          Infection of the skin around the nail, causes it to get really red and swollen; at least from what I've seen.

          Uhhhh a nasty hand infection that even though it’s only visible on your fingertip, your entire arm hurts so bad you can’t sleep so you’ll need surgery to remove the hand + squeeze out the blood from the infected area to get rid of the germs. I got the surgery yesterday so it hurts less now
