I had this idea floating in my imagination for a while and the theme of Letters was the perfect opportunity. However, when I started writing, it became clear I couldn’t work it into just 100 words. So as a result, you get 2 Chapters, I'll post the next part tomorrow.

Summary
This idea has been on my mind for a while, when I was thinking about the unseen characters in stories. Jane Austen used financial status to depict her characters, servants were a key part of how affluent a household actually was.
Servants in the different households would freely mix and undoubtably share information discretely. In Sanditon, this would have been amplified by local businesses and families, as their relatives would have quite often been employed by the upper class residents. Then you add links with London and there’s a hotbed of rumours waiting to happen. It’s quite interesting to rewatch the scenes and spot all the different members of the households featured, plus the other references to their presence.
This story starts on the night of the Midsummer Ball, with the starting point that Charlotte & Sidney had attracted attention, with all of their interactions. So, what would be the reaction, when it all falls apart?
I’ve used character names mentioned in other Austen novels, as well as taking inspiration from the original Sanditon fragment.

Day 12 - Overheard
Sometimes, a prompt sparks so many ideas, it’s hard to choose just one!
So, I decided to write several over the rest of the month.
When I started this first Drabble, it quickly became more than one scene in my head and so there will be more Chapters.Thinking about Sidney’s reaction after the cove and his ill-advised inebriated confession in a public place, there is no way it wasn’t heard, so this is my alternative scenario.
Mr Stringer has come to speak with Mary Parker.

These Drabble Stories are so addictive! Another prompt that ignites a Fix It idea in my head and will not be silenced.
The wonderful thing about this is that it’s virtually all written, it’s just a question of organising into 100-word installments. This means that Sidlotte Love will continue for a while. I also hope these 30 days have inspired other S1 fans to give writing a go.
In this Scenario, we join Sidney and his fiancée (yes, Eliza) as they return to her home after a social event. Hint – She Is Not Happy.

Yet another idea that starts off simply in my head and then expands into a Drabble Story, as I type on the screen! It always amazes me how these characters continue to live in my imagination. This week, we also celebrated the Anniversary of Andrew Davies’ adaptation of Pride & Prejudice, for me the absolute best version. It was a month after my wedding and I remember tuning in to watch it on TV.
Day 27 - Sacrifice
We start this story with Sidney suffering after his parting from Charlotte, little does he know that the people who truly love him won’t desert him.
