clara said.

Masha's hands are shrouded in shadow.

"1… 2… 3!" Clara exclaimed as they fired their powers.

The Remnant soldiers looked up but were too late. As they were taken down.

"What the hell?" A Remnant solder said as he looked at the downed soldiers when he looked up.

"Oh shit, BIOTERRORISTS!" The Remnant soldier shouted.

They fired their weapons at them. Clara and Masha dodged the hail of bullets.

Clara's parents glared at their daughter as they were led away by an unarmed Remnant soldier.

The two friends fought hard to combat the terrorist's solders. Fire and Shadow flew as the soldiers fire their guns.

Several of them utilized their RPGs on the Conduits.

"Get down Clara!" Masha shouted as the both of them ducked.

"Take this asshole!" Clara shouted as she throws a fireball.

Upon impact it explodes taking down soldiers.

Though this didn't kill them but rather trap them in chains of fire.

"Alright I'm going in!" Masha said as she goes into their shadow.

Clara nodded.

The Remnant solders noticed that Conduits stop firing.

Soon one soldier was taken down when Masha came out of the soldier's shadow and takes him down.

They dived into another shadow. As they took down another soldier. Clara launched more fire bombs at the troops.

Soon other Conduits joined the fight.

Some of them had solid powers like ice and metal to fight off the soldiers. Others had more esoteric powers like wires and cotton made it easier to capture the soldiers.

Meanwhile with Vee

Vee was disguised as a soldier. Seeing the battle and how Conduits fight. She had seen Luz's power. She knew how strong they are. But as the human saying goes "seeing is believing".

She also knew that racism sucks. Be it Human to Human, Human to Conduit and even Conduit to Conduit if you can believe it.

But soon she can hear the battle ending.

She soon finds Clara's donors.

"Hey you two we need to get out of here." Vee said.

"Thank it's nice to see someone help us." Clara's male donor said.

"Indeed. Damn Bioterrorist scum." Clara's female donor said.

Both Donors didn't know but Vee had a tire iron in her as she knocked out the donors.

Sometime later

Soon the Remnant troops were defeated. Thanks to a combination of mall security and the local Conduits. Soon the police came and arrested the soldiers and Clara donors.

"Well that happened." Masha said.

"Yeah didn't expect my folks being here." Clara said.

"Yeah you got that right." Vee said as she walked towards them.

"VEE!" Masha and Clara said as the both of them hugged.

The three of them laughed.

Present day

Owl House

"After that Clara's brother and Masha's parents told us to stay with me and Miss Noceda for the summer and well I ran out of magic." Vee said.

"Heh jokes on her I'm into that." Masha said.

Vee blushed on that.

"Well I'm willing to get to know her." Clara said.

Luz's inner shipper squealed.

"Well I'm I hope you don't mind being here." Luz said.

"So… how was your Luz?"Masha asked.

"Well… it started with Eda and King mining Trash Slugs." Luz said as she recounts her day at Hexside.

As Luz talks about her day Vee, Masha and Clara snuggled together as they listened to Luz.

Despite what happened today they pulled through.

Chapter 6

The Covention

It was another morning in bonesborough where Luz, Eda and King were waiting at Eda’s stand for some customers to buy Human junk. Luz was reading Good Witch Azura to King and decided on a whim to make voice overs.

Eda is getting annoyed at the lack of customers and Luz’s voiceovers.

Then Luz noticed the former as well.

“Um Eda you noticed that there aren’t any customers.” Luz said now seeing the empty streets.

Eda at first was confused… but then remembered the date.

“Oh fuck I forgot today’s is the worst event in the isles.” Eda said.

At the moment Willow and Gus rushed towards Luz.

“Luz today’s the day of the greatest event in the isles.” Willow said with a grin.

The young Conduit snorted at that.

“So what’s today? I’m kinda of new to the isles.” Luz said.

“Oh right. Today is the Covention. Where we can get a peak of the Covens.” Willow said.

Luz’s face became serious.

“Eda we should go.” Luz said.

“Indeed Luz I’ll pack up the then meet you at the event later. King go with her. Eda said as Luz nods and King tagging along.

As Luz leaves Eda frowns at the sight and mention of the Covention. If this was the old Eda she would stay away.

But that Eda is gone. After Seattle she decided to take a more active role.

Especially after joining the BATT’s. Raine leading them was just a bonus.

And now with Luz here their firepower rose up.

Now that she’s packed. She’ll make that Luz get support.

“Lets do this.” Eda said.

With Luz

Luz was surprised at the Covention from what it looked like.

It looked like a job fair for Witches.

Though she knew the truth about the Sigils she didn’t want to ruin it for Willow and Gus.

“So Willow, Gus how was Hexside after my visit?” Luz asked.

“Well… PCA forced Principal Bump fired Swifthoof.” Willow said.

“PCA?” Luz asked.

“The Parent Creature Association. The one leading the charge was the Ren of the kid who was the killed by the Demigryph. The Emperor’s Coven threatened to cut funding if they didn’t fire Swifthoof.” Gus said.

“And he did.” Luz said.

Luz felt bad for Swifthoof but it needed to be done.

After all he got a kid got killed on his watch.

“Yeah it was. But it’s not all bad the vice head of the Beast Keeping Coven was punished for his reckless ness.” Willow said.

“Hey no more sadness let’s enjoy the free stuff from the Covens.” King said as he appears with a bunch of stuff.

“Hey Reycito did you remember to get tote bags to put your stuff in.” Luz said.

King was about speak but then remembered about them.

“Luz can you help me.” King said as Luz chuckles.

Luz helps King put his stuff away in the bags.

After finishing with the bags King rushed to get more stuff.

Luz shakes her head as explored the place not before hearing a familiar voice.

“I HAWE THA POWAH!” Tinella Nosa said as she rampages the Covention.

Luz blinks at this.

“The hell… what happened here?” Luz said.

“Well damn looks like someone gave her Power Glyph. Let the Construction Coven handle it. Willow said.

“You sure?” Luz asked.

Willow nodded as someone managed to remove the Power Glyph from Tinella.

Luz sighed in relief.

“God damn that was close.” Luz said.

That’s when a puff of blue smoke appeared where a copy of Luz appeared right in front of her.

“God damn that was close.” A copy of Luz said.

Then a member of the Illusion Coven member appeared and explained the wonders of the of the Illusion Coven. But Luz only pretends to listen she was getting some DUP vibes from these guys.

Then she sees Willow and Gus get super excited for some plague doctor rejects.

“Look Gus it the Emperor’s Coven.” Willow said excited to see them.

“Think they’ll sign my forehead.” Gus said pointing to his forehead.

At that this wasn’t ringing any alarm bells on her head but rather air raid sirens these guys were radiating cult and DUP vibes.

She felt a hand on her shoulder. Luz turns to see Eda.

“I know that look. Alarm bells.” Eda said.

“Air raid sirens, Eda this is serious.” Luz said.

“I know kiddo but hey you might as well get to know your enemy.” Eda said.

“I will Eda let’s go.” Luz said as the both of them entered the auditorium.

The quartet took their seats. Soon the lights dim.

On the auditorium stage, Principal Bump appeared in a spiral of green magic, the crowd applauding as he summoned a microphone with bat wings.

“Hello Bonesborough!” Principal Bump announced. “Students ask me all the time: ‘Principal Bump, what’s the height of magical achievement?’”

“Is it this?” A student in construction brown spun a spell circle that made his head grow until his neck couldn’t hold it up, falling over onto the student next to him.

“Hope their alright?” Luz said.

“Wow. I’ve failed you as a principal. The true height is to be selected to join the best of the best. And there are none better or more prestigious than the crown jewel of the coven system, and enforcers of his will, the Emperor’s Coven!”

Luz raised an eyebrow as three coven members appeared.

“Huh didn’t think I’d facing magic DUP troops.” Luz said.

Eda snorts at that.

“Nah DUP troops are slightly more competent then these guys.” Eda said dismiss them.

“Feast your eyes on this elite force, each member hand-picked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic.” Bump continued, while the Scouts demonstrated their elemental magic by combining fire, water, and lightning to create a fireworks display of confetti.

Luz had a flat look at her face. Clearly unimpressed.

“These mooks are just… sanctioned Wild Witches.” Luz said.

“Yup.” Eda said as she popped the P.

They heard from Bump about how the EC could use all forms of magic. Ignoring Bump for a moment as she looked at a familiar faux verdant hair girl.

“Huh Amity’s here.” Luz whispered to herself.

Eda noticed the small blush on Luz’s face and cracked a grin.

Then it was then that Bump introduced someone that Luz knew of but never met.

Eda’s sister Lilith Clawthorne.

Lilith Clawthorne is a tall, slender, middle-aged woman in her mid-to-late 40s. She has ivory skin, pointed ears, black lipstick, and mint green eyes. She also has dark claw-like nails. In her debut, Lilith has long straight hair which she dyed a dark-navy color.

She wears a long-sleeved two-tone dark gray dress and dark gray laced boots. She also had an inverted kite-shaped sky-blue gem located on her sternum, which was attached to her dress.

Soon Lilith began humble bragging about how she came from humble beginnings. Even though she’s only here because of Eda.

From what she told her there was only one spot left and Eda decides to give up her chance.

It was also around that time was when Eda’s Owl Beast curse began.

Eda decides to leave not wanting to be here anymore. She didn’t blame her.

The event ended. Willow and Gus were excited.

Especially the after a guard signed his forehead.

Soon Luz heard a squeak. Luz rushed towards King and she found both him and Amity with the latter’s foot covered in what look like cupcake.

“Hey King you ok?” Luz asked.

“No! She destroyed my cupcake, destroy her my Conduit.” King said as he pointed at Amity.

Luz chuckled.

“Hey you ok?” Amity said.

Amity looks up.

“Oh you’re Willow’s friend.” Amity said.

“Yeah, I’m Luz Noceda.” Luz said as she introduced herself.

“Amity Blight. I’m sorry about stepping your cupcake little one I can buy you a better one.” Amity said.

King took a moment to think. Then King nodded.

“Make a baker’s dozen and I’ll forgive you.” King said.

Amity nodded and after buying the cupcakes. She left for her teacher.

Soon Eda appeared with a look of worry and regret.

Luz looked at her.

“Eda what did you do.” Luz said.

Eda gives an awkward grin as she recounted what happened.

Flashback

Eda was looking to leave the Covention not wanting to get sucked into this shit but unfortunately she bumped into Lilith.

“Oh Edalyn! I neve-.” Lilith said.

“Save it Lily I’m only here for my apprentice Luz.” Eda said.

Lilith face darken.

“Eda I didn’t know you had one.” Lilith said.

“I well I do. Like hell I’m joining your Mook squad sister.” Eda said.

Lilith took a deep breath.

“I know. Something changed while you were in the Human Realm years ago.” Lilith said.

Eda looks soften.

“It did. There was something similar to the EC and people that put in end to it.” Eda said.

She smiled as she remembers Delsin’s tags, Fetch’s snarky attitude, Eugene’s smarts, Reggie’s annoyed face and Luz’s hope for a better tomorrow.

She then looks at Lilith.

“Look Lily can’t we just pretend to enjoy this event in peace. You can chase me and get your ass kicked by Tomorrow alright.” Eda said.

Lilith thought about and then she spoke.

“Alright I will… but only after our apprentices fight.” Lilith said.

Eda growled but the sighed.

“Fine but no oaths.” Eda said.

“I’ll accept that sister.” Lilith said.

Both sisters shake hands.

“In 30 minutes at the arena.” Lilith said as she walked away.

After Lilith walked away. Eda went wide eyed as she realized what she had done.

“Ah farts.” Eda said.

End Flashback

Luz facedpalmed.

“Ugh to think that the Faithweavers are right.” Luz said.

Eda raised an eyebrow at the mention of the old Hexside Oracle Teacher.

“Well whatever the case I’ll help you kick your opponent’s ass. So you’ll need this.” Eda said as she takes out a sake gourd.

“A sake gourd?” Luz said as she takes it.

“Just to let you know it’s not filled with liquid courage. But rather over 2000 liters water.” Eda said with a grin.

“Holy shit.” Luz said.

“You always complained about running out of ammo back in Seattle.” Eda said knowing how often Luz would run out of water for her powers.

“Yeah that sucked ass when it happened.” Luz said.

The both of them giggled.

Meanwhile with Lilith

“Miss Lilith are you sure that this is necessary I don’t need to prove that I’m better.” Amity said.

“Oh don’t worry this is just a spar between apprentices nothing more.” Lilith said.

“The Owl Lady didn’t allow you to make an oath didn’t she.” Amity said.

Lilith sighs.

“Yeah that happened. But any who I know you’ll win.” Lilith said as she pats Amity’s back.

Unknown to Amity this would the first step in finding a part she never knew needed.

30 minutes later

Luz and Eda were waiting for Lilith’s apprentice Luz pated her new water gourd ready to do this soon Lilith arrives with her apprentice which was revealed to Amity.

“Amity?!” Luz said surprised to see her.

“Luz! You’re the Owl Lady’s Apprentice?!” Amity said.

“I am she’s a family friend I’ve met when I was a kid.” Luz said as Amity nods.

She then noticed Luz’s ears.

“You’re a Human, But how?” Amity said.

“I’ll tell someday but now let’s do this.” Luz said as she uncorks the gourd as she tops off on water.

Amity nods as she conjures up some Abomination Goo.

Soon Lilith starts the duel and both girls charge at each other.

Luz with water and Amity with goo.

Luz fired a Water Blast at Amity surprising both Amity and Lilith.

“Eda what the in the Titan was!” Lilith shouted.

Rather then responding to Eda asked a question.

“Have you ever of the Infamous books?” Eda asked as Amity with an Abomination Goo Fist.

Lilith raised an eyebrow at this as Luz Mist Dashes away.

“I have but what does this have to do with this?” Lilith says as Luz blasts Amity with a Water Blast.

“That is simple. You see during my time in the Human Realm I something that I thought was nothing more but a fantasy.” Eda said.

Lilith looked at her sister for moment before her eyes going wide.

“Eda are you saying that… Your apprentice is a Conduit.” Lilith said as Luz uses her water to make a Light Glyph blinding Amity when she used it.

“That’s right sis I’ve met Luz in a human city called Seattle where a rebellion was happening. I joined the rebels side and we won. The Tyrant’s gone and the rebels won.” Eda said.

“I see I assume that would explain on your more proactive role.” Lilith said.

Eda nods.

“It is.” Eda said.

Then both sisters felt someone tap their shoulders.

They turn to see the head of the Wicca Coven, Salem.

“So the duel had begun and I see Lilith cheated.” Salem said.

“Say what?!” Eda said.

Salem pointed at Amity’s neck where Eda spotted a Power Glyph.

“Eda I-.” Lilith started to say but Eda interrupted her.

“Do you not trust your apprentice?” Eda said as she glared at Lilith.

Lilith stayed silent.

“You two prepare yourselves for your duel while I stop them.” Salem said.

Soon Salem called upon her Palisman a chimera.

“Alright let’s stop this.” Salem said jumping down.

With Lumity

Both girls were breathing heavily. They fought hard and neither wanted to give up.

“I got to say Amity you’re pretty good.” Luz said with smile and a small blush.

“You too, I didn’t expect to find out that Conduits are real.” Amity said with a smile of her own.

Both Luz and Amity were charging their attacks but just as they were about to do so. A voice stopped them.

“THIS DUEL IS OVER!” Salem shouted.

Thunderbolts separated the both of them. Luz epped as she backed up knowing that it would kill her.

Amity backed up as well.

Salem landed between them.

“Lady Salem?” Amity said as Salem walked up to her as she removes the Power Glyph from the back of Amity’s neck.

Luz’s eyes went wide.

Amity started to panic.

I-i didn’t know.” Amity said.

“Your mother knows. She blames Lilith and not you.” Salem said.

Though Neither one of them believed it.

“Miss Noceda please take Amity out of here ok.” Salem said as Luz nods.

As the girls leave. Salem turns towards the Clawthorne sisters Specifically Lilith.

“You two know what to do. Salem said.

The sisters now calling their Palismans they descend to the Arena.

When they reached the Arena both sisters charged at one another magic surging as they struck.

With Luz and Amity

Luz was comforting Amity as she cried.

“Why? Why didn’t she trust me.” Amity said.

“Hey it’s ok Amity.” Luz said pats Amity’s back.

“How?! I was supposed to be the great apprentice of Lilith Clawthorne the head of the Emperor’s Coven to eventually becoming the next head.” Amity said covering her face with her hands.

Luz said nothing as she comforts Amity.

Once the tears stops a thought crossed her mind.

“Hey… how did you do that light spell. I know you’re Human and apparently a Conduit. Just how?” Amity asked.

Luz smiled as she drew the Light Glyph and activate it.

Amity looked shocked at seeing this.

“How? Where did you?” Amity said.

“I found it in the stars. But it’s not the only one I got.” Luz said using the Illusion Glyph transforms into Camila.

“Wow.” Amity said as she transforms back into true form.

“I know that you’re mean because of your parents but I want you know that I’ll be there for you as a friend.” Luz said extents her hand.

Amity takes the hand.

As Luz picks Amity up the both of them blushed.

After that awkward moment. Luz looked at the wall then an idea struck.

“Say Amity you want to stick it to Lilith.” Luz said as she holds up a spray paint can.

Amity gasped.

“You’re the one who made that mural.” Amity said.

Then Amity’s face turned into a smile.

“Let’s do this.” Amity said.

Luz hands Amity a spray paint can.

After explaining on how to use the spray paint can the both of them got to work After a bit they finish.

The end result was nice.

The new art consisted of Lilith covered head to toe with an orange goop. On one side Eda, King, Delsin, and Fetch laughed their asses off. On the other side Luz and Amity were trying but failing to not laugh. It was revealed that Lilith was standing on a giant pie tray with a small Light Glyph. The orange goop was in fact pumpkin pie. Finally above everyone were the words.

Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater!

Soon the girls laughed. At their creation. Amity took a photo on her Scroll.

“Oh taking a photo of our creation.” Luz said.

“Well the Coven Guards took down the last one.” Amity said.

Luz frowned a bit.

“I managed to save it and post it on Penstagram.” Amity said.

Luz smiled at this.

Soon they hear an explosion.

“Welp I think that’s my cue to get out of here. I’ll see you sometime ok. Luz said as she Mist Dashes out of there.

Amity smiles she hopes she can keep this friend.

Sometime later

Luz laid in her bed exhausted. Soon however she would close her eyes.

Her dreams were filled with mint haired beauties.

Chapter 7

Lost in Language

It was a new day in the Boiling Isles when Luz woke up. Rising from her bed. As she gets dressed she remembers the last few days.

After the Convention she still helped Eda with her stand when Willow told her about the Moonlight Conjuring. Mostly about Boscha told her that no half-a-witches allowed.

Luz along with Gus and Willow decided to host one of their own.

This backfired spectacularly due to Luz not knowing the moonlight spell. Due to this they somehow took control of Hooty.

Willow wanted to rub it on Amity’s face. But one glare from Luz put a stop to it.

Though they did had a run in with some demon hunters, saved Eda from a rival potion maker and finding another Blast Core and getting her Waterfall Drop back.

After Luz got dressed she went downstairs to see King watching the Crystal Ball all while eating some Booberry pie.

“Morning Reycito. Did Eda ask for another sample.” Luz said.

“Yup she got weird after the first time.” King said.

“Huh yeah I noticed. Any way where’s Eda?” Luz asked.

“In the kitchen Luz.” Eda said serving breakfast.

Soon as everyone ate and chatted. Just then the door knocked.

Luz answers the door revealing a large demon.

The demon is very large whose body consists of a large, pale, somewhat vampiric fanged head with bat-like wings and legs connected to it. She has a pointed chin, long, somewhat unkempt dark hair ending in a widow’s peak, small pointed brows, dark purple lips, and hot pink eyes with off-white sclerae. Her wings are purple, with claw-like spurs atop them. She possesses talons with four dark purple claws, one of which opposes the others.

“Um… hi?” Luz said.

“Hello young one Yi Yi is I. Where is Eda?” The now named Yi Yi said.

“I’m here Yi Yi what do you need?” Eda asked.

Yi Yi presented Eda with a basket. Inside of the basket was a smaller version of Yi Yi.

“Take care of my baby and you’ll be rewarded.” Yi Yi said as she leaves.

Eda grinned like an idiot.

Luz on the saw right through her.

“She’s rich isn’t she.” Luz said.

Ignoring Luz she grabbed a bunch of books and gave them to Luz.

“Hey Luz could you take these books to the library.” Eda said as she pushed Luz out of the Owl House.

“You don’t want Luz to get a part of the loot.” King said.

“I know but I’ll leave her a small part. After all The Bat Queen is the richest demon in the Isles.” Eda said.

At that moment Yi Yi’s baby started crying.

Outside of the Owl House, Luz heard the cries and bolted to Bonesborough.

Sometime later in Bonesborough

Luz was walking around in Bonesborough looking for the library.

“Damn I should have asked Eda where the library is.” Luz said regretting not getting the directions to the library.

Then she felt someone tapping her shoulder. Luz turns to see Salem.

“The library is over there.” Salem said.

“Oh thank you miss Salem.” Luz said.

“Its not a problem miss Noceda. Though you’re lucky because the Wailing Star is coming tonight.” Salem said.

“The Wailing Star?” Luz said.

“You’ll see.” Salem said with a smile.

With the directions in hand she went to the library.

Once Luz was out of sight. Salem’s scroll rang.

“Yes… so the Neon is ready… how is the Warrens and the Historical district… ahead of schedule good…” Salem said.

Bonesborough Library

Upon entering the library Luz sees that it was busy, probably due to the Wailing Star. As she places the books on table the worker takes one look at them and groans.

“Late, late, late. Oh for Titan’s sakes. Grass, coffee and bloodstains. These are Eda’s aren’t they.” The library worker said.

Luz nodded.

“Meh I’ll just add it to Eda’s tab. By the way we’re closing early due to the Wailing Star. If you want to know about it. Well you’re in a library after all.” The library worker said.

Luz did so as she takes a look at the library. She found that the dewy decimal system was alive and tried to eat her. Some of the books were alive and attacked her. Lastly she tried to look up the Wailing Star on the Crystal Ball computer… and it was slow as hell just like the ones back on Earth.

“The more things change the more things stays the same.” Luz said.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!”

Luz jumped at the voice. She turns to see a familiar Witch.

“Amity?” Luz said.

She followed the sound of Amity’s voice only to find her reading to a bunch of little kids. After a bit story time ended and the kids went on their way.

Luz walked towards her.

“Hey Amity.” Luz said spooking the Witch.

“Oh um… Luz right?” Amity said.

“Yeah so is this extra credit or is it part of the job.” Luz said.

“Ok I like my job. I want to know what you’re doing here?” Amity asked.

“Not much just returning some of Eda’s late books. Along with trying to find out about the Wailing Star.” Luz said.

Amity was about to speak until she heard a pair of voices. Amity groaned.

“Oh Mittens.” The voices said.

“Titan above and below.” Amity said as she sees her siblings.

Emira and Edric Blight.

As they are twins, Emira has a similar appearance to that of her brother, Edric. She has pale skin, pointed ears, golden eyes, thin black eyebrows, Her face shape is also rounded off to a point.

She wears a long-sleeved dark gray shirt under a burgundy tunic a belt around the waist, gray shorts with burgundy cuffs, and some black shoes.

Edric has a similar appearance to that of his sister, Emira, as they are twins. He has pale skin, pointed ears, golden eyes, thin black eyebrows, short, emerald-green.

He wears a dark gray long-sleeved tunic tucked in his gray pants, a sleeveless burgundy shirt with a belt around the waist, and gray boots with burgundy cuffs.

The both of them were wearing pink pendants.

“Emira, Edric. What do you two want?” Amity asked.

The twins presented Amity with a bag.

“Mom told you to stop forgetting your lunch Mittens.” Emira said.

Amity took the bag and twins noticed Luz.

“Oh who’s this cutie?” Emira asked.

Luz would have blushed if her alarm bells weren’t ringing right now.

“I’m Luz Noceda. I was just returning some books.” Luz said.

“Oh that’s lame.” Emira said.

“Well if you need us we’ll be hanging around here.” Edric said as both he and Emira went on their way.

Luz turns to Amity.

“Their jerks aren’t they.” Luz said.

Amity sighs as she rubs her temples.

“Don’t blame them. Rather you should blame my Egg donor. She makes the twins jealous because she gives all of her attention to me and due to this they prank people and bully me.” Amity said.

“Damn, I’m guessing the twins don’t know that.” Luz said.

Amity looked away. Rubbing her arm.

“It probably didn’t help that I rated them out when they skipped school.” Amity said with a blush.

“Yeah that probably didn’t help matters.” Luz said.

The both of them chuckled. But then they heard a crash.

It looks like the twins were wrecking the place… and it was getting out of hand. Especially after a worker went insane after the twins switched the fiction sign with the Non fiction sign.

She waited until the twins were at the same spot. Then she launched a Bubble Bomb trapping them.

“Hey!” Emira said unable to move.

“What gives!” Edric said.

“I see you two are making things difficult for Amity… again.” A Large Demon appeared.

Amity’s eyes went wide.

“Master Malphas.” Amity said.

Malphas is a large, humanoid, bird-like demon who towers over both Luz and Amity in size. He has bluish-gray skin, a hunched back, and a bird-like face with glowing yellow eyes. He also has two tassels hanging off his beak and a pair of large, gray wings he can use to cloak himself. He appears to have two small horns on his head. He is primarily seen riding on top of a large book with the word “Staff” on its binding. He wears a black cloak with a purple top, along with a pair of reading half-moon glasses. His hands have four clawed digits.

He, like a majority of the library staff, has a gold medallion with a symbol of a book. When his appearance is obscured by his wings, he gives the appearance of having one eye.

He looked at the wet prisons of the twin.

Malphas looks at Luz and then saw some wet books.

“Young miss can you absorb the water from the books?” Malphas asked.

Luz nodded as she does so.

“Thank you young lady. Now then while I take these two out, Amity could you help with the clean up.” Malphas said as he escorted the twins out.

“Need some help?” Luz said.

Amity nodded as Luz helped her. As they fixed the twins mess they decided to talk.

“So do you have some favorite books.” Luz asked.

“I do. It’s dumb but I like The Good Witch Azura Series.” Amity said.

Luz’s eyes went wide and gave a big smile.

“You like Azura too.” Luz excitingly said.

“Yes I’ve read all four books multiple times.” Amity said with a smile.

“Oh then I’m pretty you’d want to read the fifth book.” Luz said.

“Yes! Um I mean yes I’d like too.” Amity said with a blush.

Then as the both of them tried to pick up a book. Their hands touched making them blush.

The silence was a bit awkward before Amity spoke again.

“Come to the library later tonight Luz. Oh and bring the fifth book ” Amity said.

Luz blush became a bit brighter.

“Um thanks Amity I’llseeyoutonight!” Luz said as she leaves.

Amity smiled until she realized what she had just said.

“Oh Titan why the hell did I say that!” Amity said her face reminiscent of a tomato.

Sometime later

Luz returned to the Owl House where it was a wreck turns out raising a little demon baby was harder then they thought.

“Damn you two alright?” Luz said.

Eda and King gave Luz a flat look.

“Ok fair enough. Eda I’m gonna go to the library later tonight.” Luz said.

Eda grinned.

“Well Luz you’re in for a treat.” Eda said.

After getting the fifth Azura book. Luz heads for the door to leave.

Then the demon baby coughed up two more babies and then all three of them started breathing fire.

“Nope!” Luz said as she leaves.

“Well that should have been expected.” Eda said as she tries to put out the fires.

On the way to Bonesborough Library

Luz arrived at the library where she and Amity would read the fifth Azura book. Maybe they’ll cuddle up-.

Luz shook her head as she looks up and sees a star racing across the sky.

“So that’s the Wailing Star.” Luz said.

As she was nearing the library entrance the hairs on the back of Luz’s head stood up.

She puts away the book and snuck toward one of the library’s window. Upon seeing what’s inside Luz was shocked.

Luz’s POV

It was impossible but I saw them.

The Reapers.

Those assholes went extinct after Cole went through with them especially after he took down Sasha.

Then I noticed an open book and I saw a Reaper coming out of it.

It didn’t take me long to put it together. The Wailing Star brought them to life.

The plan was simple go in close the book and save Amity.

I hope she’s okay.

Normal POV

“Ok let’s get in.” Luz said as she got away from the window.

She looked around until she found a storm drain.

“Perfect.” Luz said as she used the Pipe Dash.

Upon the reaching the roof Luz entered the library through the Skylight.

Upon landing however she was dragged into a false wall in the romance section.

Luz turns to strike down the people who dragged her only to find Emira and Edric. Along with an injured and bleeding Amity.

Luz looked at twins with a serious expression.

“What Happened.” Luz said.

“We were going to expose Amity’s diary to the school.” Edric said.

“Then we noticed how everything book related came to life. So we messed around for a bit.” Emira said.

“Then Amity saw with her diary and tried to take it back but then we pushed her and it knocked down the first Infamous book.” Edric said.

“Which led the Reapers coming here… and hurting Amity.” Luz said angrily as water swirled around her fist.

“Can you heal her I know Conduits can heal.” Emira said.

“Yeah the Reaper guys used their weird staffs to hurt her.” Edric said.

“Yes I can heal it but I’ll need to see the wound.” Luz said.

Emira nods as she shows Amity’s wound.

Thankfully it looks like it went through the body in one piece.

Seeing this Luz channeled some water and healed her.

She never wanted to see orange blood again if she could help it.

Amity opened her as she sees Luz.

“Luz. You healed me. Thank you.” Amity said.

“Easy Blight you lost some blood.” Luz said.

“Along with Bile. You need some rest.” Emira said.

“I’ll stop them. Just stay here alright.” Luz said.

“Close the book.” Amity said as she falls asleep.

“The book?...” Luz said.

“Yeah if you can close the Infamous book everything will go away.” Edric said.

“Good. I’m off.” Luz said as she heads out.

“Be careful Luz.” Emira said.

As Luz leaves she takes a look at Amity.

“(Stay safe, Amity).” Luz thought.

Luz looked around and some Reapers patrolling the area.

Luz stays out of sight as she got near the book.

Then out of the blue she heard a crackling sound.

Then a thunderbolt struck a Reaper.

Luz was surprised about this, considering there hasn’t been a Lightning Conduit since… ok she felt like an idiot.

The person who zapped the Reaper was Cole MacGrath.

Cole wears a leather jacket and pants with a stripe on the right leg, forming a small union jack design on his knee, and a sling bag with his phone attached to the single strap. This sling bag has a Sly Cooper logo and the numbers one and 3 designed onto it. He has a shaved head with a light stubble beard and speaks in a gravelly voice. Cole shows a high form of intelligence and is able to logically deduce the outcomes of any actions he might take. He retains most his appearance, though he looks cleaner and neater. The electricity that comes out of his body is light blue, due to his good nature.

Luz would have fangirled but right now the Reapers needed to be taken care of.

“Hey kid you should get out of here.” Cole said.

Luz conjured a ball of water.

“I’m not defenseless kid.” Luz said as she showed that she was a Conduit.

“Damn… you’re not gonna try to kill me?” Cole asked.

“No, just need your help to clear out the Reapers.” Luz said as Cole nods.

“Alright kid let’s do this.” Cole said.

Cole and Luz snuck around until they found the open Infamous book.

“So you have a plan?” Cole asked.

“It’s a simple one I launch a Water Bomb and you zap the resulting puddles.” Luz said.

“Sounds simple enough kid.” Luz said.

Soon Luz conjured a Water Bomb. After a mental countdown to 0 she launched the bomb paralyzed the Reapers and Cole shocked them.

The Reapers saw this and fired at the Conduits. The two Conduits jumped off the bookshelves blasting the Reapers.

Lightning and Water flashed across the library. Bullets fired at them. Luz was shot but she shrugged it off.

Cole launch a few Shock Grenades at them with a few of them sticking to the Reapers. This resulted in a few Reapers blown up.

Soon Luz had reached the book and with one quick motion closed the book.

Thanks to this the Reapers and Cole disappeared.

Luz let’s out a breath she didn’t know she was holding.

“Gracias a Dios.” Luz said as she slumped on the floor.

After a few minutes Luz calms down. She then starts chuckling.

“Holy shit I fought with Saint Macgrath.” Luz said Delsin and the others would never believe me.

She then stops laughing as calls out for Amity and the Twins.

“Luz are you alright?” Amity weakly asked As she is supported by Emira.

“Yeah I’m ok and you?” Luz said.

“Groggy, but ok.” Amity said with a smile.

Luz stands up and gives Amity the fifth Azura book.

Luz smiles at Amity.

“I expect it back but take your time with it.” Luz said.

Emira takes the book and tells Luz that she’ll give the book to Amity.

The three of them fixed the library. Amity wasn’t allowed due to her wounds.

After a while the library was fixed, the sun had risen and the Blights went home.

All in all. Everything went well.

Oh Luz also got a part of the Loot from the babysitting gig while Eda and King got Empty Nest Syndrome.

But that’s a story for another day.

Meanwhile with Salem

Salem was standing in front of a machine where a portal glowed a gold and black pattern.

Soon a Witch exited from the portal.

“Did you get them?” Salem asked.

The Witch presented her with a pen drive.

Salem takes pen drive and hooks it up to her laptop.

After accessing the files she smiles.

“It would our expedition was successful. Good work out there.” Salem said.

The three files she was seeing was of three devices.

Which were the following.

The Amp.

The RFI.

And finally…

The Ray Sphere.
