Brother (On Hold - Temporarily)

Summary:

Izuku Midoriya, the name of a brave, selfless, and kind Hero in training. No one could have expected his past had been anything but ordinary. Except, as it turns out, his beginnings were anything but normal or natural. How does one react, when they find out secret about themselves that could change everything they though they knew?

Notes:

In my AU, All Might was smarter and told Izuku about AFO immediately, warning him that it while highly unlikely, it was possible that the Villain survived. Izuku still took One For All and he can also talk to the previous users of the Quirk in his mind. This story takes place after the Sports Festival.

WARNING: Panic attack at the end of the chapter!

Chapter 1: A Strange Beginning

Chapter Text

Izuku stared into the mirror, a scared expression on his face as he took in his appearance.

He had been standing there for several minutes, trying to process what was going on. His normally green hair was fairly normal, except his roots pure white. The day had started normally until he had gotten out of the shower and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror.

'W-What's going on?' Izuku asked himself, worrying about the potential issues that might be causing him to lose hair pigment.

'I don't know, Izuku.' A voice spoke mentally in his head. It was the First user of One For All, Izuku hadn't told All Might he could communicate with the former users. It hadn't really seemed necessary at the time.

'Maybe, stress induced white hair comes from my dads side of the family?' Izuku suggested weakly, trying to figure out a way to hide the change.' I don't know much about my dad, only that he works overseas. We don't have any pictures of him in the house and mom doesn't like answering questions I have about him.'

'Hmm, I honestly can't tell you what's going on.' Yoichi commented.' Perhaps you should mention this to All Might, he might be able to figure out a solution or solve the reason behind this oddity.'

Izuku walked out of the bathroom, getting dressed and placing a baseball hat on his head to hid the roots of his hair. It wasn't a permanent solution, but it would have to do for now. He had to get to UA before class started, or Aizawa would kill him.

"I am leaving Mom!" Izuku called as he exited the house, smiling when he heard his mom respond with her own goodbye.

During the train ride to UA, Izuku couldn't get the sudden color change out of his mind. It felt like he was missing something some kind of puzzle piece and he just didn't know what.

As he came to the entrance of UA he paused, noting the reporters standing outside. They were likely here for news on All Might, but they shouldn't be crowding the entrance. If they continued he wouldn't be able to get through, thankfully UA seemed to notice the issue if the sudden screech of Present Mic's Quirk was anything to go by.

After letting the ringing in his ears dissipate, Izuku entered the school grounds. However as soon as he passed the threshold, alarms began blaring loudly and he froze. Did he trigger the trespassing alarm, but they knew who he was. What was going on?

Present Mic who had already been heading back to to the building turned to face him.

Izuku's confusion must have been noted by the Hero, if they worried expression on Present Mic's face was anything to got by. The Hero jogged over to Izuku, likely to ask him if he knew why the alarm was tripped.

This day was getting weirder and weirder, Izuku didn't know how much of this he could take or whether it would stop.

"Hey Little Listener, you know why you tripped the alarm?" Present Mic asked curiously and Izuku shook his head, though fear was beginning to curl inside him.

"Um, no sir." Izuku responded giving the Hero a nervous look." It's not the first strange thing that's happened today though, this morning something happened too."

Present Mic frowned, before turning as Aizawa and All Might approached. The two clearly having come to see what the commotion was about, as soon as All Might spotted Izuku he waved to him.

"Young Midoriya, were you the one to trigger the alarm?" All Might asked, and Izuku could do nothing except nod in response.

"Odd, the entrance is coded to each students DNA signature." Aizawa commented with a frown." Did you get hit with a Quirk last night on your way home, or perhaps on the way here?"

Izuku shook his head, he was positive nothing like that had happened.

"No, Aizawa-sensei." Izuku replied giving the teacher a scared look." This is the second thing that's happened today that I can't explain. In fact I had been intending to talk to All Might about the first thing, but now this happened...I don't know what's going on."

The words left a tense silence in the air, until All Might sighed and turned to Aizawa with a look Izuku couldn't identify.

"Perhaps it would be best to talk with Recovery Girl." All Might suggested." If something is affecting your DNA, then it's important that it be identified and neutralized if it ends up being dangerous."

"All right, All Might." Izuku agreed, hoping that Recovery Girl could help find out what his issue was. However he still had to show All Might his hair change, so he took off his hat to reveal his roots.

"Is this the other thing that happened today, young Midoriya?" All Might asked gently and Izuku nodded in confirmation.

"Yes, my roots were white this morning." Izuku admitted, before frowning when all three teachers gave each other glances.

"Half your hair is white, Izuku." Aizawa stated and Izuku's eyes widened. He grabbed a strand of hair and pulled it down in front of his eyes. He could barely make out the fact that his hair now looked as if it was white dipped with green dye.

"H-How?" Izuku stammer out loud." Hair doesn't do this, not this quickly and not like this."

"I think we should get the Little Listener to Recovery Girl, right now." Present Mic said seriously, something the voice Hero rarely did.

All four of them hurried into UA, making their way towards the medical wing of the school in a rush. They were all worried, this kind of situation was normal.

When they arrived they walked in to see Recovery Girl had just finished treating a student.

"We got an unusual situation for you today, Recovery Girl." Aizawa stated before nodding towards Izuku." He's not injured, but his hair his changing colors and he set off the alarms while entering UA grounds. The alarms that are DNA coded to each student."

Recovery Girl frowned in concern, before walking up to Izuku and practically dragging him over to some machinery. Preceding to scan him, what for exactly was unknown to Izuku.

Eventually the tests stopped, but the look on Recovery Girl's face showed that the news wasn't good at all. Izuku held his breath, thankful when First sent waves of calm energy towards him through One For All.

"Midoriya's true DNA has been locked away for a long time, apparently with the amount of stress recently it has unlocked itself." Recovery Girl informed with a sigh." Whoever wanted to hide Midoriya's true DNA did a good job, but now it's all coming undone."

"Why would someone hide a kid's DNA signature to the point of changing their appearance and lying to them about it?" Aizawa asked with a concerned frown.

"That's just it...I put the new signature through the data base, it only came back with one result and your not going to like it." Recovery Girl said, rubbing her hand down her face in resignation.

Izuku had a bad feeling whatever Recovery Girl was about to say would mean a big change for him, it was a feeling he didn't know he had. He had never felt that way before, but as the moments passed it only got stronger.

"What's the result?" All Might asked and Recovery Girl handed him a piece of paper, which the number one Hero began to read.

Izuku watched as his mentor's face paled drastically, wondering what kind of news was on that piece of paper. Clearly Aizawa and Present Mic thought the same, because they began reading over All Might's shoulder.

"W-What is it?" Izuku asked, his voice feeling small and vulnerable. First had been oddly silent in his head for a while now, which made him uneasy.

"You Izuku Midoriya are genetically identical to the Villain known as All For One." Recovery Girl stated and Izuku felt his whole world shift on it's axis.

He stumbled in shock, hoping this was a joke or something else. However the looks on his teacher, mentors, and Recovery Girls face told him otherwise.

"H-How is t-that possible?" Izuku asked, his voice high pitched, close to hysterics." I'm not a Villain, I am Izuku Midoriya! I like All Might and Heroes...I dislike bullies and Endeavor...my hobbies are studying Quirks and collecting merch. I am not a Villain!"

The last sentence was shouted out, as if yelling would change the results of a DNA test.

Izuku began to feel his vision darken at the edges, his breathing growing erratic as he tried to get enough oxygen to his brain. He slid to floor, hands shaking and tears falling down his cheeks. He wasn't a Villain, he helped people...saved them. None of this was true right? It couldn't be true!

"Young Midoriya, breath for me." All Might's voice cut through the fog that threatened to take Izuku. He looked up towards his mentor, expecting hatred and anger. However he only saw concern, which confused Izuku.

"I...I'm sorry." Izuku stammered out, before his eyes rolled back into his head and he fell unconscious, slumping to the ground.

Chapter 2: Acceptance

Chapter Text

Izuku found himself in the familiar void that the One For All users called home, the small platform in the void was surrounded by seven thrones. Each throne had a person sitting on it, six men and one woman.

The first throne was white, the second was red, the third blue, fourth was lime green, fifth was burnt orange, sixth was pale blue, and seventh was pink.

"Ah, your here..." Yoichi said his voice wispy and seemed to echo endlessly." We were expecting you, especially after that panic attack."

Izuku didn't respond, he just stared at his hands like they were suddenly foreign to him. In a way they were, he had spent his entire life thinking he was normal. Now he had just found out he was genetically identical to a mass murdering Supervillain that was hell bent on world domination, how was one suppose to feel after learning that?

"Kid, you with us?" Banjo asked gently, snapping Izuku's attention to the seven former users who were looking at him with varying degrees of concern.

"S-Sorry, Daigorou-san!" Izuku apologized with a wince." I was just...caught in my own thoughts, I didn't mean to bother you."

"How many times do we gotta say it, little otter?" Hikage asked with a frown." You aren't a bother to any of us."

Izuku gave the Fourth user a grateful smile, but it felt weak. Did they know his test results, or was this meeting about something else? Regardless, he could barely look at them, not when he knew who he shared genetic material with.

"Izu-kun, everything will be alright." Yoichi reassured gently." I am sure whatever is happening can be explained, but you can't panic. It won't solve anything."

Swallowing, Izuku hesitated before nodding to the First user. He knew the First user preferred his numbers, but right now he just needed a more personal connection to the group.

"I'm scared, Yoichi-san." Izuku whispered, tears escaping his eyes and running down his cheeks." I don't know what's happening."

Yoichi stood up and walked over, pulling him into a tight hug. Izuku returned the hug, clinging tightly to the man like a lifeline.

"You aren't alone, you never are anymore." Yoichi murmured softly." We will be here with you, no matter what happens. I promise."

Like a dam had broken, Izuku began sobbing into the First users shoulder. Letting out all the pent up fear, anger, and confusion.

"Shh, it alright." Yoichi murmured softly, rubbing Izuku's back softly." Let it out, everything will be ok, no matter what we find out."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Izuku woke up he felt infinitely better, yet the nagging worry in his mind still itched as if something bad might happen. No one was in the medical bay, but Izuku spotted a mirror on his bedside. Clearly placed there so he could see the differences in his appearance, which has likely changed once more.
Picking the mirror up he looked into it, revealing what little green he had left was now completely replaced by pure snow white. However that wasn't the only change to his appearance, his forest green eyes were now a blood red.
The only relief he had was that his personality hadn't changed, but that left other Questions unanswered. If Izuku didn't have the negative personality traits of All For One, then that meant the two hundred plus year old Supervillain had been shaped not by his genes, but by his surroundings.
What happened to the Supervillain to lead him down the path he chose, he shook his head from those thoughts. That was a rabbit hole he didn't need to go down, if it became necessary to know later he could always research. For now however he should let Recovery Girl know he was awake.
He spotted the buttons beside the bed, the red one was for emergencies...the green one was to let Recovery Girl know that he needed non-urgent attention. Izuku pressed the green one hesitantly, hoping All Might didn't blame him for looking like his enemy.
Five minutes later, Recovery Girl and All Might walked in. Aizawa and Present Mic weren't with them, likely off teaching classes.
"Midoriya, my boy, are you feeling ok?" All Might asked in soft concern, relieving Izuku of some of his worries.
"Yeah, I am feeling better..." Izuku responded with a small smile." I think the unintentional sleep I had helped."
Recovery Girl walked over and gave him a quick scan with a device, before looking over the results carefully.
"Looks like the process has completed." Recovery Girl stated." I will inform Nedzu to add your new biosignature to the entrance."
Izuku's eyes widened, fear clawing inside him in realization. If his signature was entered as being a non-threat...then that meant All For One himself could enter the school property without repercussions.
"You can't do that!" Izuku shouted, his face twisted into panic. Recovery Girl paused with the phone in her hand, a confused expression on her face.
"Why not, young Midoriya?" All Might asked with a worried look." We need too or you will trip the alarm every time you enter."
Izuku shook his head, he had to tell them why he thought it was a bad idea.
"Because if my signature is identical to All For One's...and we don't know if he is actually dead, then we risk giving him free access to UA!" Izuku explained, hoping the two would understand his concerns.
Recovery Girl and All Might gave each other glances, a look of worry beginning to form on their faces as well.
"I will look into other options." Recovery Girl stated eventually." Perhaps we can give you a key card to enter like guests have."
This calmed him down slightly, still worried though. Objects could be stolen, but at least it wouldn't be as easy to enter UA. Izuku nodded in acceptance to the suggestion, relief must have shown on his face.
"Well at least it shows that your appearance hasn't changed your personality." All Might stated looking fond." Your still the same selfless boy I decided to make my successor."
"You don't care that I look like your worst enemy?" Izuku whispered softly, and All Might's eyes widened in surprise.
"Of course not, my boy." All Might responded firmly." I don't care that you look a little different, but if it really upsets you that much...you can wear contacts and hair dye."
Izuku bit his lip in thought, it seemed like unnecessary hassle to just use dye and contacts every day. If All Might didn't care about his looks, then neither should he. As long as he knew he wasn't anything like All For One, then that's all that matter to Izuku.
"No, this is how I look now...I know I'm not that man." Izuku admitted with determination." As long as I remember that, then there is no reason to hate my appearance."
All Might and Recovery Girl smiled fondly at him, causing Izuku to blush slightly.
"In that case, you seem to be in top health." Recovery Girl stated with a nod of satisfaction, before handing Izuku a card." This is a special guest key card, wear it until we can get a custom one for you. Your free to go, the days almost over I'm afraid...but the last class of the day is hasn't started just yet, so your free to go join them."
Izuku nodded and slid out of the medical bed, saying his goodbyes to his mentor and Recovery Girl. He walked out of the medical wing and towards Aizawa's classroom, since Homeroom was always the last class of the day.
When he arrived at the door, he hesitated for a moment. Then with all the courage he could muster he pushed the door open, walking in.
Aizawa glanced over towards him, half the class had already arrived for the last class of the day. The teacher gave Izuku a once over, before nodding for him to go sit down at his usual spot just behind Kacchan.
"What the hell happened to you, nerd?" Kacchan asked look at Izuku in confusion, his attitude slightly off due to the surprise of his frenemy having an appearance change.
"I...uh, got hit with a Quirk on the way to school today." Izuku lied." I fainted due to shock and spent today in the medical wing, for some reason the change hasn't worn off yet. It's possible that it just might never wear off."
Kacchan frowned, but otherwise didn't react. It made sense, as far as his classmates knew...All For One didn't exist. After all the Supervillain was a heavily guarded secret, one the general public didn't know about.
"I think you look cool, Deku-kun!" Ochaco said with a kind smile, making Izuku smile softly at his friends support.
"Thanks Uraraka-chan!" Izuku replied happily." It might take some getting used to, but I didn't feel like dying my hair and wearing contacts all the time. So I just accepted the change, it wasn't like it affected my personality or anything."
The class seemed to accept it, before turning to pay attention to Aizawa once the last few class members entered the room and sat down.
Chapter 3: Internships
Chapter Text
"Alright, now you are all gonna have offers for internships." Aizawa began, it had been about two days since Izuku's hair had changed." For those of you who didn't get offers, UA will be hooking you up with a internship. So don't worry about not getting anything."
Izuku paid attention as half the class were handed a piece of paper with the names of people who wanted them, to his surprise he had quite a lot of offers.
He looked over them, when one caught his eye. Nighteye agency, hadn't All Might said that he had a falling out with Sir Nighteye? Izuku knew it was risky, it was likely that the former sidekick of All Might wanted to use Izuku to get into contact with All Might again. However, the potential benefits outweighed the negatives.
He quickly signed the paper, before walking up to Aizawa's desk and handing it to his tired teacher. Aizawa took it looked it over, making a surprised expression.
"Odd, the Nighteye agency doesn't normally take Interns...they mostly work with second and third years for Work Studies." Aizawa commented and Izuku nodded, he had known this.
"I know, sensei." Izuku commented." Sir Nighteye likely wants to reconnect with All Might and is using this as an opportunity, that being said...it would be foolish to turn down an offer from such a important Hero."
Aizawa gave Izuku a look, before sighing and nodding. His teacher signed the paper as well, giving permission for the internship to precede.
"Just be aware that this isn't set in stone, if you feel uncomfortable at any point during your internship you can be placed in the UA provided one." Aizawa said handing the paper back to Izuku.
"Understood, sensei!" Izuku chirped cheerfully." Also I was wondering...I want to go into Underground Heroics, I talked with All Might after the Festival...I didn't like the attention I got. Could you give me a few tips?"
Aizawa blinked in surprise at the question, it was a response Izuku was familiar with considering he had already told his friends what he was planning to do.
"Of course, perhaps we can have a meeting after classes and I will give you a run down of how things differ in Underground Heroics." Aizawa offered and Izuku beamed.
"Thanks sensei!" Izuku replied, before checking his All Might watch." I gotta go, I need to meet with All Might before heading home, thanks for the information, sir."
With that Izuku turned to leave the classroom, heading towards the gate of UA where he was meeting with All Might. The two often headed to Izuku's home together after school, since All Might liked to give regular updates to his mom. He had suspicion that All Might was crushing on his mom, but oddly enough it wasn't a negative feel at all.
The idea of All Might being with his mom was a pleasant one, the number one Hero was already like his dad. His real dad was overseas and wasn't married to his mom anymore, but the two were still friends. They had just decided they were better as friends then a married couple, it was one of the things Izuku respected his dad for.
"Hey! Yagi-san!!" Izuku called out as he approached the deflated form of his mentor, a wide grin on his face. All Might waved back, with a smile of his own.
"How are you, young Midoriya?" All Might asked once they began walking to the train station." I heard you accepted an interesting internship."
Izuku blinked, how did he know? He had literally just decided before coming out here to meet All Might.
"How?" Izuku asked, confusion coating is tone. All Might laughed and pulled out his phone, waving it in front of Izuku.
"Shouta told me." All Might replied with a wink, before a sigh escaped." I am concerned about the reason behind Mirai's offer, but I won't stop you from going. It's an amazing opportunity, just let me know if you want to leave at any time."
Izuku nodded and the two fell into a comfortable silence for the rest of the walk, occasionally chatting about Quirks and other things.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izuku stood in front of a very professional building, his nerves at an all time high. Not just because of his internship that would be starting in mere minutes, but also due to the fact Yoichi or First had been so quiet lately. He was almost scared to attempt to retreat into the void, but if his predecessor didn't speak soon...then he would.

He walked up to the build, and into the main lobby. Taking in the busy and professional atmosphere, it was a little jarring. Izuku was currently in his costume, his mask was around his neck and not covering his face at that moment.

Before Izuku could ask someone about where to find Nighteye, he spotted the familiar green haired man walking towards him. Nighteye's hair had gold streaks running through it, as well as gold eyes. He wore a suit with an All Might tie, something Izuku liked. He should think about getting something like that for his collection, however that could wait.

"I am assuming you are, Izuku Midoriya?" Nighteye asked as he stopped in front of him, Izuku nodded as he bowed slightly in respect.

"Yes, sir!" Izuku replied, for a moment not a words passed between them. Until Nighteye sighed and gestured for Izuku to follow him.

The two made their way to the elevator and then down a hallway to Nighteye's office, as soon as they entered Izuku was blown away. The amount of All Might merch in the room rivaled his own, nearly making him drool in envy. There were even some pieces Izuku had never managed to get, such as a limited edition All Might poster.

"Alright, now let's get to business." Nighteye stated, sitting at his desk." First thing we need to do is assess the control you have over One For All, then we can begin training accordingly."

"Um, sir...All Might told me to show you my, Analysis books." Izuku inturrupted softly, pulling one of said books out of his backpack." He said you were interested in Analysis as well."

Izuku was protective of his notebooks, so he knew he was taking a huge risk handing it over to the Hero in front of him. Most of the times he handed his notebooks to someone, they ended up destroying it. It made him jaded to the idea of letting anyone have contact with them, but he was willing to give Nighteye a chance.

He handed the book over to the Hero, who had been confused by the words of Izuku.

However when Nighteye looked through the book, the Heroes eyes widened in shock and interest. He flipped through several pages, before placing the book to the sided and giving Izuku a appraising look.

"You are very talented with Analysis, Midoriya." Nighteye commented." If you wish I can teach you a bit about it during your breaks, that is if you are up to it."

Izuku's eyes widened at the offer, not having expected it. That was now two Pro Heroes who had offered to help him, first Aizawa and now Nighteye. He had expected the worst from this internship, however it was turning out to not be nearly as bad as he thought it was. Perhaps he could trust Nighteye after all.

"I would love to!" Izuku exclaimed in excitement." Though I don't think the Analysis are that good, but I am sure I can get better as time goes on."

Nighteye raised an eyebrow at the comment, amusement shining in his gold eyes.

"Not good?" Nighteye asked in disbelief." Midoriya, these Analysis are better then some professionals in the field, I would know being a professional Analyst myself."

Izuku's jaw dropped at the compliment, he hadn't expect his notebooks to be that good. It was just a hobby after all.

"Y-You think so?" Izuku asked with a slight stammer." I just didn't think...I mean it's just a fun hobby, nothing noteworthy."

"Let's agree to disagree then, Midoriya." Nighteye stated." Now let's go over the basic rules regarding your stay here."

Izuku nodded in response, listening closely.

"First off, no rudeness, discrimination, or bullying of any kind is accepted on the agency's property." Nighteye began." Second, you may not under any circumstances lie about injuries or avoid health care if you are injured. Third, while on patrol, you may not use your Quirk unless specifically specified otherwise. For now that is all, did you understand all of that?"

Izuku nodded, the rules seemed fairly easy to follow.

"Yes, sir." Izuku replied." Um, has All Might told you about my...current situation?"

"If your talking about the DNA change you went through, then the answer is yes." Nighteye stated with a nod." However it was determined other then appearance and technicalities regard your DNA...nothings really changed personality wise. Is this still true?"

"Yeah, just making sure you knew." Izuku said with a sigh." All Might said you knew about All For One, so I just thought I would make sure you knew the recent details. Last thing I want is to shock you, especially with this kind of thing."

"Understood." Nighteye said before holding his hand out." Now, why don't you get settled into the in building apartment we set up for you, then tomorrow we can get started on training and other important things."

Izuku nodded and Nighteye led him to his current living quarters.

Chapter 4: Training

Notes:

WARNING: Panic Attack

Chapter Text

"I see the problem." Nighteye stated with a sigh, once Izuku had powered One For All up." Your focusing your Quirk into a single limb, no wonder your breaking your bones! Try distributing it evenly throughout your body, starting with a small amount."

Izuku concentrated on the Heroes instructions, feeling for One For All. He then pushed it through his entire body, trying to only let a small amount do so. However it was still causing him discomfort, which he didn't understand.

"I don't know what I am doing wrong!" Izuku exclaimed in frustration, earning a frown from Nighteye." I pushed into my entire body, but I still feel sore and uncomfortable."

"Are you letting the power flow, or trying to control it like a series of dams?" Nighteye asked and Izuku blanked, he couldn't believe he was that stupid. Of course, he needed to build a stream, not just use it in short bursts!

"Thanks, Nighteye-sensei!" Izuku chirped to the Hero, who just sighed and continued to watch his progression with analytic eye.

Izuku powered his Quirk up, letting it flow instead of cutting off the source like before. It felt better, more natural. However it still made him sore, so he lowered the amount he allowed to flow. He kept doing it till the soreness was dull enough to be barely noticed, then he turned to the punching bag Nighteye had set up earlier.

With a single punch, the bag went flying into the wall on the far side of the room, sand spilling out of it. Izuku blinked, completely shocked, but ecstatic about the progress he was making with One For All.

"Did you see that?!" Izuku called to Nighteye, a grin spread across his face as he turned to look at the green haired Hero. Nighteye rolled his eyes, before giving Izuku a nod.

"Good job, it seems One For All has a interesting physical appearance when wielded by you, compared to All Might." Nighteye noted staring at Izuku. For a moment Izuku wondered what the man was talking about, then he looked down at his arms.

Red lightning flickered around his arm, something he recalled All For One producing when he used more then one Quirk in the Visions First had shown him. A unsettling feeling rose from inside Izuku's gut, this was another reminder of the situation he had found himself in. Not just that, but another similarity with the Villain he didn't want.

"It's the same." Izuku commented, earning a confused look from Nighteye." It's the same color lightning as...him. I saw it in Visions the First user shows me in my dreams, he had red lightning as well."

Nighteye didn't say anything, it was clear the Hero was not used to facing this kind of conversation on a regular bases.

"I hope the changes are only physical." Izuku said, but he was unsure of whether it would stay the case. Was this a matter of Nurture or Nature in his case, if he was genetically identical to All For One...how far did All For One's genetics drive him?

"Midoriya, you shouldn't worry about what if's." Nighteye stated eventually." Just focus on yourself, your friends, your progress, and UA. Things always have a way of working themselves out."

Izuku gave a surprised look towards Nighteye, before smiling. The Hero was right, it wouldn't do to dwell on things out of his control.

"I think I should go meditate for a while." Izuku said with a sigh." First has been a little Quiet lately, I am worried about him. I left him alone for a few days, but now I just don't understand whats going on."

Nighteye shifted so he was facing me, since he had gone to pick up the broken punching bag that lay on the far wall.

"Midoriya, you do realize the impact of your appearance would have on him, don't you?" Nighteye asked gently and he gave the Hero a confused look." You look exactly like his brother, the same brother we know likely hurt him in unforgivable ways. You need to give him time."

It hadn't even occurred to Izuku that Yoichi was suffering, his heart gave a pang of horror at the realization. Oh god, he had just assumed the first user didn't want anything to with him anymore, he kicked himself for feeling something so selfish. It wasn't him he should be worried about, it was Yoichi.

"That's all the more reason to do it!" Izuku protested, guilt coating his words." I was frustrated he was ignoring me, but now I have to apologize...I forgot what he put First through."

Nighteye sighed, before giving a small nod.

"Alright, you made a huge leap in progress today." Nighteye commented." I suppose it would be alright for you to take some time to meditate."

Izuku's smile was blinding and he rushed over, giving the Hero a hug and then running to his apartment. Kicking himself slightly for giving someone he barely knew a hug, but right now his embarrassment was the least of his concerns. No that spot was reserved for his friend, who he had just assumed had been ignoring him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took longer then normal for Izuku to arrive in the void, his guilt and thoughts had delayed the process. Once he appeared he took in six of the seven past users, but worry crept up inside when Yoichi wasn't among them.
"Where is First?" Izuku asked, making the six individuals turn to face him." I was worried about him, I don't need to see him...but how is he?"
For a moment none of the users made a sound, before Second walked forward and stood directly in front of Izuku. His heart pounded, he knew that the Second and Third users weren't keen on him, now likely more so.
"First is...he's been going through a panic attack." Second eventually said with a sigh." We all have tried to help him, but none of us can get through to him."
Izuku's eyes widened, he had gone through panic attacks before and they were certainly not fun at all. In fact when this whole situation had begun he had one, so he knew that Yoichi wasn't having a fun time right now. He looked around hoping to spot the First user, but there was nothing around.
"Perhaps I could...help him?" Izuku offered, it was up to users to agree or disagree, he was inside their home after all.
Thankfully though, the Second user just gave a sharp nod.
As soon as he did so, the air in the void shimmered and revealed Yoichi sitting curled up against one of the few solid structures in the void. For a moment Izuku just observed, before he took a hesitant step forward.
He didn't speak or let out a sound except his foot steps, eventually stopping directly in front of Yoichi. He paused for a moment, then kneeled down just sitting there making sure that he made no sudden movements.
"First?" Izuku called out gently after a while." Your ok, I promise nothing is gonna hurt you here, your name is Yoichi Shigaraki, your currently in the void of One For All, you have pure white hair, green eyes, and love comics...."
As Izuku spoke, Yoichi's trembling slowly came to a stop.
"Nothing will hurt you, you have a whole bunch of friends here." Izuku commented, not realizing that the First user had started coming out of their own mind." All of us worried about you and...I just want to apologize for not realizing you were suffering, that's on me."
"You didn't do anything wrong." Yoichi's soft voice said, making Izuku give the First user a sad smile. Izuku knew he shouldn't have gotten frustrated with Yoichi, not when this whole situation was just as difficult if not more so on them then it was on Izuku.
"I did though, I grew frustrated when you stopped talking to be." Izuku admitted closing his eyes." I should have realized the situation would cause you pain, it was selfish of me and that's on me. You had it worse with him, I was just being terrible friend..."
Izuku took a shaky breath, hoping Yoichi wasn't going to be mad at him. However he hadn't expected the warm arms that wrapped around him, pulling him into a hug. His eyes snapped open in shock, but he all he could see was Yoichi clinging to him like he had only days prior.
He decided not to say anything, he just sat there and hugged the man back. Letting the First user use him as a pillow and support system, it was the least he could do for Yoichi. He wasn't great at comforting people, but it did seem he was doing an ok job at it. Yoichi had stopped trembling and was even beginning to relax a little, much to Izuku's relief.
They stayed there for a few more minutes, until Yoichi pulled himself together and left the hug. Izuku kept his eyes down, not meeting the First users own green eyes. He didn't want his familiar red eyes to trigger another attack, it wouldn't be fun for either of them.
"It's ok, you can look at me." Yoichi's voice said softly, making Izuku frown in surprise." It's not the reason behind my panic attack, I am usually ok with the appearance of my brother."
Izuku slowly rose his red eyes to meet Yoichi's green, the First user tensed for a moment and then relaxed. Izuku was grateful he didn't trigger another attack, that wouldn't have been a good thing. It seemed however, Yoichi was slowly beginning to leave the his shell and get back to his usual personality.
"Are you ok?" Izuku asked looking at his friend in concern." I am sorry for not checking in on you, I...I thought you hated me. I guess I was just being selfish, it was you that was having the worst of it...not me."
"As I said before, I don't blame you." Yoichi stated firmly, giving Izuku a pointed look." You did nothing wrong, Izuku."
He nodded, but a part of him still didn't believe the First user.
"Do you want me to stay a little longer?" Izuku asked softly." I already trained with Nighteye, so I don't have anything else for the rest of the day. If he needs me he will wake me up, until then I can just sit here and talk with you. If you want, that is."
Yoichi gave Izuku a small smile, before inclining his head in acceptance of the offer and for the next few hours they talked about random things. Eventually the other users joined in, soon everyone was laughing and talking like nothing else matter in the world.
Chapter 5: Explanations
Notes:
Another factor of my AU. While Tensei did get attacked, he never got permanently injured. I had to change this or Izuku wouldn't have been there to save Iida, this isn't a character death fic after all!
Chapter Text
Izuku snapped out of his meditation, his entire body was stiff. He had stayed in the void longer then usual, wanting to make sure Yoichi was ok before leaving. He would be feeling stiff for a while though, but it was worth it. The light in his friends green eyes, as well as the smile on their face was more then worth the stiffness.
He stood up before noticing the clock, he had been sitting in the same position for nearly nine hours. It certainly hadn't felt that long, but time always seemed to move at a different pace when he was inside One For All's void.
Once he got showered and dressed, he made his way towards the buildings cafeteria for breakfast. Once he got there however he frowned, All Might and Recovery Girl were standing there talking to Nighteye about something he couldn't hear. Whatever it was however seemed serious.
Nighteye paused when he noticed Izuku standing off by the entrance of the cafeteria, waving him over. Izuku hesitated for a moment, before walking over to the trio.
"Ah, Izuku...we were waiting for you." Nighteye said with a tight smile, something was wrong and all three knew what it was.
Izuku frowned, but looked towards an empty table.
"Mind if we sit down while we talk?" Izuku asked hopefully." Turns out First was having a panic attack, I spent all night helping him along with the other users. I am a little stiff at the moment."
Nighteye glanced towards the others, before giving Izuku a nod. The four of them then found themselves sitting around a small table, preparing for whatever serious conversation was about to occur.
"Young Midoriya, I don't know how to say this...but we sent a blood sample to one of friends over on I-island, it revealed some startling facts." All Might began, looking hesitantly towards Recovery Girl.
"What Toshinori is trying to say is, turns out the reason your DNA is the identical to All For One is because your his clone." Recovery Girl stated and it was like the world had crashed down around Izuku.
He was All For One.
Izuku was a cheap copy of some centuries old Supervillain. He knew he was genetically identical, which was impossible. This shouldn't be crashing his world, but it wasn't even who he was a clone of that was the issue. It was the fact he was a clone in the first place, he wasn't a real person.
"I'm not a real person?" Izuku asked softly, his voice breaking." I am just some cheap copy of another person? I'm not unique or different?"
Nighteye's eyes widen at the words he spoke, before swiftly shaking his head rapidly.
"Midoriya, people are who they are because of memories, people who they surround themselves with, and so much more." Nighteye stated firmly." Your are Izuku Midoriya, fifteen year old Hero student at UA, kind, brave, and a ridiculous All Might fan just like me. That's who you are, just sharing DNA doesn't make you a different person."
Izuku listened to his mentor for the internships, bringing his hands up to wipe tears away from his eyes. All Might also gave Izuku a small smile, something that took his breath away as he realized none of the people sitting around him hated him.
"Ok...but, this does beg the question of whether mom knew I was a clone or if she doesn't have a clue." Izuku said slowly, a frown spreading across his face." I swear if All For One manipulated my mom..."
The threat hung in the air.
"We already talked to your mother, Midoriya." All Might admitted with a hefty sigh." We had her go to a Quirk doctor, who found traces of memory manipulation from around fifteen years ago."
Izuku let out another choked sob, fresh tears starting to fall from his eyes. His mom had her memory altered to believe he was actually her child, he could barely believe what he was hearing. It seemed to unreal, but Izuku knew All Might wasn't lying.
"Not only that, but after some digging we found evidence that the real Izuku Midoriya had actually been stillborn." Nighteye added softly." You were likely placed in her care, with your previous disguise on. Then a few memory altercations for your mother and the staff who delivered the original child...well you know what happens next of course."
Izuku could barely breath, not only was he placed in his mothers care...but he had replaced a preexisting child, he felt like he stole something from the original Izuku.
"Oh god." Izuku muttered, that was when he felt Yoichi's presence in his mind. The user was clearly checking in on him, likely having sensed his distress.
He gently pushed the most recent memories towards the first user, feeling as Yoichi shifted through them slowly. Izuku sensed the moment Yoichi got to the clone part, the first users presence recoiling in surprise.
"Understand, young Midoriya." All Might spoke up once more, the Hero's gaze soft." I don't regret giving you One For All, you are not the man that created you. You are a kind, brave, and understanding fifteen year old. Nothing will change my mind about that, so don't worry."
Izuku looked at his mentor, before nodding. He didn't think he believed the words just yet, but perhaps he could with time.
"Ok, All Might." Izuku nodded firmly, shooting the other Hero a determined look." I won't let you down, I will prove myself better then All For One!"
"That's the spirit, my boy!" All Might said with a wide smile, which made Izuku's mostly fake smile become all that more real.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'So I suppose this means your my new little brother.' Yoichi said a few hours after his conversation with All Might, Recovery Girl, and Nighteye.

He was turning Full Cowling on and off, he had been proud of the name he came up with for the way he wielded One For All.

Izuku paused at Yoichi words, thinking carefully about a response. While he was technically Yoichi's brother, he hadn't believed the first user would ever see him as more then a close friend. Family was so much closer and personal, was Yoichi telling him he wanted to be family?

'You don't mind, do you?' Izuku asked hesitantly, worried about Yoichi's reaction.' I don't have to be, not if you don't want.'

'Of course I don't mind!' Yoichi stated firmly.' To be honest I've always wanted a younger brother, but mom and dad died when me and...when we were young. I never got the chance to experience that.'

'Then...I think I would really like to be your brother, Yoichi-nii." Izuku responded softly, his words filled with hope. Yoichi gave a happy laugh, the feeling of joy flowing through One For All.

'I swear I will be the best big brother in the world, Otouto.' Yoichi said with determination, earning a chuckle from Izuku.

'You already are.' Izuku said with confidence.' You've been doing it since we met.'

Yoichi just hummed in agreement, the first user clearly still high of the excitement and joy of having a new sibling. Something Izuku could understand, it felt nice to finally have a sibling even if he hadn't expected it to be a dead man that was over two hundred years old. His life was rarely normal however, so Izuku could let that pass.

With that said Izuku powered up One For All again, letting it settle before letting go of the power. It was difficult, due to not being used to using One For All in more then just short bursts, but he could already tell it would become easier not to hurt himself while using it now.

'Why don't you ask to spar, with someone?' Seconds voice echoed through Izuku's head, startling him out of his concentration. The other users barely spoke to Izuku at all, at least while he was awake.

'But I am not yet used to keep One For All up yet.' Izuku protested with a frown.' It wouldn't be a good idea to let me to that, I've barely trained Full Cowling for more then two days.'

'True, but I find you seemed to learn more when your in action.' Second stated and Yoichi gave the second user a cooing noise.

'Aww, my Hero!' Yoichi purred happily.' I knew you liked Izuku! It was only a matter of time before you admitted it!'

' I don't like him, Yoichi!' Second growled out.' But if he's now my Brother in-law, then I better be able to get along with him.'

'Wait, you two are married?' Izuku exclaimed in shock, he had known the two were in a relationship...along with Third, but this was kinda a shock. He hadn't expected to be that serious, had they married before dying?

'Well sort of, we couldn't legally get married while on the run from my older brother, so we kind of just decided the three of us were husbands.' Yoichi admitted.' But since that was two hundred years ago, it doesn't really matter anyway.'

Izuku was mind blown, he had just gained a brother...and Yoichi came with two brother in-laws. He got a three for the price of one deal, it was such a weird concept for Izuku. He had three brothers now...three older brothers in fact.

'Stop talking about our relationship, Yoi-chan.' Third grumbled, joining into the conversation. Startling Izuku once more, were all the users gonna pop into his head now or just the married ones?

'Oh, we aren't the only married ones, Nine.' Second stated with a snicker.' Daigorou or Five is married to Hikage or Fourth.'

'Oh my god!' Izuku exclaimed in surprise.' I have five gay ghosts living in my head...that actually sounds awesome!'

'And two bisexual Ghosts.' Nana piped in, making Izuku sigh. Looks like he was correct in the assumption that more of the users would start to talk in his head from now on.

'Any relationship advice?' Izuku asked jokingly, earning a exasperated feeling from One For All.' Hey, just asking!'

Chapter 6: Back To UA

Chapter Text

Izuku walked into Class 1-A feeling better then he had in a long time, especially since finding out the truth behind his origins. Thankfully his mom had told him she didn't care where he came from, only that he was her son. It had made Izuku cry for nearly two hours afterwards, of which his mom had joined in.

Despite this, he had decided to petition for a new name. He didn't feel comfortable taking the name of the child who he was never meant to be, something that had surprised his mom, the past users, and his mentors.

Unfortunately, the name changing process would take time, so Izuku decided to keep using the one he had for now.

As he looked around the room, he spotted several of his classmates chatting excitedly with each other about their Internships. He overheard some things about Iida's time with Manual and Kacchan's time with Best Jeanist. Izuku had been mildly surprised that his former friend had chosen a Hero that didn't have much to do with actual combat, but he wasn't one to judge such a decision.

Moments later Aizawa stepped into the classroom, making everyone go silent. No matter how many times it happened, he was always in awe of how Aizawa could pull in the attention of everyone in the room. He didn't even speak a word, he just walked in. If Izuku didn't know Aizawa's Quirk, he would have assumed the teacher was using a Quirk to keep them all quiet.

As the class moved along quietly, it allowed Izuku time to mentally drift. His eyes flickering from one classmate to the next, however he was starting to notice something off.

For the last few hours, everyone had begun to glow faintly from their chest areas. Each person had a different colored glow, and it also had a pulling affect on Izuku. It was something he had never experienced in his life and the brighter the glow, the stronger the pull was.

It wasn't until the sparring session that it became a problem though.

Izuku had been paired against Todoroki, a pretty even match if the sports festival was anything to go by. However as soon as his opponent activated their Quirk, Izuku's went blank as a feeling began rising inside him. It wasn't painful, not really. It was more like a need, want, or desire.

It was directed at the glowing light in Todoroki's chest, the light was duel colored both red and blue. The colors resembling a yin yang symbol.

The needy feeling grew stronger and strong until Izuku was practically frozen stiff and it wasn't from Todoroki's ice. For a solid several seconds nothing seemed to happen, then Izuku lunged forward as if to attack in a hand to hand combat way.

Izuku's hand grabbed Todoroki's wrist on his ice side and instinctively he began pulling at the blue half of Todoroki's light, which seemed make his opponent gasp in pain and agony as they clenched their teeth. A red glow enveloped the two, before Izuku jerked his backwards as his mind came rushing back.

That only made things worse though, as the blue half of Todoroki's core ripped itself away from his red half. The sudden loss of the blue half causing his opponent to fall backwards unconscious, like their strings had been cut.

The blue light Izuku had taken settled within himself, finally fully breaking the haze of his mind. When he became aware of his surroundings he noticed people staring at him with fear and confusion, however what just happened was little more then a blur to him. He frowned and turned his head to look at Aizawa, who was using Eraser to no affect.

"W-What just...h-happened?" Izuku asked, confusion in his tone." I barely remember anything after Todoroki activated his Quirk."

Those words seemed to trigger a response and Aizawa rushed over to Todoroki, placing a finger against his classmates neck. After a few moments, Aizawa let out a relieve sigh and turned to Izuku with a serious expression.

"You'd better explain yourself, Problem Child." Aizawa stated, his voice hard, before he turned to the class Rep." Iida, call Recovery Girl!"

Iida did what he was told dialing the emergency number for Recovery Girl into his phone, waiting as the call went through.

Izuku was confused, he didn't know what was happening. Whatever it was however, scared him to no end. He looked from Todoroki to Iida, then towards Aizawa in confusion and fear. It was obvious he had done something really really bad, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what it was.

"What happened, Sensei?" Izuku asked his teacher, as soon as the words came out of his mouth, Aizawa paled slightly.

"You grabbed Todoroki's wrist on his ice side, which caused a lot of pain for him." Aizawa stated with a sigh." After you let go, Todoroki fell unconscious due to the pain."

He swallowed at the recap, he didn't know what was going on.

However he felt different, almost more powerful and that terrified Izuku. He looked downwards at the rainbow glow of One For All inside him, only to see a second glow of ice blue nestled next to his main light. Izuku then turned to look at Todoroki, only to pale once he saw that his classmate had a shredded light, the tatters of which seemed to match the blue ones.

What had he done, what had he taken from Todoroki? What did this light symbolize and why had it only made Izuku react this way after Todoroki had activated their Quirk.

A moment later Recovery Girl barged into the area, All Might at her heels. The sight of his mentor making Izuku breath a sigh of relief, even if the man wasn't of much use to the situation for the moment.

"Young Midoriya, what happened?" All Might questioned in concern, the Hero looking at Todoroki carefully." Iida told me you touched young Todoroki, before they collapsed."

Izuku hesitated for a moment before nodding, he was scared.

"Yeah, as soon as Todoroki-kun activated his Quirk, I lost a few minutes of time." Izuku admitted." When I regained awareness, Todoroki-kun was on the ground and Aizawa was giving me a glare."

All Might frowned, but waved for him to continue.

"I have been noticing lights inside everyone's chests the past few hours." Izuku confessed with a sigh." They didn't do anything concerning, so I left it alone. However whenever people would activate their Quirk, I would get a pulling feeling. Like I needed the light, more then I've ever needed something before."

Izuku took a deep breath, taking a small break from explaining. He was still nervous and scared about what had just occurred.

"Todoroki's light was red mixed with blue, like a yin yang symbol." Izuku explained, but when I regain my mind, it was a torn red...while I seemed to have the torn blue side."

All Might yes seemed to grow as wide as saucers, concern flickering in his mentors blue eyes as they stared at me.

"Oh my, I knew it was a possibility...but..." All Might trailed off, sounding tired. Izuku blinked, what did All Might mean by possibility?

"What do mean?" Izuku asked confused." Is this something you were expecting?"

All Might took a deep breath, before letting it out slowly.

"Izuku, it would appear you've manifested the Quirk All For One." All Might stated simply, making Izuku's eyes widen in complete and utter shock. He had the Quirk of the very Villain who's DNA comprised Izuku's own existence.

"What the...great, just great...yet another thing I have in common with that egotistical, megalomaniac, psychopath!" Izuku shouted, throwing his hands up in the air, anger rolling off him in waves.

"I understand this may not be ideal, especially since you seem almost compelled to take Quirks." All Might said, running a hand down his face." I promise you we will help you resist the need to take Quirks as time goes on, however we may not be able to stop it completely."

"But I don't want to steal Quirks!" Izuku exclaimed in frustration." I just want to be a normal kid, with no clone business or Quirk stealing...just normal, is that so hard to ask for?"

"I am so sorry, young Midoriya." All Might whispered softly." There are ways we can get you Quirks if needed, old person home or perhaps death row inmates?"

Izuku was barely listening at this point, this had just become another thing on the list of reasons his life is shattering into millions of pieces. Just when he thinks he's put it back together, something else pops up. It was overwhelming, he was sick and tired of the constant upheavals of his own life.

'Otouto, relax.' Yoichi murmured into his mind.' Everything will turn out ok, I promise...just have a little faith.'

'I'm trying Yoichi...I really am.' Izuku replied, exhaustion clear in his thoughts.' But I am so tired of everything that's happened, I just want it to stop.'

'We're all her for you, kid.' Second added in, his voice the same tone as it usually was, yet Izuku could somehow feel the concern in the second users words. Third, Hikage, Daigorou, and Nana agreed as well. Izuku even felt En or Six send positive feelings through One For All, since the sixth user preferred not to talk.

'Thanks, I appreciate it.' Izuku replied letting his anger subside slowly.' I really do.'

Chapter 7: A Bloody Surprise

Notes:

Alrighty everyone! If any of you have suggestions on Izuku's new name, feel free to put them in the comments. I will put them into consideration when deciding! Only his first name is changing...Midoriya is staying the same.

Chapter Text

It took two weeks before everything had calmed down, once he was able to Izuku gave Todoroki's ice Quirk back. However it never went back to the way it was before, the soft yin yang appearance wasn't how the Quirk looked. It looked like someone patched it up with barely any experience, which was basically what had occurred.

Todoroki was thankfully not terribly upset with the situation, although he did offer to use his families name to help the process of finding people willing to let their Quirks go. It was a move that surprised Izuku, it surprised him even more when he found out it was Endeavor himself who had brought the idea up in the first place.

Right now Izuku was walked down the street, taking the long way to school, wanting a bit more time to think. His petition for a new name had been approved just a few hours earlier, now all he had to do was fill out paperwork and actually decide what the name was gonna be.

A low growl sound echoed in a nearby alley way, followed by a scream. Izuku went stock still and turned slowly towards the alley way he was next to, worry starting to settle into his gut as he tried to figure out the source of the sound.

Hesitantly he stepped into the alley way, knowing this wasn't a smart idea. His brother's anxious energy seeping through One For All didn't make this any easier, but Izuku would try and stay safe for Yoichi's sake.

At the end of the alley way was a blonde girl, she was hunched over what Izuku could tell was a body. His stomach dropped, but just when he thought of turning away, the girl stopped whatever she was doing. She looked down at her hands that were covered in blood and seeped to almost break at the sight, fear and guilt flashing across her face.

Did she not do this on purpose, of not what was the reason behind her killing this person?

"Are you alright?" Izuku called out as he approached slowly, making sure to keep his body looking relaxed and nonchalant.

The girl whipped around, her golden cat like eyes widening in fear and panic. Izuku just held his hands up, giving the girl a soft kind smile. It seemed to make the girl pause, hesitantly looking from the body to Izuku and back again.

"I...I don't...I didn't mean to." The girl said hurriedly, as if worried Izuku would do something to her. As she talked Izuku noticed fangs in her mouth, making him sigh. It was a Quirk related urge then, something that was common with certain types of Quirks.

"You need blood to survive, don't you." Izuku commented and the girl nodded softly." I know someone who can help, but only if you willing. Their a Hero who has a blood related Quirk as well, they might be able to give you a helping hand."

It was a shot in the dark, he didn't actually know Vlad King very well. The Hero wasn't in any of his classes due to being 1-B's homeroom teacher, but it was the best shot at getting the girl help and preventing her from turning into a Villain.

The girl hesitated for a moment, glancing around for an escape route before turning back to him. She slowly moved towards him, like a cat ready to flee at the slightest hint of danger.

"It's alright, I won't hurt you." Izuku promised, and held his hand out for her to decide whether to take it or not. After a few moments of consideration, she took the hand before breaking down in tears.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry...I didn't want to kill anyone. I promise." The girl sobbed and Izuku pulled her into a hug. Closing his eyes and feel outwards for any nearby Heroes, there weren't any recognizable ones.

"Let's get you somewhere safe and get you out of that bloody outfit." Izuku suggested, earning a nod from the girl." What's your name?"

"Himiko Toga." Himiko replied, wiping tears away from her eyes. Izuku gave her a kind smile, before standing and helping Himiko to her feet. He shrugged the outer layer of his uniform off and handed to her, knowing that people might make assumptions if they saw the blood.

As the two walked at a hurried pace towards UA, Izuku felt his brothers pride through One For All. Apparently his brother approved of his decision with Himiko, something that oddly filled him with happiness. Or perhaps it wasn't too odd, considering Izuku had never had a sibling before. He didn't know how it normally felt when one made the other happy or proud.

They reached the entrance to UA, Izuku pulling out his phone and calling Aizawa. He had a pass to get in, but Himiko didn't.

"Eraserhead, sir...I have a guest I want to allow to the premises." Izuku said into the phone, giving Himiko a small but reassuring smile." She needs help, from Heroes."

After a few moments Izuku hung up, before the front gate powered down and allowed the two walk through without setting off alarms. Izuku and Himiko made their way directly to the medical bay, since he needed to ensure she was alright considering how long she looked like she had been on the streets.

"Are you injured?" Izuku asked Himiko gently, she shook her head negatively." Alright, do mind if Recovery Girl does a quick check up on your health?"

Himiko hesitated for a moment, before shaking her head slowly. He smiled at her and gave a nod, before they walked through the doors.

Recovery Girl was standing in front of a screen, it showed a results that Izuku couldn't read without his brain hurting. He nodded to Himiko, pointing for her to sit down on of the chairs nearby. He then walked up to Recovery Girl and lightly coughed into his hand, gaining the Medical Heroes attention.

"Midoriya, are you honestly hurt again?" Recovery Girl asked exasperated, but Izuku just smiled and shook his head.

"No, this time it's for someone else." Izuku commented and turned to wave at Himiko who looked overwhelmed." Her names Himiko Toga...she has a blood related Quirk and her urges have made it so she snapped and accidentally killed someone."

"That's a serious crime." Recovery Girl noted her voice low so Himiko wouldn't hear." What's her Quirk exactly?"

"Never asked, I was a little preoccupied with getting her out of a dirty alley way and into new warmer clothes." Izuku stated dryly." I also thought introducing her to Vlad King would be a good idea."

"Your probably right." Recovery Girl relented before giving Himiko a small smile and waving her over to them." Come on deary, lets get you checked over for anything that could cause you health problems in the future."

Izuku walked away from the two until we was by the door, just as Aizawa entered the medical bay. The teacher looked slightly out of breath, clearly worried about Izuku and possibly the girl.

"Midoriya, how do you keep attracting these situations?" Aizawa asked looking past him and to Himiko who was chatting happily with Recovery Girl.

"I don't know Aizawa-sensei, I ask myself that everyday." Izuku replied cheekily, earning a glare from his teacher." But in all honesty, I wouldn't have found her if I hadn't taken the long route to school today."

"So blood related Quirk that requires the intake of blood to survive?" Aizawa asked giving him a look." I already called Vlad, he should be down here in a few minutes."

He let a breath he had been holding, relieved that Aizawa and Recovery Girl were willing to help Himiko. It would have been awkward if they immediately jumped to trying to arrest the girl, she certainly was jumpy enough and if that happened then Izuku was certain that Himiko wouldn't trust again.

"Ok, thank you dear, now why don't you sit down while I discuss your results with Eraserhead." Recovery Girl said with a smile to Himiko, who nodded in acceptance and went back to her seat.

Izuku and Aizawa walked up to Recovery Girl curiously, he wanted to know how bad the urge drink blood was. The look on the Medical Heroes face told a grim story, how many times had Himiko been forced to kill?

"Well, Izuku was right about one thing, she definitely needs blood to survive or at least function normally." Recovery Girl said with a sigh." Her Quirk allows her to transform into anyone she drinks the blood of, if my readings are correct her Quirk forces her to drink blood and if she doesn't get blood...then she runs the risk of permenant psychological damage. It's honestly a miracle she hasn't gone full on insane."

The grim silence after those words filled the air and Izuku turned to glance at Himiko who was playing with a deck of cards, her expression soft yet intense as she tried to shuffle them properly. He swallowed wondering how long she would have lasted if he hadn't stumbled upon her, something told him it wouldn't have been much longer.

"Can...you help her?" Izuku asked softly." I promised I would get her help, she doesn't deserve to be a victim of her own Quirk."

"And she won't be." A voice cut through the room, turning Izuku spotted Vlad who was looking between Recovery Girl, Izuku, and Aizawa and Himiko.

"So what is your plan then?" Recovery Girl asked with a frown." According to the girl her parents aren't fit to be guardians, she has nowhere to go that isn't in the system."

"That's not completely true." Izuku spoke up, earning a glare from Aizawa." Don't Heroes all have emergency Fostering licenses?"

"We can't just expect us to take in every kid off the streets, Midoriya." Aizawa stated with a frown." I certainly don't have time for that."

"I wasn't asking it of you, Aizawa-sensei." Izuku said before turning to Vlad." I was asking it of Vlad, who has a blood related Quirk as well. Plus his Quirk means he can never run out of blood, he's practically a walking source of stable food for her."

The the three Heroes shared looks with each other, before Vlad sighed and gave a sharp nod to Aizawa.

"Fine, but it is only temporary until a permanent solution is figured out." Vlad said and went over to Himiko, kneeling in front of her so they were on eye level and started talking.

Chapter 8: Shinsou's Apology

Chapter Text

"How are you doing Toga-chan?" Izuku asked gently, the girl looked much calmer and happier then she had the day prior. Himiko gave him a small smile, self consciously running her tongue over her fangs.

"I'm doing ok, thank you for helping me..." Toga said, playing with the sleeves of her shirt nervously." I just can't believe I actually killed someone."

Izuku winced, that couldn't have been easy on her, he knew he would be broken if he killed someone. The feeling of worry emanated from One For All, indicating that his brother was worried about him. Yoichi was always so over protective sometimes, but it definitely felt nice to have his older brother's presence.

'I am not over protective!' Yoichi squawked out, earning a snigger of amusement from some of the other users.

'Yoichi...just this morning you told me not to leave the house without a knife and taser, just because you afraid I would run into something dangerous.' Izuku responded, feeling great amusement when he felt his brother pouting.

"I am sure it's not easy to deal with, but you've got support and people who don't blame you for what you had to do." Izuku replied to the blonde girl, who gave him a shaky smile in return.

For the next several minutes Izuku talked to Toga, chatting about likes and dislikes. It was sad finding out that Toga had originally wanted to be a Hero, but her parents refused to even entertain the thought. Her parents had stated they wanted a perfect girly girl, not one who was willing to get dirty to save some random stranger that they didn't know.

This filled Izuku with rage, he hated people treating other differently based on some stupid expectation on what normal was supposed to be. Perhaps he could talk to Nedzu about letting her into Class 1-A, alongside Shinsou.

"I am sorry you had to go through that." Izuku said with a sad frown." I spent the first fifteen years of my life believing I was Quirkless, so I know how it feels being bullied for something I can't control."

"You were Quirkless?" Toga questioned, looking surprised.

Izuku chuckled at the expression the girls face, she was clearly trying to put together the pieces she knew about Quirk's and Quirkless people. It was kinda cute to watch. The unintentional thought made several of the users chuckle in his head, much to his embarrassment.

"Yup, then I got my Quirk the day of the entrance exam." Izuku said with a grin." It also evolved two weeks ago, so now I need to get used to another aspect of my Quirk."

Toga winced sympathetically, before giving him a curious look.

"What's the new aspect of your Quirk?" Toga asked curiously. Izuku hesitated, wondering if he should mention that he could steal Quirks.

"I can take someone's Quirk and use it for myself or transfer it to someone else." Izuku said making Toga's eyes widen in excitement.

"That's so cool!" Toga said with a grin." When I transform I can use the Quirk of the person I transform into, it's only half as strong though. I can use Emitter types, Transformation types, and some Mutation types!"

Izuku was floored at this aspect of Toga's Quirk, it was similar to Monoma's from 1-B other then the transformation part. It was clearly a copy Quirk as well as a Transformation type Quirk, though the fangs and slit eyes would suggest Mutation type Quirk. He wondered if it was possible to be all three Quirk types at the same time.

"Um, Midoriya-kun, your muttering." Toga said and Izuku flushed at the realization, giving the girl an embarrassed chuckle.

"I'm sorry, Quirks just fascinate me so much!" Izuku admitted with a blush." Sorry if it bothered you or made you uncomfortable. Most people say it's makes me sound creepy and scary."

Toga shook her head rapidly, a look of sympathy on her face.

"No, it doesn't make you look creepy." Toga protested." I just thought you looked as if you didn't even realize you were doing it, so I just wanted to inform you."

"Oh, then thank you!" Izuku said beaming to the girl, earning more amused feelings through One For All. What was up the users today, they were constantly amused for some reason.

Izuku was sitting with Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki when Shinsou walked up to him, a pensive expression. He frowned at the purple haired Gen Ed student, why were they coming over here? He had already promised to talk to someone about getting them into the Hero course, did something happen that he wasn't aware of?

"Midoriya, can I talk to you for a sec?" Shinsou asked, shifting a little nervously under the gaze of Izuku's three friends.

"Um, sure thing Shinsou!" Izuku replied cheerfully, before glancing back at his friends." I will be gone for a bit, we can hang out later. That ok with you three?"

"Sure thing, Deku-kun!" Uraraka replied after she swallowed a bit of her lunch.

"Of course, Midoriya." Iida said with a small smile." Just grab us if something happens or if you need something."

"I find that arrangement acceptable." Todoroki stated, giving a brief nod and returning to his food.

'Your friends are weird.' Daigorou stated simply, making Izuku snort in amusement.

'Um, Daigorou-kun...you do realize most of you are my friends too right?' Izuku asked and the silence afterwards was more then telling of what Daigorou thought.

Izuku followed Shinsou out into a quiet part of the hallway, he was a little concerned about what the purple haired teen wanted. Last time he was pulled aside was when Shoto gave the All Might secret love child theory. Which now that he had found out about his true origins, meant that theory felt much worse then before.

They stopped and for a moment Shinsou seemed to be fighting himself over something, then a moment later the boy sighed.

"Midoriya, I want to apologize for what I said during the Sports Festival." Shinsou began, looking guilty." I hadn't realized that you had it so bad before UA, I only know about that because Eraserhead talked to me personally after the fight."

Izuku was expecting a lot, but he hadn't been expecting an apology. It just didn't seem neccessary, he understood how Shinsou felt. He understood feeling weak, useless, or just not worth a second glance. For a moment he didn't really respond, there were many things he could say to the other teen.

"I won't pretend those words didn't hurt." Izuku admitted slowly." However I understand the anger, hurt, and pain that caused those words. I won't blame you for what you said, because people pushed you to the point of being cynical of everyone and everything. The point I'm trying to say is...I forgive you Shinsou."

Shinsou closed their eyes, nodding slowly as if they hadn't expected Izuku to actually forgive them. It hurt a little, knowing that Shinsou was so used to people hating them or being afraid of them. It wasn't fair on them, it wasn't fair on Himiko, and it wasn't fair on him.

"Thanks, I guess." Shinsou said softly, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly." I guess I'll just leave now, thanks for the chat."

Izuku reached out and stopped them before they could leave, Shinsou giving him a surprised expression. Clearly they hadn't expected to be paused, but Izuku could see then other teen needed more friends and he was more then willing to be one if they wanted it.

"If you want, I am willing to be your friend." Izuku offered with a kind smile." I understand how not having friends can hurt, but we're kinda in the same boat or I used to be at least."

"You want to be friends...with me?" Shinsou questioned, looking confused and slightly scared.

"Of course!" Izuku responded cheerfully." You'd likely also get along with another friend of mine, their name is Himiko Toga. Her Quirk was heavily discriminated against, mainly due to her special dietary requirements."

Shinsou hesitated for a moment, before giving a shy shrug.

"I guess I can give it a try." Shinsou said, biting their lip slightly." I am not good at making friends though, so sorry if I do something wrong."

"There is no manual for making friends Shinsou." Izuku reassured with a grin." We'll take it one step at a time, there is no rush. For now however, I need to get going. I am meeting a teacher about something to do with my Quirk, why don't I introduce Toga to you tomorrow?"

"Alright, see you later then, Midoriya." Shinsou nodded and Izuku watched the purple haired teen walk away, noticing the slight skip in their step. He had definitely cheered them up, the thought made him warm and happy.

'I'm proud of you, Izuku.' Yoichi's voice echoed in his head, making him smile even wider.

'Thanks, Yoichi-nii.' Izuku replied, before sighing.' I better head over to All Might now, we still haven't discussed what the plan is for when my Quirk hunger becomes a problems again. He suspects it will be sooner then it would normally be, mainly cause I gave Shoto's Quirk back.'

'Yes it is very likely you'll have another incident soon then, our older brother could only go a month after stealing Quirk.' Yoichi stated.' And about two and a half weeks if he gave that Quirk back or to someone else.'

'Then I guess I should mention the urgency to All Might.' Izuku said with a concerned from.' Perhaps one of the Teacher would let me keep their Quirk for a bit so I can prolong my need.'

'That might work.' Second comment, joining the conversation.' By the way, shouldn't you be meeting All Might right about now?'

Izuku cursed under his breath, before speed walking towards the Principals office.

Chapter 9: Gaining An Eraser

Chapter Text

"All Might, sorry I'm late for our meeting." Izuku said when he entered the room, noting how All Might was talking to the Detective from after the USJ.

All Might turned towards Izuku, a wide smile on their face.

"Ah, Young Midoriya!" All Might greeted." This here is Detective Tsukauchi, I believe you have met at least once before."

Izuku nodded, giving the Detective a small nod. Tsukauchi was fairly plain looking, but Izuku knew they were extremely good at the their job. Their Quirk also facinated him, he wondered how it worked and what it could detect as a lie or truth.

"Yup, we met after the USJ." Izuku confirmed with a smile." He Questioned everyone on what happened, though I never got to ask about his Quirk."

He pouted at that last part, earning a chuckle from Yoichi and some of the other users inside One For All. All Might himself looked amused and exasperated, but Tsukauchi simply gave him a reassuring smile. Thankfully they didn't seem to weirded out by his obsession with Quirks, it was nearly as bad as his obsession with Heroes.

"It's fine, you can ask me questions about my Quirk later." Tsukauchi said and he nearly shouted in excitement." Right now however we need to discuss how we are going to curb your Quirk hunger, we can't have you stealing Quirks whenever it gets out of hand."

"Well First says All For One could go about a month without taking a Quirk, but only about two and a half weeks if he returned said Quirk or gave it to someone else." Izuku said with a frown." It's been just over two weeks since I took and returned Todoroki's Quirk, so I don't have very long before the pull starts up again."

"That's concerning, I don't think we can find a solution in such a short amount of time." Tsukauchi stated with a sigh.

"I do have an idea though." Izuku said and both adults gave a nod to go ahead and explain." Perhaps while I wait for a solution, I could periodically take a staff members Quirk for a month, then return it and take a different one. Sure they would be without a Quirk for a while, but most of them just teach all day. They don't go out on patrols nearly as often as they did before teaching at UA."

"That could definitely work short term." All Might said with a small nod.

"Then I will tell the staff that's what we are going to do until I can get the paper work in to find a more permanent solution." Tsukauchi said before picking his jacket up off the chair it was on.

"What teacher should I ask first?" Izuku wondered out loud, earning a small laugh from All Might.

"Perhaps Aizawa would be a good place to start, he is your homeroom teacher." All Might suggested." Plus Nedzu has been trying to get that man to take a vacation for years, without his Quirk he would be forced to take a step back from non-mutation type cases."

"Alright, sounds like a plan." Izuku replied with a nod, before getting up and heading towards the door." Also All Might, do you think it would be ok if someone took a look into Shinsou's home environment? I am a little worried."

Tsukauchi and All Might shared a look, before giving him a small nod.

"We can do that." All Might confirmed and Izuku gave them both a grateful look, before exiting the room.

As he walked down the hall to his Homeroom, he wondered how he should broach the subject of borrowing Aizawa's Quirk. He couldn't imagine most people would be comfortable being Quirkless, even for only a month.

'Well out of all the teachers, Aizawa fights Quirkless the most.' Second stated.' He'd actually probably be the least inconvenienced out of all the staff.'

'True.' Izuku admitted slowly.' I just feel uncomfortable with the idea of taking something that wasn't mine to begin with. It's different then taking One For All, considering All Might gave One For All willingly.'

'Don't worry, as long as you have permission from the original owner of said Quirk then you'll be fine.' Yoichi said, sending reassuring feelings through One For All.

'Thanks, Yoichi-nii.' Izuku commented, before arriving at the door to Class 1-A. The class wasn't currently in Homeroom right now, so he'd have more privacy with talking to Aizawa then he normally would.

He pushed the door open, revealing Aizawa was sitting at his desk likely grading papers. He always assumed Aizawa slept when he wasn't teaching, but then again he wouldn't have been able to stay a teacher if he didn't do his job. Aizawa glanced up when he walked into the room, a curious and mildly worried expression on their face.

"Um, Aizawa-sensei...could I ask you a question please?" Izuku asked hesitantly, but Aizawa just nodded and gestured to come over to the desk.

"What is it, Problem Child?" Aizawa asked as he wrote something down on his papers.

"All Might thinks that my Quirk hunger will be back soon." Izuku said slowly." I was wondering if I could take your Quirk for a month to postpone the backlash."

Aizawa stopped writing completely, a frown settling onto their face.

"I am an active Hero on top of a teacher, Midoriya." Aizawa pointed out and Izuku nodded, knowing that was true. He couldn't just not take a Quirk though and Aizawa would be the least affected person, he didn't want to lose himself to a Quirk hadn't even wanted in the first place. Not again.

"I know, but out of all the staff...your the least impacted by not using your Quirk." Izuku explained with a sigh." You fought mostly Quirkless during USJ, since most of your opponents were Mutation types."

His teacher gave a hum of acknowledgement, before leaning back in their chair with a thinking expression. Clearly debating on whether to give him permission or to tell him to ask another teacher. Eventually however Aizawa gave a small sigh, inclining his head in acceptance.

"Alright, but only for a month." Aizawa warned and Izuku felt relief at his teachers words, he nodded rapidly and held out his hand.

Aizawa took his hand as if to shake it and Izuku pulled gently at the Quirk light inside his teachers chest, coaxing it out slowly. He didn't want it to be like with Todoroki, he didn't want it to be painful for the person getting it removed. He wasn't trying to tear it out after all, just borrow it and return it at a later date.

Slowly the red light left Aizawa and settled into Izuku's own Quirk, making him feel more alert and energized then he had felt in a while. His teacher grumbled a small complaint about feeling like something was missing, before attempting to activate their Quirk.

Predictably, nothing happened and Aizawa gave Izuku a small nod.

"Alright, Problem Child, now that you've got my Quirk I need to get the rest of my paper work done." Aizawa stated gesturing towards said paperwork.

"Ok, Aizawa-sensei." Izuku replied and turned to leave." Thanks for the help by the way!"

Izuku left the classroom, feeling relieved that it was over. However he kind of wanted to try out Aizawa's Quirk, perhaps whenever Kacchan decided he was gonna try and 'kill' him again. The thought was amusing, Kacchan was certainly calmer since UA...but not by much..

'I think he's biding his time...' Hikage stated simply.' He's gonna kill you in your sleep one day.'

'Hikage, no!' Third cried out, sounding exasperated.' I am tired of your paranoia, not everything is out to get you or our successors!'

'All of us were literally killed...I think his paranoia is valid.' En added, earning the feeling of a glare from everyone even Izuku.

'Guy's I am getting a headache, please talk calmer when in my head.' Izuku said with a wince.' My head is pounding up a storm right now...'

'Someone might have poisoned you.' Hikage suggested calmly, earning groans from every single user. Izuku just rolled their eyes, not even giving that a response. He did at least feeling happy that Hikage was worried about him, it felt nice to have the Fourth users support.

'You don't just have the Fourth's support.' Second spoke up.' You have all of our support, we aren't leaving you. Not even if you try and give One For All to someone else, your stuck with us till the end, Midoriya.'

The overwhelming feeling of care, love, and other positive emotions filled Izuku through One For All and almost made him cry. He had known Yoichi cared, as well as Nana...but the realization that all of the users cared about him now was surprising. Even Second cared about him, if the words and feelings being sent his way were any indication.

He returned the positive feelings with his own feelings of gratitude, it was nice to have a family that knew his darkest feelings and emotions. The One For All users knew every part of him, even the parts he didn't want anyone to know about. He would never admit this out loud, but they were his internal support system and kept him from drowning under all of this new information that kept coming in about his origins.

Izuku would never trade the users for anything in the world, he swore it on his life.

Chapter 10: Collecting Family Like Cards

Chapter Text

'Izuku, you might want to come into the void.' Yoichi said hesitantly, sounding almost disturbed by something.

Izuku had been about to settle into bed, but he sighed and allowed himself to fall asleep and slip into the void. Appearing next to Second, he looked around and blinked in shock at the sight of Aizawa. What was his teacher doing in his head, how were they in his head?

"What the absolute..." Izuku trailed off, doing a good impression of a goldfish.

"That's about the same reaction all of us had." Daigorou admitted, staring at Aizawa who was surrounded by a red aura. His poor teacher looked extremely confused and mildly panicked, which was understandable as they likely only had the memories up until he took their Quirk.

Aizawa was in a defensive position, but paused when they spotted Izuku. He gave his teacher a awkward wave, smiling nervously at them and hoping he wasn't about to get expelled for this. Then again he wondered if they even had power do that now that they were inside his Quirk, question for later he supposed.

"Hey Aizawa-sensei!" Izuku greeted, earning an exasperated look from the man.

"Honestly, Problem Child, how do you keep getting into these situations?" Aizawa asked, pinching the bridge of their nose.

"I've been asking myself that for a long time now." Izuku admitted, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly." Sorry about this, I didn't realize you would develop a Vestige inside my Quirk, normally I would just get of a Vestige due to the risk of them being hostile...but I don't really don't want to metaphorically kill you."

Izuku winced at the mildly disturbed expression on his teacher face, he had talked about murdering them in front of them after all. This was awkward, how was he getting out of this one?

"I don't know why I am even surprised by you anymore." Aizawa mumbled with a sigh." Will this....Vestige of me stay after my Quirk is returned?"

Izuku blinked, the other One For All users stayed because their Quirks got absorbed into One For All, would he also absorb a copy of Eraser. If that was the case then the combination of All For One and One For All could mimic the abilities of a Copy Quirk, just without limitations of not being able to keep said Quirks.

He turned to Yoichi, hoping the First user would have an answer for him.

His Brother had a thoughtful expression on their face, lost in their theorizing. Izuku sighed and rolled his eyes, it was one of the few similarities between All For One and Yoichi. They loved breaking things down, in All For One's case it was Quirks...something Izuku was also sadly inherited.

For Yoichi however it was mysteries, he loved figuring out things he didn't know. It finally made Izuku realize how creepy he likely was when he muttered, cause Yoichi muttered to and he was mildly disturbed by it.

"Um, Brother?" Izuku spoke hesitantly, making Yoichi blink out of their trance.

"Oh, um...as far as I know yes, Aizawa's Vestige would stick around even after you give Eraser back to the original or living version of them." Yoichi said." That being said, I do not know whether Eraser would have been inside One For All long enough to copy it. This hasn't exactly happened before, so this is completely knew territory."

Aizawa nodded at explanation, before wincing.

"Are you going to...get rid of me?" Aizawa asked hesitantly and Yoichi exchanged looks with the rest of the One For All users, a contemplative expression on their face.

"Normally yes, but considering you are trusted heavily by Izuku, I could make an exception for you." Yoichi said slowly." It would also give Izuku free access to someone who he can ask the advice to when the real one isn't around."

Izuku grinned, this was something so unexpected, but it was still turning out to be extremely interesting and fun. Aizawa gave Yoichi a nod, before sighing in mild annoyance as they looked around carefully.

"I guess this version of me won't be doing any Hero work." Aizawa grumbled, before turning to Izuku." I hope you copy my Quirk, cause frankly I don't want to be completely useless in here."

"You wouldn't be useless, Aizawa-sensei." Izuku protested with a shake of their head." You probably have loads of information or advice to give, there are other ways to be useful then just being an active Hero."

His teacher chuckled, amusement clear in their black eyes.

"Alright, Problem Child, you've made your point." Aizawa said with a smirk." Now you will be having me in your head scolding you whenever you try and do something stupid and wreck-less."

Izuku face faulted at that, turning to his Brother with the most pained expression he could muster. Earning an amused look from them, he pouted.

"I change my mind, please get rid of them." Izuku dramatically begged, throwing his hands up in despair." I can't handle this, he's gonna torture me mentally for the rest of my life!"

Yoichi let out a bark of laughter, amusement in their green eyes.

"No can do, I quite enjoying having help annoying you." Yoichi teased and Izuku could only give them a pained expression." On another note however, it's almost time for you to wake and go to UA."

Izuku sighed, he was kinda sad he had to leave. However he knew he couldn't just stay in the void forever, no matter how much he wanted to. He said his goodbyes, the One For All users telling him that they would explain to Aizawa more about everything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Izuku walked into class with mischief on his mind, he wanted to see his class's reaction to the fact he now had Eraser.
The class went by fairly normally, then Kacchan activated his Quirk...or at least they tried too. Izuku's white hair began floating and his eyes were likely glowing red. Kacchan immediately turned to Aizawa only for the teacher to not even be looking at him, Izuku turned off the Quirk and pretended to do his own thing.
Kacchan tried to activate their Quirk again and yet again, Izuku turned it off through his bangs. This continued several times until finally Kacchan figured it out and sent a scathing glare towards him. Izuku just smiled, feeling oddly rebellious then he normally was.
"Deku, did you take Aizawa's Quirk?" Kacchan asked, oddly enough they weren't yelling or shouting at him. Izuku shrugged and nodded, watching as Kacchan opened his mouth to respond only pause go silent.
Then they turned away from him and restarted doing their work, surprising him and Yoichi who had decided to come to the surface of his mind again.
'That's certainly odd.' Yoichi commented idly, earning a mental hum of agreement from Izuku.
'Yeah, wonder if something happened.' Izuku stated with a frown, before shaking it off and focusing back onto the class.
'Hello?' Aizawa's voice echoed into his head, nearly causing Izuku to jump out of his skin in surprise.' Is this how you talk to Izuku?'
'Yup.' Hikage replied.' Your doing it right, just don't forget to hide your own thoughts...or there projected.'
'Do guys seriously need to do this while I am in the middle of a class?' Izuku asked in annoyance, only to earn laughs from most of the One For All users.' I'm not joking, if you continue I am going to call an exorcist and I'm not joking!'
'Ah, suddenly I feel uncontrollable fear.' Yoichi muttered sarcastically.' Honestly though, how can believe you? You might not be a broccoli anymore, but you are a cinnamon roll.'
'Yoichi, don't make me channel my inner All For One...' Izuku warned, hearing a scoff from the First user.
'Oh, you refuse to hurt a fly, literally.' Hikage stated, sounding amused by this conversation.
'You all seem to forget, I am literally a clone....' Izuku muttered, pouting slightly.' I can be scary when I want to be...'
There was silence for a moment, before Yoichi just laughed.
'The day you are scary, is the day All For One confesses his undying love for All Might and precedes to marry them soon after.' Yoichi said through the giggles. Izuku blinked at the odd choice in words, before shrugging.
'Looks like I am going to be planning a wedding soon.' Izuku declared and stood up, a mischievous grin on his face.
'Izuku...what are you going to do?' Nana asked warily, but was cut off my a mad laugh of glee.' Yoichi, can you please make them stop? This is weird...'
'I'm sorry, did you say something?' Yoichi asked, pretending not to have heard as they muttered about what kind of dress he should get his brother for their apparent wedding with the Number One hero.
'To be completely honest...I kinda ship it.' Second admitted reluctantly.' The idea of the Number One Villain and Number One Hero dating is actually kinda...romantic and poetic.'
'There is something seriously wrong with you guys.' Third muttered, clearly annoyed.' I shouldn't be the one telling you that Izuku is now pretending to jump of the roof...he won the deal though...he has scared literally everyone.'
They all paused, just as Izuku brought out black whip for the first time and saved their fall.
Chapter 11: Scolded
Chapter Text
'You know, I never thought you'd manifest Black Whip to save you from your own stupidity.' Daigorou stated, pinching the bridge of his nose.' Our Quirks are tools to help you become a Hero, not for you to go and jump off a building like that spider Hero that Yoichi talks about some times.'
Izuku gave a sheepish and slightly guilty expression towards the Fifth user, he hadn't meant to worry them as much as he did. He knew it had been a dumb idea, but he had just wanted to win the bet.
"I'm sorry, guys." Izuku muttered under his breath." I didn't mean to make you worry so much, I just got carried away. I promise not to do it again..."
The feelings of reassurance filled Izuku, making him smile slightly. It was nice to have a family with him at all times, he hoped he wouldn't ever be forced to give them up. A cough caught his attention, making him focus back towards Aizawa who was giving him a mild glare. It was clear the man wasn't happy about his stunt either, especially after finding out it was due to a bet.
He ducked his head guiltily and tried to appear as small as possible, it worked with his other teachers and even though he knew Aizawa cared, it was still possible they would be satisfied by the submissive gesture. Though it was clear the One For All users were worried, given the feelings he was getting from them.
"Do you have any idea of how close you were getting killed or permanently injured?" Aizawa questioned and Izuku flinched slightly.
"Yes sir, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused, sir." Izuku intoned, his mindset immediately retreating to it's Middle School mode. He knew that nothing would happen, but his learned behaviours when he was in trouble always bled through.
Aizawa frowned at him, clearly upset about the meekness he was showing. The black haired teacher knelt down in front of the chair so they were eye to eye with him, before placing a hand on his head. Izuku looked up, meeting his teachers coal black eyes and tensing.
"Problem child, I am not going to do anything, I am simply worried about you and the fact you clearly have no regard for your safety." Aizawa stated firmly but gently." You had absolutely no way of knowing Black Whip would activate. What would you have done if it didn't, you can't go doing stuff like that without thinking the consequences through."
Izuku nodded numbly, just starting to realize how much he had scared his family, friends, and teachers. He didn't like scaring them, all for some stupid bet that was not even serious in the first place.
"I'm sorry Aizawa-sensei." Izuku responded softly, tears beginning to well up in his eyes and he sent feelings of guilt and regret towards the One For All users as an apology as well.
Aizawa sighed, but stood back up with a brief nod, clearly accepting the apology.
"Just be more careful next time, problem child." Aizawa muttered, ducking their face behind their capture scarf slightly." I don't like the idea of losing a student, not when I was meant to protect them."
He talked with Aizawa for a few more minutes, before he was left alone. Inside his head he could feel the One For All users chatting, even if he couldn't make out what they were saying.
'My real self is right you know.' Aizawa's Vestige stated simply.' Since I am not the true Aizawa, at least not really...I will tell you a little secret. I think of you and all of Class-1A as my children and you all matter so much to me, I am simply worried about you and how far willing to go sometimes.'
Izuku gave a shaky smile, before wiping a few fresh tears out his eyes.
'Thank you, Aizawa.' Izuku said, his heart swelling slightly.' I think of you and Yagi-san as father figures as well.'
He suddenly got overwhelming feelings of surprise, pride, embarrassment, and joy come through One For All and it was very clear that Aizawa was happy with his response. Even if he knew they would never admit they had sent those feelings, it was probably an accident anyways. He knew that his teacher didn't like portraying emotions, much.
'Whatever, problem child.' Aizawa grumbled, clearly trying to play it off.
Izuku snickered, before standing up and stretching.
'I suppose I should get going, don't want to worry Mom.' Izuku said before making his way home to see the green haired woman.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Izuku honey, you got a letter from the the people who you requested a name change from." Inko called and Izuku ran over and tore the letter open and reading over it.

He had to write the name he wanted down on a special website, they will check it over and confirm...then he would have his new name. Now he had a dilemma, he hadn't chosen a name yet...he frowned. Before poking at One For All mentally, hoping to gain the attention of the users.

He felt Yoichi's presence peak, the curiosity flowing through One For All. For a moment he just held the letter in front of his eyes, rereading it for Yoichi's benefit and to give them some context for the question he wanted to ask next.

'Could you...maybe, choose my new name, Yoichi-Onii?' Izuku asked, feeling a tad bit self-conscious.' Your my only living blood relative, not including All For One....I would really appreciate it.'

'I...I would, l-love to...' Yoichi murmured, stammering slightly in surprise and clearly seeming moved by the question.

'Don't be to surprised, your my big brother!' Izuku said with a grin.' I think you are more then worthy of giving me a name.'

He heard a soft chuckle from the First user, as well a hiccup revealing the man was crying a little at the words he spoke. He knew they were crying happy tears though, after all his brother seemed to share his crying habit. Something he clearly hadn't inherited from All For One.

'H-How about, M-Mikumo?' Yoichi suggested and Izuku grinned widely, it was a interesting name and rolled of the tongue nicely. He sent feelings of approval towards the First user, relishing in the pride he felt coming back towards him.

Izu-Mikumo turned towards his mom, a wide smile on his face.

"I think I like the name, Mikumo." Mikumo admitted softly, earning a kind smile from Inko." Are you alright with that?"

"Of course, your my son and even if you were intended to be a replacement, you became so much more then that as you grew up." Inko said softly, holding his cheek with a teary smile." Don't ever forget how much I love you, Mikumo Midoriya...never."

Mikumo rushed into his moms arms, clinging to the green haired woman as if expecting her to disappear suddenly. Tears ran down his cheeks freely, but they were caused by relief and happiness. He was happy his mom didn't blame him for her sons death or replacement, he was happy because they still considered him a son even if they didn't share DNA.

'Kid, Third and I need to talk with you.' Second stated into his mind, making Mikumo blink in surprise.

'Ok, Second...' Mikumo replied softly, wondering what the Second user of One For All wanted to speak to him about, or what Third wanted to for that matter. He also felt confusion from all the other users, clearly they weren't aware of what the two soldiers wanted either.

He pulled out of the hug, giving a small yawn for an excuse to leave. He mentioned wanting to go to bed after all the excitement, before retreating into his room and laying down on the bed. Almost as soon as he closed his eyes, he was pulled into the void where the past users lived their afterlives.

"Hey guys!" Mikumo greeted with a grin." I almost got my name changed officially, but you can call me Mikumo so I can get used to it."

Daigorou grinned widely, smirking smugly at the other One For All users.

"He manifested Black Whip!" Daigorou gloated, turning to look at the Fourth user." Take that mr-he-will-manifest-my-Quirk-first-since-it's-a-passive-one!"

Hikage just stared at Daigorou, looking so done with their successor.

"Well, I am so glad your willing to rub that little detail in, Dai-kun." Hikage drawled giving the most unimpressed look." Do I need to revoke your kissing privileges, dear?"

Daigorou paled, before giving a small nervous chuckle.

"No, sir." Daigorou muttered under their breath." Sorry...sir."

Mikumo just snickered at the interaction, amused by the couple. One would think Daigorou would be the dominant one in the relationship, but it looks like that title went to Hikage and that was more then amusing to him. He turned towards Second and Third with a small smile, hoping what they wanted to discuss wasn't bad.

"So, you wanted to talk?" Izuku asked, giving a nervous glance to Third and then back to Second.

"We did, please follow us away from the others." Second stated simply." We want to talk to you in private, it's important...and personal."

Izuku hesitated, before deciding that it would be fine. He knew that the two cared about him, they wouldn't hurt him. Though the thought did cross his mind, which made him feel a little ashamed.

Chapter 12: Family

Chapter Text

Mikumo hesitated for a moment longer, before following the two away from the other Vestiges. Once they were out of hearing range, the two users paused and turned towards Mikumo with unreadable expressions. Second's red eyes holding an emotion that he was having trouble with identifying, Third's black eyes showed a similar if not the same emotion.

He waited patiently for one of the two to speak, shuffling nervously at what it was they wanted to talk about. Eventually Second let out a small sigh, before sharing a meaningful nod with Third.

"We've had a long talk with each other, as well as with Yoichi." Second began slowly, before for the first time they gave him a small smile.

"We are going to give you our names." Third added and Mikumo blinked in surprise, knowing that was the one thing the users never gave anyone. Not even Hikage knew their predecessors name.

He was overwhelmed, but these two were his brother-in-laws. They might not be his blood brothers, but they were still family and he felt his heart speed up happily they were finally accepting him. He knew they had cared about him, but caring and accepting were two different things.

"T-Thank you..." Mikumo murmured softly, his red eyes looking down at his feet.

"I'm Moeta Bakugou." Sec-Moeta introduced and Mikumo's head snapped up in shock, that was Kacchan's last name." Yes I am related to that kid, most likely my brothers grandson times however many generations."

Mikumo nodded in acceptance, before slowly turned to the Third user and swallowing. They gave him a small, barely noticable smile.

"Sokka...my last name doesn't matter anymore." Sokka stated, looking a little sad at the last part of their sentence. Mikumo frowned, before doing something that would normally be bad to do to soldiers. With a single step forward to close the distance, he wrapped Sokka into a hug and closed his eyes.

He felt the man stiffen, but after a minute they relaxed and hugged back. He smiled happy he was was able to give Sokka comfort, they likely didn't get much during their fight against All For One.

"I'm sorry for whatever you had to go through, during the Quirk Wars....but thank you for fighting for the world I have today." Mikumo said, making sure they knew how genuine he was." Thank you, Sokka Midoriya and Moeta Bakugou..."

Mikumo heard a small gasp, he smiled knowing they realized he had given Sokka his own family name. He hoped this could help his family member overcome their past, whatever it had been originally. A second pair of arms wrapped around him, making him look up to see Moeta had joined in on the hug.

Sokka and Moeta's eyes were closed, indicating they felt safe and it made Mikumo overjoyed and proud of himself.

For a few minute's the three of them just stayed in the same position, before Moeta pulled away and was soon followed by Sokka. Both of them giving him a soft smile, making him feel like he had definitely done something right.

"Thanks kid, I think we needed to hear that." Sokka whispered, before looking over to the side and Mikumo turned to see his big brother standing there with a smile on their face.

Mikumo grinned, before running over and giving Yoichi a tackle hug.

"Yoichi-Onii, the trust me...they really do!" Mikumo whispered over and over, tears of happiness flowing down his cheeks.

"Of course they do...your their little brother in all but blood." Yoichi murmured in return and Mikumo just sighed, content in the moment he was currently in. Mikumo pulled back from his hug, before turning towards Sokka and Moeta. His smile wide and he gave them a nod, before turning back towards the First user.

"I'm gonna go talk with Aizawa...." Mikumo decided, before sending his big brother a wide smile.

Yoichi just nodded in return and Mikumo ran off, feeling lighter then he had in a while. He held a secret that only his big brother was in on, but now he was trusted with it and it made him feel wonderful.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mikumo walked into class once more, a skip in his step and a wide smile plastered on his face. It felt nice to finally have his own identity, he felt sad that his brother he'd never meet died in childbirth...but at least he had his own name now. He wasn't a replacement and that was more then enough for him, plus he was placed in a kind home.
He knew that there was a chance that might not have been the case, but he had his mom and she didn't think any less of him. Once he sat down, he pulled his essentials out of his bag.
"Hey, Deku-kun!" Ochaco called and Mikumo gave his friend a smile." How are you today?"
"Hello Ochaco-chan, I am doing alright...I was finally able to change my name." Mikumo admitted with a smile." Um, my names Mikumo Midoriya now...."
Ochaco's eyes widened and she gave him a beaming smile, making him glad the girl was his friend.
"That's wonderful, Deku-kun!" Ochaco exclaimed." It's a really nice name, I like it!"
Mikumo felt Yoichi's pride spike inside One For All at the compliment, making him suppress a small smile. His big brother was clearly pleased that people like their naming skills, something that amused Mikumo to no end.
"Thanks Ochaco-chan." Mikumo responded, before giving a small smile." Although, it was actually a family member that named me...."
"That's really sweet, what's their name?" Ochaco asked curiously and Mikumo decided it shouldn't hurt to tell them, it wasn't the most uncommon name in existence.
"Um, Yoichi Midoriya...that's their name." Mikumo said and felt a fondness flow through One For All.
Before Ochaco could respond however, Aizawa walked into the classroom and immediately everyone fell silent and turned towards the teacher. Mikumo was always amused with their teachers dramatics, even without Eraser to highlight it.
'I am not dramatic.' Aizawa grumbled inside his head, making Mikumo smirk slightly.
'Sure, whatever you say Aizawa-kun.' Mikumo replied, adding on the honorfic so he'd be able to remember which Aizawa was which.
The vestige of his teacher just grumbled, before retreating back into One For All.
"Alright class, this terms Final Exams are coming up and-" Aizawa started and Mikumo listened as his teacher spoke, excitement rising inside him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Damn, I hope I pass." Ochaco mumbled sounding worried, making Mikumo give his friend a reassuring smile.

"You'll do fine, Ochaco-chan." Mikumo stated firmly, before pausing." Um, I am going to go talk to Shinsou-kun and Toga-chan for a bit, if that's alright."

"Of course!" Ochaco said with a smile." Their your friends too! I don't mind, plus...me and Tsuyu-chan were going to talk about strategies that have to do with our Quirks."

Mikumo just nodded and walked away, wondering if Shinsou was out of his class yet and whether Toga was around. He hadn't been completely honest about what he wanted to do, but he wanted some time with All Might. He would only admit this to himself, but he kinda thought of the man as a dad...along with Aizawa.

He walked towards the room he knew that All Might enjoyed hanging around in, it was a small room with a few books and was relatively quiet. If they weren't busy, then he could almost guarantee they would be there.

Once he arrived he gave the door a soft knock, waiting for a moment and grinning when he saw All Might peak their head out after opening the door.

"Hello Yagi-san!" Mikumo greeted happily." Guess what! I got my new name!"

"Ah, young Midoriya...that's wonderful!" All Might replied with a fond smile, stepping back and allowing him to enter." May I ask what your new name is?"

"Mikumo!" Mikumo declared with a smile." Mikumo Midoriya."

All Might smiled, looking happy and let out a small chuckle.

"That's a wonderful name, my boy!" All Might said and Mikumo beamed happily." Would you like some cookies, I bought some earlier."

Mikumo glanced beyond All Might to the container on the coffee table inside, before turning back to them and giving a nod.

"I'd like that, Yagi-san." Mikumo admitted softly, making All Might smiled gently.

They both walked over to the couch and Mikumo sat down across from his blonde father figure and wondered if he should tell them about...him seeing them as a father figure.

"How have you been, my boy?" All Might asked and Mikumo thought for a moment, before giving them a smile.

"Good, Second and Third told me their names...but I can't tell you, I am the only one other then Yoichi-Onii that knows and I won't betray my brother-in-laws." Mikumo stated firmly and All Might chuckled.

"I wouldn't ever ask you to do something you or you family was uncomfortable with, I promise young Midoriya." All Might responded with a smile, making Mikumo's eyes water slightly.

This was one of the reasons he loved All Might, they were one of the most genuine Heroes he'd ever heard of or seen before. Plus they didn't think any less of him, even after finding out he was a clone of their worst enemy. It made him happy and also safer around them, they had finally broken down the walls surrounding his fear of adults.

He could honestly say, he trusted All Might with his life.

Chapter Text

"Um, Midoriya...could I talk to you for a second?" Shinsou asked carefully, making Mikumo glance up from where he was eating lunch.

"Sure thing, Shinsou-kun!" Mikumo chirped, patting the chair next to him and the lavender haired teen sat down, looking nervously anywhere but at him. He wondered what the teen wanted to ask, but he decided to let them say what they wanted at their own pace.

For a few minutes Mikumo waited patiently, continuing to eat his lunch as Shinsou worked up the courage to say what they wanted. Eventually they took a deep breath, before turning towards him their ears tinted pink. Mikumo paused his lunch once more, making sure his attention was completely on the other teen.

"I wanted to know...if perhaps when your not busy...if you'd maybe, kinda go on a date with me?" Shinsou asked, practically squeaking near the end and Mikumo's eyes widened considerably.

'Nana, Yoichi-Onii...what do I say?!' Mikumo asked his Quirk family desperately.

'Say yes, you've been crushing on that boy since the Sport's Festival.' Nana urged gently.' If it doesn't work out, at least you tried and can move on. There is nothing wrong with testing the waters of a relationship, it might do you some good.'

With a deep breath, Mikumo built his courage up and smiled warmly at Shinsou.

"I would love to, Shinsou-kun!" Mikumo chirped happily." Um, do you have a outing planned or do you want to make one together?"

"Um, to be completely honest...I didn't think I would get this far." Shinsou admitted sheepishly, cheeks tinted pink as they ran their hand through their lavender hair." I suppose we can plan it together, if you want..."

"Of course!" Mikumo said and for the next several minutes they discussed places that would be good for a first date, trying to incorporate their shared interests.

Mikumo however was torn, he liked Shinsou...but he also liked Toga and wanted to try a relationship with them as well. However he wasn't sure if Shinsou was someone who would be willing to be in a poly relationship, if they weren't then he would just try ignore the crush he had on Toga.

"Is something wrong Midoriya?" Shinsou asked, giving him a small worried frown.

"Oh, you can call me Mikumo!" Mikumo said with a smile." Since we are going on a date! I don't really know...I like you a lot Shinsou, but I also like Toga a lot..."

Shinsou hummed softly, looking at the far wall absently as if thinking and Mikumo wondered what they were thinking about. It was really awkward mentioning that he liked two people, especially to one of the two he actually liked.

"I'd be open to sharing, I suppose." Shinsou muttered eventually, rubbing the back of their neck and giving Mikumo and nervous smile." I just don't want to be thrown to the side for someone else, if we compromise and organize our three way relationship then I don't see anything wrong with it...although it will definitely need a lot of communication and trust for all three of us..."

"Really?" Mikumo asked looking at his friend...or was it boyfriend...in surprise." Well, let's focus on our first date, then we can talk about it some more later. Can I call you...Hitoshi, since we're together now?"

Mikumo hated the way his voice squeaked a little at the end of his question, but Shinsou just smirked slightly in amusement.

"Sure, Mikumo." Shinsou agreed, making him let out a small breath of relief that he hadn't messed things up." Now, I suppose we both need to get to our respective classes, see ya around Mikumo-kun."

He watched as the lavender haired teen walked away, feeling his heart skip a beat at the honorfic they used. It filled him with joy knowing that they actually liked him and were willing to take him on a date, not to mention being open to adding Toga into their relationship.

'I remember how awkward it was for me too.' Yoichi grumbled in his head, making Mikumo giggle slightly.' I was head over heels for Second and Third from the moment they rescued me from that Vault, I was a literal mess.'

'So your telling me, I got the bad at starting romantic relationships gene from you?' Mikumo teased his big brother, smirking slightly at the squawk he got from Yoichi...as well as the laughter from the other One For All users.

'You little...' Yoichi growled out in mock anger.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mikumo sat down, fiddling with a pencil as he looked over a few of the notes he had written down about his All For One Quirk. He wanted to practice it more, but he was also wary of doing so as Yoichi had stated that practising with All For One was what made their brother go further insane.
Although he was skeptical that the Quirk had any real influence on All For One's mental state and it was likely the Quirk only gave them the tools necessary to act on that bad mental state, which they hadn't been able to do as easily before the Quirk came in.
'Your thinking rather loudly, Problem Child.' Aizawa-kun's voice cut into his mind, making Mikumo blink in surprise. He often forgot that his teachers Vestige was inside One For All, despite them talk fairly often inside the void.
'Sorry Aizawa-kun, I am just theorizing and trying to understand the mechanics of All For One...since I'm stuck with it for the rest of my life.' Mikumo replied apologetically, making Aizawa-kun sigh.
'True, but you weren't thinking about the Quirk All For One...you were thinking about the person and you know it.' Aizawa-kun stated and Mikumo winced slightly, knowing that the man had caught him red handed.
'My mind...drifted.' Mikumo admitted, feeling mildly guilty for letting it do so.
'Kid, are you still worried your gonna turn out like that man?' Moeta's voice entered his mind and Mikumo bit his lip, before reluctantly sending waves of confirmation through the Quirk.
'You don't have to worry about that, Nine.' Sokka's voice spoke up, giving feelings of concern and stability.' Your nothing like them, the only thing you share is your appearance and who knows if you'll even look identical when your grow up?'
Mikumo felt tears welling up in his eyes once more, even the second and third users were telling him he wasn't like the man who made him.
'Listen to your brother-in-laws, Problem Child.' Aizawa-kun's voice piped in once more.' I think they have the right to tell you if your anything like the man who killed them or not, in fact most of the people inside your Quirk have more knowledge on what All For One is like then you do.'
'Ok, thanks guys.' Mikumo mumbled, feeling mildly embarrassed by the support.
He always underestimated how lucky he was, what if he didn't have the support he had with his friends, family, and now Shinsou and Toga? Would he have started turning into the man who created him...or would he have still been a Hero?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Doctor, would you like to explain to me why I just got intel that I have a clone inside UA and was not told?" All For One snarled out, glaring at the cowering man in front of him." Not only that, but you even used a memory Quirk you had stored to make it appear like I did it? I would never clone myself, what do you have to say for yourself?!"

"You liked Tomura so much, I was just trying to get you a body that was appropriate enough that you wouldn't have to destroy Tomura!" The Doctor said, their voice wavering slightly with fear.

All For One now had a dilemma, any clone of himself would be powerful and might even grow as powerful as himself. The Doctor had created something that they couldn't be expected to control, he just needed to know who the clone was. What their name is and everything about them, down to their favourite color.

"What's the boy's name?" All For One snarled and the Doctor flinched.

"Their name was Izuku Midoriya...but they changed it to Mikumo Midoriya." the Doctor whimpered." Please don't hurt me!"

All For One's red eyes glinted darkly, before he used his hand to life the trembling Doctor's chin slightly.

"Oh, but you've done something I don't like, so you need to be punished for that." All For One purred out." Don't worry, once your punishment ends...I might be generous enough to allow you to die."

"No!" the Doctor screamed as All For One began torturing them with a passion, laughing the entire time.

OMAKE - SINCE THIS CHAPTER WAS SHORTER THEN NORMAL

"I suddenly got the urge to cheer on All For One." Yoichi muttered that night in the void and Mikumo stared at his older brother nervously.

"Your not gonna start...going evil, are you?" Mikumo asked warily, manifesting a gun from the void and pointing it at his older brother." Cause I don't think your....husbands would like that very much..."

"What?!" Yoichi exclaimed in horror." I would never go evil!"

Moeta and Sokka exchanged glances, a look of skepticism on their faces.

"What about the time you tortured a goldfish for hours, laughing like you were mentally deranged?" Moeta asked casually, crossing their arms across their chest.

"Or the time where you kept begging me to run over old ladies while I was driving." Sokka added, raising an eyebrow and Yoichi rolled their eyes.

"The Goldfish had it coming....and the old ladies were already gonna die in a few years, so why not make a game out of it?" Yoichi shouted, throwing their hands up in the air, clearly annoyed.

"What the actual fuck..." Mikumo whispered as he stared at his older brother and brother-in-laws who were now arguing.

Chapter Text

Mikumo yawned, his eyes drooping as he tried to stay awake. He had spent the entire night awake and was now paying for that, which Yoichi thought was both concerning and amusing.

'Problem Child, get some sleep.' Aizawa-kun ordered, concern flowing through One For All.' I know better then most, what it's like to not get enough sleep and it's not fun...'

He wanted to listen, but considering how late he was to class he couldn't afford to take a nap at the moment. Clearly the vestige of his teacher realized he wasn't going to listen if the way they grumbled was any indication. It wasn't like he didn't want to listen, but he had classes to get too and couldn't afford to not go.

'Mikumo, please...your teacher will understand why you didn't come to class.' Yoichi urged gently.' Your health is much more important then one class, if you want you can come into the void and talk with us while your body rests.'

Mikumo sighed, before pushing down the feeling of guilt due to not getting to class. He stood up and made his way yo his bed, laying on it and almost instantly as his head hit the pillow he fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself in the void and immediately ran over and gave his brother a hug. He wished he could hug them when he was awake as well, but it wasn't possible due to them being dead. It wasn't possible for any of them, other then All Might and Aizawa. Since those two were still alive currently, which he was relieved about as he didn't want them to die anytime soon.

Yoichi shoved him off gently, grumbling about hug obsessed brothers and Mikumo just rolled his eyes. Apparently All For One was also hug obsessed, which did absolutely nothing to calm his nerves over how similar he was to them.

"Yoichi-Onii, why!" Mikumo whined, before pouting and mock stomping over to Aizawa-kun who just rolled their eyes at him slightly. His older brother just sighed, smiling almost fondly towards him and turning towards the others inside the void.

"You'll live, Mikumo." Yoichi reassured with a smirk." Now would you like to hang out with us, I am sure we could conjure something to play with inside the void and you can pick if you really want to."

Mikumo's eyes lit up as he though of a few things he could play, before deciding on truth or dare. Noticing how some of the others winced slightly at that, clearly they have played it before and it had ended with...interesting results.

Oh well, now they could play it again and Mikumo had so many ideas for what to make his brother and the others do!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All For One stared at the Doctor who was tied to a chair in front of him, bleeding out slowly and surely. This was the fifteenth time he's done this, tortured them to the brink of death, bled them out, before using a healing Quirk to put them back together. Yet his fury of the entire situation had subsided, he had a clone that likely had his Quirk and they had become a Hero brat.
His research into the whole situation had him grinding his teeth, cloning wasn't a line he had ever crossed for multiple reasons. Clones while being genetically identical to a person, were not mentally identical and would often develop personalities that the original didn't have.
This meant that unless someone replicated the original persons life to a tee, the clone would inevitably become their own person.
It's why they aren't suitable hosts, why he never went down that route and why he was so angry with the Doctor. Growls escaped his throat, staring at the bloody man in front of him before turning and walking away. He had his fun with them, if they died then so be it...he had a clone to fetch.
Perhaps if he was lucky, they would be similar to Yoichi. The thought did send a thrill of hope and excitement through him, the idea of having someone who was near identical to his sweet little brother. It was almost to good to be true, if they happened to have red eyes...well he could just use a appearance changing Quirk to turn them to the same shade of green as Yoichi had and same with the potentially curly hair.
He walked into the main area of the base, Tomura was playing a game on their phone and he gave a small cough to gain their attention.
"Ah, Tomura...we will be having a guest in a bit, likely a couple of months." All For One drawled out." They are to be your little brother, so make sure to treat them with kindness and respect. They have had quite a rough time, being brutally brainwashed by the Heroes and forced to do what All Might wanted."
Tomura's eyes widened in surprise, placing his phone down carefully as to not dust it. Their expression one of concern, mild fear, and anxiousness.
"I have a little brother?" Tomura questioned, making All For One internally smirk.
He knew that Tomura had unresolved trauma with the death of their first family, perhaps he could nourish it so they would treat Mikumo like he would have Yoichi, since that was the proper way to care for younger siblings after all.
"You do, their name is Mikumo Shigaraki...but their fake name is Mikumo Midoriya." All For One stated, before sighing." Unfortunately they are that brat you had been complaining about at USJ, however recently in came to my knowledge they were related to me and as such they are your brother."
Tomura's face went from shocked, angry, confused, and finally settled on curious.
"How old are they?" Tomura asked, making All For One cackle inside as he won the game that Tomura had unknowingly been playing.
"Fifteen, almost sixteen." All For One said, giving a soft tone as to seem concerned for his clone." The poor boy has been horribly mistreated by the Heroes, he doesn't even realize that's the case as he has developed Stockholm Syndrome."
The pale blue teen leapt to their feet, red eyes blown wide open in horror.
"We have to rescue him, now!" Tomura exclaimed and All For One raised a hand, silencing the teen." We are going to rescue them, right?"
"We are, but we need to wait for the right moment." All For One murmured in mock sadness, before smiling." However for now you should prepare for the rescue mission, it might not be long before we are able to rescue your little brother."
Tomura nodded, before rushing off to no doubt speed their League business up.
He just smirked, happy with the outcome of the conversation. Tomura was extremely easy to manipulate, but he had a feeling that Mikumo wouldn't be the same way at all. The boy had been raised without the correct influences, not to mention both he and Yoichi had been stubborn to a fault.
Which likely meant that Mikumo would be as well, but no matter, soon he'd have his little brother back in all but technicality. This might have ended up much better then he could have hoped for, he just hoped the Doctor hadn't messed anything up during the entire cloning process.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mikumo froze for a split second, a feeling of dread encompassing him.

However it wasn't Danger Sense, so he didn't know what to make of it. Not to mention he was still in the void with the others, he shouldn't be getting feelings of dread like this. He wasn't in the physical realm, he was for all intents and purposes inside his own soul. Souls didn't have connections to the outside, meaning not even Danger Sense would pick anything up from out in the real world.

Not unless he was a true Vestige, which he wasn't.

"Somethings wrong." Mikumo muttered under his breath, placing his UNO cards down and taking slow deep breaths in and out." Somethings really, really wrong...I don't know what it is and it's not Danger Sense....I don't know what's happening."

Yoichi was by his side in an instant, a look of concern in their green eyes as they gave him a small hug. Their hands rubbing his back slowly, but the feeling of dread continued to grow as the seconds passed.

Suddenly flashes of images began to rush through his mind, they were of a man that looked suspiciously like his old Quirk Doctor, being tortured. He couldn't see who was torturing the man, since the vision seemed to be from the first person point of view. It made it seem like he was the one doing those things, he watched as they tortured, bled out, and healed the man.

By the time the images stopped, Mikumo was in near hysterics and was pulling at his hair with wide red eyes and tears streaming down his cheeks.

There was so much blood, the screams had pierced into his soul, and the laughter escaping from him in the vision had been horrible. Yoichi tried to comfort him, but he just pushed his older brother away in a panic. He didn't want to hurt anyone, what if it was him that was doing those things...what if this was a warning of the future and he was going to turn into some sort of monster.

"I killed someone, no, no, no, no, NO!" Mikumo screamed, pulling almost painfully at his hair as he kept his eyes screwed shut." So much blood, there was so much of it...I tortured someone, oh god...what have I done?!"

The others inside the void exchanged helpless looks, even Aizawa-kun not knowing what to do in this kind of situation. Yoichi was most worried though, having to visibly restrain themselves from touch Mikumo in case it sent them into further panic.

Just what happened to him, was the question on everyone's minds.

Chapter 15: Shared Mind

Chapter Text

Yoichi stared at the frozen, trembling, and petrified form of his new little brother, his heart squeezing painfully in his chest. He didn't know what was going on, he couldn't fix what he didn't know, all he knew was that Mikumo thought he killed someone. Was this his older brother's doing, if so, how did his brother even do this?

As far as he knew, All For One wasn't anywhere near this location and even with all of his power, Quirks had their limits.

He just held his brother in his arms, feeling helpless as they kept screaming about having killed someone. He knew Mikumo hadn't though, he has been in the void the entire time, even when he was awake Yoichi could see what Mikumo could and there had been no point where Mikumo could have killed someone.

Suddenly Mikumo froze before his entire body relaxed and he began blinking in mild confusion as if just realizing where he was, shit, that was not a good sign. It meant that Mikumo's mind might have gone through a split or at the very least he might have gotten trauma-triggered amnesia, that or something else happened that he could even begin to understand.

"Yoichi?" Mikumo questioned and he just held his brother close, giving a hum of acknowledgment." I think...I think my mind is connected to All For One's, I can hear his thoughts and I'm getting flashes of his memories and it's painful."

Yoichi's heart dropped at that, the thing that made Mikumo different than All For One was that he'd been raised in a completely different environment than his older brother had been. What would happen if Mikumo began remembering All For One's childhood and early life? Would he start to become more like his older brother, he was terrified to imagine how that would potentially end.

"It's ok, Otouto, I'm here and I'll help you get through this," Yoichi whispered as he pressed a kiss to the top of his little brother's head.

Mikumo just clutched him tightly, burrowing his face into his shirt and Yoichi turned to look at the others who had crowded around with concerned expressions, clearly worried about their ninth user and family member. Moeta's eyes were narrowed though, making Yoichi uneasy as he recognized suspicion in the man's gaze, he hoped that he wasn't going to reject Mikumo just because he might gain his brother's memories. There was no guarantee that Mikumo would turn out like All For One, at least he hoped to god that there wasn't anything to worry about.

"We need to get the kid professional help, he might become unstable if he's allowed to try and handle this alone." Moeta stated eventually before he turned to look to the side with a frown that made Yoichi's heartache." The kid's like my own brother, considering he's my husband's brother, I refuse to allow what happened to All For One to happen to Mikumo. I refuse to lose another person I care about, he needs to see Hound Dog or another person to sort through his memories and help him cope with everything he'll learn or see within these new memories."

Yoichi felt his heart soar at Moeta's words, relief filling him as he realized that the man hadn't given up on Mikumo, he was just terrified that he was going to lose him. Which was exactly how he himself felt, he turned to Mikumo who was giving Moeta a tearful look. He could tell how much this meant to his little brother, that even Moeta was willing to stand by him.

"I'll let Aizawa-sensei know when I wake up," Mikumo said with a sniffle, earning a rare gentle look from Moeta who nodded.

"You better, Problem Child." Aizawa-kun growled, making Mikumo wince and Yoichi snickered in mild amusement." I swear, if you think I'll just stay quiet about it if you don't bring it up with the real me, then you are sorely mistaken."

"U-Understood, Aizawa-kun!" Mikumo yelped, shuffling further away from his clearly annoyed teacher-turned-Vestige.

Yoichi just smiled, glad that whatever was wrong with Mikumo was ok, for now at least, as long as his little brother listened to their advice, it would be ok. He hoped at least.

When Mikumo entered the class that day, he immediately went to his teacher, nervous about what Aizawa would think about this whole thing. He hoped his teacher wouldn't just think he was turning into that horrible man, it would feel horrible to lose someone he trusted so much.

"Aizawa-sensei?" Mikumo spoke and the teacher turned to him questioningly." I need to speak to you in private about something important, it shouldn't take long."

He watched Aizawa narrow his eyes before he nodded and followed Mikumo out into the hallway, his heart raced as he prepared to tell his teacher what he'd gone through earlier the same day. He could still remember the pure glee that All For One had felt while torturing the man who'd created him, it made him feel good, and that was going to have to be something he got checked out as soon as possible.

"What is it, Problem Child?" Aizawa questioned, making Mikumo wince.

"I gained some of All For One's most recent memories last night, I think I should start to see Hound Dog or someone else about this." Mikumo admitted, feeling awkward." I don't want to turn out like him, I want to help people not hurt them, but it felt so nice when All For One had tortured that man and I need to get that feeling out of me."

Aizawa's face fell into a concerned frown, his eyes showing clear as day the fear he felt for him, and Mikumo just wanted him to be happy for once, instead of always worrying about him and his other classmates. Putting all of this on Aizawa was not healthy, but he had to tell him, because Aizawa was one of the few people he trusted more than anything, at least out of the living people he knew.

"I'll set up an appointment, Problem Child." Aizawa reassured." For now, just tell me if anything about your situation changes in the next little bit, ok?"

"Ok, Aizawa-sensei." Mikumo nodded before he and his teacher walked back into the class getting curious looks from nearly everyone, making him feel as if he was being put under the microscope and being analyzed for every little movement he gave.

He moved to sit down at his desk.

Mikumo swallowed as he stared at the desk in front of him, Hound Dog on the other side waiting to hear his problem. How was he supposed to confess that he'd felt what it was like to end a life, enjoyed that feeling, and laughed at that man's pain as his counterpart tortured him? He knew he couldn't keep it to himself, but doing this just made him feel sick to his stomach.

"I had a vision last night and I think I might be mentally connected to All For One, not just genetically because I watched him torture and kill a man in front of him from the first person point of view." Mikumo admitted, taking a deep breath." The worst part was the feeling of happiness, satisfaction, and enjoyment I had gotten out of the experience. It scares me, what might happen if I fall into another vision, scares me what I'll slowly be more willing to do if I keep getting positive feelings in regards to the things my counterpart does."

Hound Dog frown, his expression revealing alarmed concern.

"That's a serious situation you've found yourself in, Midoriya." Hound Dog said slowly." Normally I would recommend you to a psych-ward, but being that there is an outside interference causing this, it's not going to go over well. The best thing is for you to see me after school every day and let me know what you see, we can sort out your emotions from All For One's and hopefully it will help."

Mikumo nodded, that made sense, at least as much as anything else did right now.

"Ok, is there anything else you wish me to do?" Mikumo asked and Hound Dog wrote something down, handing it to him.

"Give this to Recovery Girl, it's a medication prescription that should prevent the effects of mental-related Quirks and even if your visions aren't created by that, the side effects should dwindle." Hound Dog stated and Mikumo gave the Hero a relieved smile, giving a sharp nod in return to the orders.

"Got it." Mikumo nodded, putting it in his pocket, and made a mental note to see Recovery Girl before the day was over." Thanks for the help, Hound Dog."

"No problem, Midoriya." Hound Dog replied, before standing up and making his way to his desk to go over paperwork likely, leaving Mikumo to exit the room and begin the short walk to the train station.

He hoped his being late didn't worry his mom too badly, that was the last thing he needed on his plate now after all he'd discovered in the past week or so. He hadn't thought it was possible to hate someone even more, but All For One kept proving to be very persistent in gaining his anger.

Chapter 16: Author's Note

Chapter Text

I need to put this story On Hold for the time being, I want to focus on some of my other stories, but don't worry, this will not be discontinued. I just realized my own stupidity in posting so many stories while I haven't actually finished my previous ones, so it might be a few months before an update, but don't lose faith as this will be continuing!
