He was empty in a heartbeat, Newt shifted away, so slick it didn't even sting. Felt gutted, left hollow, aching somewhere much deeper than any sex act could have inflicted.A short interlude, set sometime in the year of engagement in 'What the Water Gave Me (I Took and Gladly)'

He laid still and thought of nothing.

Summary
For the 2020 whumptober prompt: Where Did Everybody Go? “Don’t Say Goodbye” | Abandoned | Isolation
The oaths, of course, were a double-edged sword. Break them, breathe a single word of his people, anything that could give a fairy-hunter or bride-seeker the scent, and the Chief would know. He was abandoned for the sake and safety of hundreds— breaking his oaths would be a final warning: run.
He closed his eyes, and resigned himself to wait a little longer.
A short prelude set after Lay Me Down (Overflow) and before What the Water Gave Me (I Took and Gladly).

Summary
"Gellert," Percival said, and pushes every scrap of will towards the boy, occlumency a pitiful half voice from what had been once, and pressed it all behind a demand that the boy run.
He's been playing so carefully for months--if the boy doesn't take this chance to run like he's told, Percival will have shown his hand and blown any chance of ever escaping. There's some manner of ritual on the other side of all this, and it will tie his life to Grindelwald's use as sure as the collar binds him to his whims.

Summary
But he thinks perhaps he ought to be a little more afraid of what doesn't exactly hurt yet, where he just feels…cold and sick.
He thinks perhaps he should be quite frightened indeed. His legs are shaking. Actually, he is shaking, full stop, but his legs feel especially unsteady. He's a bit surprised. If he'd so little needed as a hostage that they can risk this sort of abuse— why… why take him at all? Why not just kill him outright, leave his body in a shallow grave and have done with it?

"Yes, a very good attempt indeed," Grindelwald said, like he'd been pleased. "I trust you've satisfied your instinct to flee, hmm?"
He gags again against the burn of bile. “Fuck yourself,” Percival coughs.
“Rude,” Grindelwald chides, and there’s a grip in his hair, the dizzying spin of a world pain-blurred until his gaze has been forced up to meet another gaze, too-bright and mismatched. “Best to keep a civil tongue in your head, Percy, darling--I’d hate to take it from you, hmm?”Part of the Taken 'verse, set immediately after Caught and before Split

Summary
written for two Whumptober prompts: I Think I’ve Broken Something: Broken Down | Broken Bones | Broken Trust and A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day: Forced to Bed | Hallucinations |Shoot the Hostage, with a few liberties taken.
The wizard— Percy — looks very small, bloodied and curled up tight, with aurors leaning over him.
They'd wrestled the man into a quiet room at the Vienna field house — one with a cot and a pitcher and basin to wash up in, a set of hastily sourced fresh clothes, and a promise: to return quickly with a healer. It had been met with a feral wordless snarl that promised nothing but trouble as the immobilizing spells had eased away, but it was law, to say nothing of compassion, not to keep someone tangled up in partial stillness charms for any longer than necessary.
The crash was audible from the end of the hallway, signaling their mistake. The window in that room had been small, and higher than easily accessed, but—
It wasn’t the window.

2020 Whumptober prompt: Breathe In Breathe Out: Delayed Drowning | Chemical Pneumonia | Oxygen
“You’re warm, too,” Percival murmured, pressing a hand to his forehead, while Newt focused on drawing breath through a throat that felt like fire and leaden lungs. “How much water did you say you swallowed?”
“Don’t tease me,” Newt said, and then coughed ferociously for a while longer, hating how every heave of his shoulders made the worry lines in Percival’s face seem to carve a shade deeper.

Summary
Written for the 2020 Whumptober prompt: Is Something Burning?: Branding | Heat Exhaustion | Fire
He wasn't sick— rarely caught ill, but even when he did, he knew what a fever was to a Selkie; miserable, but not unrelentingly baking hot. He had sweated through his clothes, had sweated enough that he could hardly smell anything but the misery of being too hot and foul with it, unable to drink or wash with no water and cords dug into wrists and ankles. The Finfolk weren’t meant for unrelenting heat, and with his coat stolen away it only made the trembling itch of need for the safety of the water worse.
He was dizzy with the heat and the stink of cigar smoke long before Gellert got to the point of it all
Set prior to Lay Me Down (Overflow).

Summary
Written for the 2020 Whumptober prompt: Into the Unknown: Possession | Magical Healing | Science Gone Wrong
What exactly the ritual was, he couldn’t say — all he knew is that he was trapped in the sort of Dark magic so intrinsically foul that his lungs ached even from breathing it and he didn’t know if he could stop screaming, now that he’d started, not with something intangible and malevolent flaying his magic from him like—
He'd think of what it was like he wasn't shredding his own vocal cords against the pain of being devoured.
A slightly different perspective on the events at the end of Sacrifice.

Written for the Whumptober 2020 prompt: I Did Not See That Coming: Blackmail | Dirty Secret | Wrongfully Accused
“You wizards, you have, what are they--unbreakable oaths?”
“F--Fidelius, the Fidelius charm, yes.”
“We have better, hm?” It wasn’t shocking — not after three months— how cold and flat a selkie’s eyes could go, warrior and predator and hunted creature all wrapped up in one exquisite skin. He’d learned to stop shivering under it, but hadn't quite managed to quell the initial twitch.

Written for the 2020 Whumptober prompt: Panic! At the Disco: Panic Attacks | Phobias | Paranoia
Gasping was a terrible idea, made him remember that broken ribs were sharp as knives and he risked breathing blood. His head spun, trying to get himself under control.
He was shaking. It was cold--he was always so cold. It didn’t matter how soft the mattress was, or the rust-stained sheets, the castle was always freezing cold.
His heart was fluttering, a trapped bird beating itself against sore ribs. Fast— faster when he tried to breathe and couldn’t for a moment, not without stabbing himself, the shivers wracking him.
This wasn’t unusual. It was…Set as an interlude in the Spared chapter of the Taken 'verse

Summary
Written for 2020 Whumptober prompt: Broken Hearts: Grief | Survivor’s Guilt
Percival hadn't even especially liked Abernathy — a bit spineless, a bit of a bully when he thought he could get away with it. The sort of personality that escalated quietly and selfishly, and never quite absorbed the notion that hurting people was intrinsically bad, not just bad when you got caught. Slimy, especially on the streets, but not especially outstanding in the realm of mediocre villainy.
He hadn't deserved torture and death.

Summary
written for the 2020 Whumptober prompt: Toto, I Have a Feeling We’re Not in Kansas Anymore: Lost | Field Medicine | Medieval
If there’s any possible way to spin being hunted for sport by militant Dark separatists out to be something positive, he’s waiting for it to become apparent. They’re going against Grindelwald’s wishes to do it, so maybe that’s the plus — Grindelwald will thin his own ranks when he finds Percival’s battered corpse dumped in a midden somewhere down the mountain. Maybe.

Written for the 2020 whumptober prompt: I Don’t Feel So Well: Chronic Pain | Hypothermia | Infection
"What will it take, my dear Director, to keep you where I put you."
"Wasn't my idea," is what he says, sounding like gargled glass and roofing nails. Words are very hard in his mouth, the edges of them scrape. They're hard to think of, as well — he's tired, and he thinks his body might be confused between fever and freezing to death. "Would've stolen shoes."

Written for the 2020 Whumptober prompt: Do These Tacos Taste Funny To You?: Poisoned | Drugged | Withdrawal
Dying is... Well, it isn’t his worst option, but it isn’t his favorite, either.
“Is something the matter, Director Graves?”
“Trying to decide,” he answers, not nearly so distracted as he lets himself sound, studying the other witches and wizards in the room.
“Do elaborate,” Grindelwald commands, and affects to look deeply intrigued, leaning back in his austere, straight-backed chair like it’s a throne, and taking his wine with him.
“To whom I owe a drink.”Series
