Chapter Text
It was meant to be a happy day, the day a child develops their quirk. But it didn't feel happy. Izuku sat in a hospital room. He had been sent there after the attack, now an orphan. His father had died before he had been born, and now his mother was gone too. He just sat quietly crying.
“Midoriya Izuku.” He looked up. In front of him was a doctor and a man dressed in a very formal suit. He wiped away his tears. “Y-yes?” He answered. “You will be coming with us.” The man gestured for him to follow, so he did. As they left the hospital, he was led to a black car. “W-whats g-going on?” He tried to ask, but he never really got an answer.
“Do you like heroes?” Izuku looked up at one of the men, who asked the question. “Y-yes.” The men just nooded, so he turned to look out the car window. The car stopped, and he was let out. He found himself at a large building. He looked up at it in wonder. “Come with us. Stay by our side.”
He followed closely as the men took him through the building. He kept up as well as possible, looking around in wonder. Eventually, they stopped at a room. The men opened the door and told him to go in. Inside was a nice-looking room. On a couch was a boy and on another couch opposite him sat a woman. The boy looked around, maybe ten or eleven. He had scruffy, dirty blond hair and bright red wings. The boy turned to look at Izuku as he entered. The woman told Izuku to sit down next to the boy, who seemed to be called Hawks.
“Hawks I would like you to meet Pyromancer. He will be joining you in training.” The woman introduced him to Hawks with a different name, but he knew that she was talking about him. He opened his mouth to say that that was not his name when the woman put up a hand to stop him. “That is now your code name. It is how you will be addressed and introduced.” He gave a nod. “Now here you will be trained to be a hero. Welcome to the Paragon Program.”
_____
“So what is your true name?” Izuku looked up at Hawks. “But Madam President said that Pyromancer was my new name.” Hawks just gave an eye roll. “Yeah but as long as you call me Hawks and I call you Pyromancer around them, they really don't care. I'm Keigo.” Keigo held out his hand for Izuku to shake, which he did. “Izuku.”
“Well Izuku, be ready for several long years of training.” Keigo gave him a thumbs up and a smile.

At least they had gotten some of his things from his home. His new room was larger than his old one. He had a nice bed in one corner, it had a simple white bed sheet and on the end was a bag and a small box labeled Pyromancer. Next to the bed against the wall is a desk. It had a laptop on it as well as a small bookshelf. On the right of the door is a wardrobe. He also was given his own bathroom with a shower. His whole room was opposite Keigo's room.
The people told him he could decorate his room how he wanted, but it had to be neat. He was given a schedule that was put on the back of his door. It was strict, and he was not allowed to be late.
It was going to be a long next few years.
