Long ago, in a world all but forgotten, there had been a god unlike any other. A shapeshifter, a trickster, known for his beauty and said to glide on wings of pure gold. No living mortal could tell you his fate, for one day he simply disappeared; and with no others ever hearing his enchanted voice again, his name slowly faded into obscurity.
He was a god of mischief, of magic, of tricks and attachments. He represented love and heartbreak, music and misery, chaos and order in imperfect measure.

(Book two of Divinity (and other worthless things))“My wife has done nothing wrong.” Phil said, crossing his arms. The god laughed at that, a hollow, unsettling laugh.
“She has broken the only rule she was required to keep.” The god said, appearing by Wilbur and grabbing the boy by his arm, throwing him at Phil’s feet, “She brought life into the world.”
“As she has done two times besides Wilbur.” Phil said, helping his son up.
“But she was never divine with the others. The other two, they came from Kristen. This one? He came from death.”
Phil watched as Wilbur curled in on himself even more, looking so, so very guilty. As if he thought his father would turn on him so quickly, as if he thought Phil was even capable of hating his own son. As if it even mattered.
“I don’t see how that’s his fault.”
“He’s not mortal, and he’s not divine, which makes him a weapon. That’s exactly what he is now.” The god said, once again appearing by Wilbur, “Isn’t that right?”
Or, Wilbur is so much more traumatized than anyone realized, and no one knows how to fix the situation.

He wanted to run into his older brother’s arms and never come out.
He wanted to die.
But instead, Wilbur just stood there, his eyes glowing a soft blue. A warning, one that the king was smart enough to notice.
“Wilbur, calm down, we both know that dying is a mercy right? How many times must I tell you?” He asked, walking to the other side of Wilbur, “You were made to be Lady Deaths weapon, and you can’t even handle it?”
Wilbur didn’t answer, he wasn’t sure he could.
“Well, now it’s yours and Quackitys turn.” He paused, looking at Wilbur coldly, “If you can do it without losing control again.”
Wilbur looked over to Quackity, who looked nervous to say the least, and then back at dream and nodded.
“I can sir.” he said, trying to sound as confident as possible without accidentally setting off his powers, which were already going to explode if he wasn’t careful.
Or, Wilbur got kidnapped at a very young age, his family goes to save him.

Phil's eyes narrow. "Tommy, you're being immature. Foster care is not a permanent thing, you know that-"
"Then let me leave! I don't- I can't-" Tommy cuts off, chest heaving. When he speaks again, it's steady and slow, the same tone he used when speaking with Ranboo all those mornings ago. Ranboo cringes at the thought that Tommy had been this angry whenever he interacted with him. "I am fine. I have been fine without you for quite some time now, Phil, so don't think you're doing me this glorious favor by keeping me here. You don't get to just keep stringing me along and leaving at every shiny new troubled kid that comes through your door. Either sign the fucking adoption papers or let. Me. Leave."
"I'm leaving. I'll wait out the fucking deadline, and then you'll never hear from me again."

Tommy stared up at the building in front of him. It looked like a hotel with its shape, but Tommy knew he would be staying here longer than he would at any hotel. Clutching his backpack closer to his chest, he followed his parents inside. He had only been with them a few weeks before the incident since it was the end of summer and he was at camp most of the time. Shortly after he got back, he was being shipped off to whatever the fuck this place was.
It was boring. That's all Tommy knew.

The Java District is the lowest of the low, the lack of a police force present within the area, with near to none medical services situated anywhere and most of all, the absence of hero patrol in the district speaks volumes on how terrible living there must be.
After all, the constant influx of villains and criminals don’t just target the Prime and Antarctic Districts.
Now we watch Tomathy Innit, 16 and an escapist from an ability asylum, a store owner, a bartender, a vigilante and an information broker. He was thrusted into a world of survival. Those who end up in the Java District, stay there. There is no hope for you to rise to the upper districts. Well, not unless a certain vigilante had to say about it.
After all, Cheshire is only reserved for patrol within the Javian Streets of the velvet night. And if anyone is going to bring the district into prosperity, it may as well be him.
