Summary
Charlie lies unconscious in Alastor's arms as the elevator rises the floors in relative silence, unlike the more ratty and clankling machinery of before. It probably just needed a little grease, but Alastor enjoyed the character and reminder of home.
That and Charlie never asked him to fix it, so perhaps she liked it too.
Even if bumping into Lucifer may cause a fight that would certainly not do well for the princess’s ongoing magic education and relationship with her father, it could prove to be more entertaining than the two getting along.
For Charlie’s sake, though, Alastor silently hopes that he doesn’t run into the king.
Well, it seemed Alastor was shit out of luck.

Summary
Michael exchanges his soul for his brother's safety in a last-ditch bargain in the fog-engulfed bayou. He only asks that his brother, Lucifer, and his daughter, Charlie, be kept safe. Alastor, the Radio Demon, a creature with malicious intent, static, and a shadow with a smile too big to be believed, answers that call.
Bound by an unholy contract, Alastor observes from the periphery of Lucifer's "peaceful" existence as a single father managing an old toy store, fighting to survive under the weight of his depression and fatigue. However, what starts as a straightforward observation quickly turns into fascination. The demon, who used to eat souls for entertainment, is drawn to human frailty because of Lucifer's angelic looks, his soft voice, and his unwavering hope despite pain.
Protection becomes possession and love becomes peril. When Lucifer begins to notice the strange warmth hidden behind Alastor's smile, the human learns to his horror that love can be more damning than any curse.

And Vincent still loves him, if anything much more than before.
The rational thing to do? Obviously hunt Alastor down and get back together with him. If Vincent survived that means it’s not their time yet, that they’re meant to die together, and if Alastor doesn’t realize that then he’ll have to make him. They made a deal, if Alastor won’t hold up his end by choice then it’ll be by force.

He had to admit that he felt as if a great weight had finally fallen from his shoulders. As if someone had finally cut that nasty string that was tightening all his tendons when he strayed too far from the path, reminding him of its presence. Although maybe it was just in his head…

For the first time in nearly ninety years, he wasn't bound to anyone!

“So why am I here?” Alastor thought as the tip of his shoe hit the threshold of the hotel's front door, snapping him out of his train of thought.
__________Alastor's plan succeeded. For the first time in a very long time, he is truly free.
Only one question remains: What next?
Nothing is forcing him to stick around at the Hotel, and yet... Maybe he could still get something out of it for himself.
Especially with the newly acquired information about a certain duck-loving King.
Or will his plans change when unexpected guests arrive at the Hotel for completely different reasons?
Recent events have left their mark on everyone after all... whether he likes it or not, including him. -

“It’s nice to finally put a face, or mask, to the name! You are much shorter in real life!” Lucifer was not going to like this guy, was he?

Lucifer was heavily scarred during his fall from heaven. And not just mentally. So he hides his face at every moment possible. No one in hell has seen the entirety of his scars.
This annoying red guy seems to be trying to change that last statement, however.
