Chapter Text
I have been watching you, My Queen,
I will claim you,
I will make you feel superior,
Until those people who insult you will bow down to you,
Just wait for me,
I will come, My Queen,
Just wait for me…
Sunoo gasps, sore panda eyes wide open meeting with the slightly worn-out white ceiling. He pants heavily, sweats form on his forehead when he finally wakes up from his nightmare. “Those words again,” He whispers under his breath, lifting himself up and leans his back on the headboard. Sunoo sighs deeply, lifting his covers up and slides into his worn-out slippers. He yawns sleepily, scratching his neck as he walks out from his room. Checking on his brothers and he smiles when those two youngsters are sleeping peacefully. He closes the door gently, face facing the door when he felt something eyeing him in the dark. He bits his bottom lips, letting go of the doorknob and peeks at the corner of the hall. Quickly looking away from it when there’s nothing but dark corners.
He sighs, making himself to the kitchen for a glass of cold water. Pouring the water carefully into the glass and gulps it in one go. His small hairs suddenly stand up when he felt something behind him. He roughly bits his bottom lips, bracing himself to take a look at it. He spins, peeking with his one eye and nothing.
“Fucking hell,” Sunoo curses under his breath, rubbing his arms and quickly heads back to his room. Locking it for safety reasons, he sighs again, lifting the covers and cover his petite body. Shivering slightly at the eerie sounds that he heard.
“Sleep, Sunoo. Tomorrow will be a long day.”
“Hyung! We’re ready to go to school!”
Sunoo jolts from his sleep, eyes widening in shock when his eyes landed on the clock. “Shit, I’m late again!” He groans, dashing out from his bed until to the living room where his brothers are currently tying their shoes.
“Jungwon ah, Riki ah,”
Both of the youngsters look up to their oldest brother, sending their bright smiles making Sunoo smile along. “I’m sorry, I didn’t make breakfast for you, I overslept—”
“It’s okay, Sunoo hyung. Me and Riki made something simple enough for our lunch,” Ten years old, Jungwon happily shows his tupperware filled with sandwiches which made their youngest brother eight years old, Riki follow his hyung’s moves. Sunoo sniffles go unnoticed, dropping on his knees and pulls his brothers into a bear hug with Riki on his right shoulder while Jungwon on his left shoulder. “My brothers are all grown up,” He jokes, pecking their foreheads earning giggles from both of the youngsters. He smiles again, replying to Riki’s hand sign which shown ‘I love you, hyung’.
“I love you too, Riki ah and you too, Jungwon ah.” He smiles, hugging them once again and waves them goodbye. “Be careful on the road! Jungwon ah, take care of Riki!”
“Okay, hyung!” Jungwon waves happily and Riki sends him a cute ‘okay’ hand sign making Sunoo replies it with a giggle. Sunoo makes sure his brothers are safe until their shadows disappeared from his sight. He huffs deeply, closing the door and lock it. He cracks his fingers, glancing at the clock and let out another…
“SHIT!”
“This is your third time, Kim Sunoo! If you don’t want to work here just write a letter and hand it to the boss!”
Sunoo hangs his head low, hands trembling in front of him while his manager let out his anger on him. “You’re lucky boss likes your work and you’re lucky I still didn’t complain about you to him or not you are fired ever since the first time you came late to work!”
Sunoo shuts his eyes, head still hangs low as his manager keeps shouting at him. “I-I’m sorry, Manager-nim. I d-didn’t do I-it on purpose. Something makes me wake up all night—”
“Tell that to your therapist! I don’t want to hear any excuses. This is your last chance or you’re out of here, got it?”
Sunoo nods his head furiously, bowing and bowing until his manager left him alone in the staff’s room. Sunoo sighs deeply, taking a sit on the bench with his hands covering his face. He groans tiredly, leaning his head on the wall while trying to gain his energy. “I need to focus,” He mutters under his breath, small hairs suddenly stands up when cool air hits his body. He stiffens, opening his eyes and glances around the room. He frowns worriedly, taking his apron and immediately walks out of the room going unnoticed with a pair of red eyes on the corner of the room eyeing him ever since he steps inside the room.
Sunoo sighs, wiping off his sweats after cleaning, washing and drying all the plates. He puts the last plate in its place and glances at the clock which shown eight thirty o’clock in the evening. “What did the kids eat for dinner today?” He asks himself, sighing at the thought of his brothers with empty stomachs since it’s always like this. He will end his shift around dinner time and reached home around nine o’clock in the evening leaving his brothers to starve until he reaches home. With only, a simple dish where the three of them can enjoy even if it’s seaweed soup with rice or even leftovers the restaurant gives to him.
“What are you thinking about?”
Sunoo jolts in surprise, turning to face the culprit who almost gives him a heart attack. “Oh my god, Jaeyun. You scared me!” Sunoo glares at his manager. Yes, the manager who shouted at him this morning. Jaeyun chuckles, without any shame, wraps his arms around his waist and rest his chin on his shoulder. Pulling him closer until he can feel his chest against his back. “Jaeyun, do you mind?” Sunoo said it annoyingly, glaring at the older’s smug face while trying to peel off the older’s arms around his waist.
“No, I don’t,” Jaeyun chuckles, nuzzling his face against his sensitive neck making his small hairs stand up. “Stop it, Jaeyun,” Sunoo growls, nudging his ribs enough for the older to let go of him immediately. “Okay, that hurts like hell,” Jaeyun groans while trying to rub the pain away. Sunoo rolls his eyes, dusting off the dust off his clothes and proceed himself towards the staff’s room. Finding his locker, hanging his apron neatly and quickly grabs his things before his manager can do anything to him again. Closing his locker shut, his eyes widen when something is standing in front of him. His body froze on the spot and a loud scream left his lips when the figure approaches him with its red eyes.
“Sunoo!? Yah! Kim Sunoo! Open the damn door!”
Sunoo’s body trembling in fear, backing away inches by inches until his back hits a locker. “W-What are you? Please, l-leave me alone!” His voice cracks, screaming again when the figure traps his body. “P-Please, I n-need to go home! My b-brothers need me!” Sunoo sobs, shielding himself with his hands making the figure smirk.
“No! Let go of me!” Sunoo screams again, feeling his wrist burn at the touch when the figure wraps its hand around his wrist. “Please, please,” He sobs harder, trembling when the figure leans in and he cries, even more, when he felt a pair of lips against his sensitive neck. Shuddering when those pair of lips make their way to his pulse, a warm tongue licking his pulse with his wrist still in the figure’s hold, burning his flesh with its touch.
“Sunoo! Sun—”
Sunoo’s eyes widen, whimpering in shock when Jaehyun’s voice can’t be heard behind the door. “J-Jaeyun,” He breathes out, hissing when the figure bites his neck without giving any warning. “P-Please, just l-let me go—Ah!” Sunoo screams out, clawing at the figure’s chest when he felt sharp fangs dig his flesh. “W-What are you—Ahhh!” Sunoo screams out again, head feeling dizzy making the hand he grips on the figure left the figure’s chest. His body feels numb with his eyes slowly closing until a soft chuckle rings before he only sees darkness.
I have been waiting for you, My Queen.
