Summary
Obi-Wan always wanted another Padawan after Anakin, and when he was on Christophsis, he thought he would get one. The Force had other plans. That was how it played out. But what if it went differently?
On their way to Christophsis to aid Senator Organa, the 212th make a pit stop on Kamino to resupply with troops, and their general makes a startling discovery. In Tipoca City, about to be decommissioned for failing combat exams, is a Force-sensitive clone cadet. Cutting it close, Obi-Wan swoops in and snaps him up, taking the boy as his new Padawan learner, altering his own fate and that of the clones.
This is the story of the clone cadet that became a Jedi, how Obi-Wan learned his own happiness mattered, and how Cody managed to show the galaxy that the clones were more than meat droids made for war along the way.

Cody’s expression softened into a hesitant smile, a warmth coming to rest in his eyes. “Thank you. That means a lot.”
“You’re welcome.” Obi-Wan felt himself smile back, unable to keep from getting a little bit lost in Cody’s inviting amber eyes.
