When faced with the choice between regression, annihilation, or rebirth, Grimmjow reluctantly chooses the rebirth. The plan is straightforward: his soul moves on to Soul Society, Ichigo finds him and catches him up to speed on his past life, and voila, they have each other again. The best possible outcome of a bad situation.
In all of their planning, neither of them gives enough thought to the fact that, when it involves the two of them? Things are unlikely to be quite so simple.
