Chell really tried to enjoy her newfound "freedom," but it only took a few days for her to realize that it was not nearly as good as she expected it.
So when she finds a half destroyed building she decides to explore it to see if that place offers something better than the surface.
And if she ends up sharing a little too much of herself with an AI she had no idea existed... how could she have known that could happen?
Or... Chell gets accidentally fused with AEGIS. And it is a horrible experience.
This work is inspired/based on an element explored by the author "Nellaplanet" on their amazing fanfic called "Corruptive Shell, Rotten Core". This work will still be a completely new story, but Nellaplanet inspired the idea in the first place, so he should get the credit for that. I recommend that you check his fanfic.

Summary
Wheatley is convinced he did nothing wrong. After three years of drifting in Earth's orbit, he finds himself back in Aperture and discovers a centuries-old relic named AEGIS, an AI capable of rivaling GLaDOS herself. When his revenge plan backfires and AEGIS ends up downloading both Wheatley's and GLaDOS's programs into human test subjects instead, the two end up forming a bitter alliance in order to escape Aperture and locate the only former test subject that could help them retake it. That is if she doesn't shove them off a cliff first.

Summary
Wheatley is not good at fighting. It's not a thing he likes to do, and under regular circumstances, the last thing he would ever do would be to pick a fight with Chell. Not only because he loves her, but also because he's a little afraid of her and knows he would never actually win. It's not like him to argue with her. It's not like him to snap or become short tempered with her.
Another thing that is not like him is that he does not return from work the next day.

This is just a brief idea I came up with for a sequel to Portal 2 featuring Mel - one of the humans discovered in the human vault that GLaDOS sent her two co-operative robots - P-Body and Atlas - to discover. She survives testing and enters a relaxation vault, where she's put to sleep in parts of the facility that GLaDOS does not operate anymore. When she finally wakes, she uses the handy Handheld Portal Device to her advantage to escape the huge Enrichment Center.
Consider this story an alternative to Portal Stories: Mel, instead taking place after Portal 2 instead of before it.
