Closing his eyes, Zuko breathed deeping through his nose. In and out. Just focus on his breath control and not what awaited him in the other room.
For a split second, the only thing he wanted was to bolt back out the window, through the harbor and back to the safety of the Pariah. Zuko just wanted to go home.
This is the only way you’re going to be able to go home, he reminded himself. Repair the ship, capture the Avatar, restore your honor. This is a small price to pay for that.
Swallowing, Zuko forced his feet forward.
Zuko's visit to Zhao's port goes a little differently.

He’s going to kill Uncle when they get out of this. If Uncle wants Ginseng tea, Zuko will buy it for him. Zuko doesn’t have time to deal with the posturing of his betrothed.
Zhao stares down at him with the same greedy half smile he always has when eying Zuko. It’s the one that says he owns Zuko’s body and there’s nothing that can be done about it. His chair is pressed close enough that their legs touch from hip to ankle as the alpha twists to face Zuko. With one arm on the back of Zuko’s chair and the other resting in the omega’s lap, Zuko is trapped and Zhao knows it.
