Summary
After the events of "A Bite of Applesauce," Connie is unemployed, unmotivated, and bored. Desperate for something to do, she goes to the launch party for a new device called the NovaBox, which is supposed to revolutionize the television experience. Or whatever the ads say. What actually happens, though, is that the launch party is decimated by a freak outbreak of horrifying violence that leads to the deaths of nearly everyone in attendance.
Connie survives... kind of. Good thing she knows someone who just got a new job at the Connellsville morgue, because her diet has gotten unexpectedly weird.
Meanwhile, Richard Maxwell kind of survives the NovaBox Massacre, too - and his boss is very interested in just what NovaCom is trying to do with a bunch of homegrown zombies. He assigns Richard to gather intel, and possibly steal brains to sell to the new undead population. Richard knows just where to go.
