    Rhune flexed his hands first, then slowly sat up, rolling his shoulders forward and backward to stretch. The entire time, he affixed Gale with a positively hungry stare, the pure, undiluted want in his eyes and his expression more than enough to knock the breath from Gale’s lungs.

    The stale, underground air around them seemed charged with a force far more potent than electricity as they looked at each other for a tense, heart-pounding moment. Weave spare him, if Gale didn’t move now, it felt like Rhune would simply pounce on him right here, out in the open.

    And, in all honesty, Gale would most certainly let him.
