It's been seven years since Daniela left her sisters and disappeared, and Paulina and Alejandra have been left to pick up the pieces in a world that grows ever the more dangerous. Paulina tries to be an optimist and holds nothing against her older sister for leaving. Alejandra, meanwhile, believes Daniela willfully abandoned them and grows to resent the sister she once adored, blaming her for everything in her life falling apart.
Unbeknownst to them, Daniela is a member of top-secret organization Hermanas de Salvación - and she is Monterrey's winged protector known as the Angel of Hallow, nicknamed La Duvalin by her people. She left her sisters not because she wanted to, but because of a warning that if she stayed, she would evoke a terrible evil that would destroy them. Daniela makes the most of her new life defending her city day and night, only hoping that wherever Paulina and Alejandra are now, they're safe and sound.
But fate loves to play the cruelest jokes, and Hallow and Bane are destined to meet again as foretold by ancient history - and when they do, blood of two sisters, light and dark, will spill until the truth mends what time could never heal.
