"NOVO MUNDO" follows the story of Mateus Oliveira, an arts major from Lisbon, who stumbles upon a haunted relic belonging to a Portuguese conquistador from the 16th century. The mysterious spirit forces him to travel back in time to the Age of Discovery and also has murderous requests that the young man must carry out if he wants to return to the 21st century.
After meeting a dubious group of sailors, Mateus is now their designated cartographer. Will he be able to follow the spirit's orders, or will he be forever stuck in the 16th century?
(This story is written in English, but there are phrases, sections and words that are in/make reference to the Portuguese language. If translations are crucial for the storytelling, I'll attach them as notes at the end of the chapters.)
