Chapter Text
Standing in utter shock and fear, you stumble back into the wall. You still kept your gaze on the door, watching it closely as if the patient inside was getting ready to bust out.
Next, to the door, a gold-colored (you highly doubted it was real gold) nameplate looked cleaner than the room itself. You read it and froze.
'Nononono. Please no.' You slid down onto the floor, remembering that name. You had studied his file a little bit yesterday and hoped you wouldn't have to take care of him for most of your time here. After all, you never really wanted to come here in the first place.
Room 15
Fugo Pannacotta
You sat there on the floor contemplating about this kid. You remembered studying his file instead of looking at Giorno's, a blunder from your first day.
Name: Fugo Pannacotta
A ge: 16
Birthday: Feb 5th
Birthplace: Venice, Italy
Diagnosis: Fugo has serious Perfectionism for any and all things. He requires that he be in the cleanest areas at all times especially while eating. If this can not be acquired Fugo will go into a violent rage. Fugo also has Narcissistic personality disorder in which he constantly demands attention from peers and nurses. Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment from other people. This contradicts with the fact that he is sometimes anti-social. He has a great need for continual admiration from others, that should be put before all else.
*Fugo has a tendency of masturbating when feeling upset. This is due to the sexual abuse he received when he was younger.
Notes: The last two nurses he had molested him. The last doctor he had attempted to kidnap him.
*He will be very rude to new at first.
*Fugo likes to teach people how to become a better person. So let him teach something to put him in a good mood.
*Do Not mention family, doctors, or why he room may smell bad. He is fully aware of the smell.
Fugo's file had intrigued on a fascinatingly gross level. He had problems and it was your job to help him through them. Although...it was all so real for you. The worse you've ever dealt with is someone with depression or social anxiety, but this? You would be lying if you thought even for a moment that it would be easy.
Koichi sat down next to you on the floor, his harsh expression long gone, it was now replaced with an expression twice as gentle as usual.
"Y/N. Y/N please look at me." Koichi turned to look at you, with a pleading look in his eyes, "I needed you to see. I needed you to understand that this place isn't- I mean- it's not a-..." He stopped trying to explain after stumbling too much on his words. On the other side of the door, you could hear Fugo shuffle about his room.
"I-I have to go home now." You spoke to break the silence.
"Y-yeah. You should..."
Your second day has ended
Your Third day has started
Dec 5th, 2019
Coming back to the hospital today, you were very anxious to see Koichi again. After he had shown you one example of this Hospital's worse your view on this place changed dramatically. When you had walked into the building earlier, the lime/honeydew smell was no longer apparent. Instead, it was replaced with the strong scent of lavender. So strong you sneezed a few times, followed by one or two coughs. It was as if the main office was trying to disguise another, stronger scent.
Since Giorno already took his shower and medication, you left him in the study hall to read while you could explore the building a little bit. Of course, Lisa Lisa was more than happy to vouch for you. As long as you weren't gone for longer than 20 minutes. So here you are now, standing in front of Fugo's door wondering if what you saw last night was real. You peeked through the small door window to see an impeccably spotless room. Ceiling to floor it shone beautifully in the mourning rays that spilled through one large window. All you could see was a small bed with a black sheet and a small little bookshelf that could have been no bigger than your leg. Fugo was nowhere to be seen though. As you walked back to the main entrance, you passed five other rooms on each side of the hall including Fugo's. With closer inspection, you come to notice that this specific hall must be unisex since boys and girls shared this hall. There was Dio Brando, Jonathan Joestar, William Zeppeli, Fugo Panacotta, and Mariah on the right side, her nameplate was dirtier than the rest. Her whole last name was partially uneligible. Looking over to the right side, the names were embedded in silver nameplates, they read; Joshu Higashikata, Akira Otoishi, Toshikazu Hazamada, Lucy Steel, and...Yoshikage Kira.
'Huh. Two Kiras?' You inspected the nameplate closely. "Strange" You went on your way to explore the rest of the hospital. All the while, whistling a soft tune. You feel at peace. But the presence of deranged teens and adults leave an unpleasant feeling. Not to mention the depressed moans coming from William's room. So you scurry away to the cafeteria, on a quest to find a healthy snack.
When you arrived, the feeling of peace flees. The feeling that maybe you were going to be alright. You were really working in an asylum? Yes you were. It's pristine serving a small comforter to counter the anxious patients around you. You snuck down the platform and to the staff table in the kitchen. You wound up with drool forming in your mouth, fantasies of stuffing your face with delicious food clouding your mind. There were cupcakes, bagels, millions of granola bars, assorted fruit, fresh vegetables, and even large ham sandwiches. You filled your plate with fruit and two cream cheese bagels. Once you had your food you made your way to Study Hall, with a small cup of chocolate pudding in hand.

Once you got there, you popped a strawberry into your mouth. Savoring its vibrant flavor. You spotted Giorno on a lounge chair, looking blankly at the ceiling.
"Hey Giorno! What are you doing?" You ask him, taking a seat next to him.
"The ceiling is covered with the art of patients here." He pointed to a cartoonish drawing of a mermaid being drenched in blood. Her face was a distorted blurred mess of pink and blue. Giorno brought your attention to a much smaller artwork. "See that one? That's my favorite." Giorno's eyes gazed a small drawing of a green octopus creature giving tiny green gems to happy-faced children in gold dresses. "Kakyoin made that one," Giorno said happily.
"Is Kakyoin your friend?" You ask him.
"No. I don't really know him. His room is upstairs and neither of us is allowed up or down." Giorno leaned up in his chair.
"Then how do know him?"
"He used to be in the room next to mine." He turns to you and his eyes fall downward. "What's that?" He asks, pointing to your hand. You grin, unveiling slowly.
"I got it for you. A little bird told me you liked chocolate pudding." You handed the pudding to him, to which he gladly accepted. He peeled the seal off and took a deep breath of its rich scent. You had just noticed that Giorno was wearing your sweater
"Thank you. Thank you." Giorno smiled wide, showing his pearly white teeth. The moment you handed him the spoon he began gobbling it down. Smearing a little bit on his lips. Koichi then walked into the room leading a man with dark curly hair to the chess table. The patient staggered slowly, following Koichi with wide eyes and a slightly open jaw. You and Giorno stared curiously. You had never seen Koichi care for an older man before, and he also brought him breakfast?
What a reliable guy!
"That's William! he's been here for a long time now." Giorno walked over to Koichi, earning a wide grin from William. Giorno bounced out of his chair, leaving his empty cup of pudding behind and embraced him in a hug, the man snuggling his face into the crook of Giorno's neck. You walked up to Koichi and gave a soft smile. He smiled back, combing his silver hair with his fingers.
"Those two are pretty close y'know." Koichi said. "With William's condition, I'm surprised he's being so affectionate." Koichi handed you a slip of paper from his folder. "Take a look."
Name: Will Anthonio Zeppeli
Age: 50
Birthday: January 19th
Birthplace: Venice, Italy
Diagnosis: Has a mild to severe case of Psychosis. Will often has trouble differentiating reality from his dreams and make-believe thoughts. Was recently diagnosed with Intermittent explosive disorder. It is important to take into account that William has Asperger Syndrome. As for why he's here, William at the age of 15 was instituted into a mental hospital for being linked to several cases of aggravated assault and two cases of manslaughter. He re-entered special care when his psychosis became an issue. While on medication, for a time Will is harmless.
*William takes behavioral sessions every day
*William seems to befriend the younger patients and as of thus far caused no harm to them, but has had several incidents with older patients.
*Will has been in yellow rank before
*William has a strong obsession with pepper
"How long have you been taking care of him?" You asked Koichi.
"About two years now." Koichi pulled a half-eaten granola bar of his pocket and the two of you finished breakfast while gazing upon William and Giorno's intense game of rock-paper-scissors. Koichi's belt then began to ring. He pulled out his walkie-talkie which had a beeping red light. "Oh dear, not this again..." Koichi put William's document back into his satchel. "C'mon William it's time to go." Koichi motioned William to follow him but WIll stayed firm in his chair and turned his head away.
"No. I want to stay longer. I didn't get to see Giorno yesterday or the day before that so I'm staying right here!" William huffed angerly. He looked at you with a trying gaze as if he were trying to silence you before you even spoke. Don't even say a word that's what his expression was saying. Koichi just shook his head turned on his heel to leave.
"Will, please we need to go now. Joesph's having another one of his tantrums and I can't leave you here."
William just ignored Koichi's words and folded his arms. His childish actions finally starting to get a reaction out of Giorno. Giorno scooted away from Will, looking quite uncomfortable.
"Will, I have to go to my piano lesson now. I can't stay." Giorno calmly explained, motioning towards you for support. You nodded, taking Giorno's hand and leading out the door. Looking back to Will, you caught the glimpse of a single tear fall down his face.
