Summary
Erchitu: According to the ancient Sardinian legend, a man who commits a serious fault would turn on full moon nights into a white ox with two large horns. The creature stops in front of a house and bellows three times: his roar is heard by all the inhabitants of the country, and according to tradition, the master of the house will die within the year.
Shortly after returning from Louisiana, Anthony and Azrafael find themselves in Sardinia, investigating reports of a creature that has spooked the locals. It's supposed to be an easy job for them to handle. Find the creature, dispose of it, and return to England with a positive report by week's end. Of course, nothing is simple when it comes to their lives, and shortly after Anthony and Azrafael arrive at their destination, something strange begins to happen.
Azrafael, a surly demon on the best of days, has become far more aggressive than usual toward the humans they're supposed to protect. Worse still, he's become overly possessive and protective of Anthony. And when the two discover exactly what it is that's causing Azrafael to act so rashly, they realise it will take creative thinking, and a LOT of privacy to fix the problem before it gets out of hand...
