“NETEYAM!”
Nia jumped, causing the knife to slip from her hand. The Mauri became utterly silent. The only sound that continued was the thumping of Tuk’s tail as the young girl slept. Jake stared at Neytiri, gun still in hand from polishing the exterior. Lo’ak and Kiri looked at each other, lost for words. Nia looked into Neytiri’s eyes before looking away, sliding over the knife and the rest of the yovo fruit over and slowly began making her way to the hut’s entrance. Jake stood from his spot.
“Nia wait—“
“I may look like him…” the girl’s voice quavered. She balled up her fist, and took a deep breath before saying:
“But I am not him..” she finished. And as she turned around, her eyes was filled to the brim with tears, ears flattened. Nia looked at Neytiri, and sprinted off. All ears flickered towards Kiri, who scoffed.
“How could you do that!?!” The young teen got up, and ran after the young girl.

In an alternate turn of the Way of Water's events, Spider is revealed to have perished at the hands of the RDA, refusing to betray the Sully family. But He had been lost at sea. Or so the RDA might think. Eywa has plans for Spider. She'll embrace him among her children when the time is right. But that time was not meant to be now.
Or
Spider gets lost to depths of the Sea but comes back to the surface of the World of Pandora as a Metkayena Navi and a son to Tonowari and Ronal. Oh, and Neyteyam stays alive in the story.

Summary

Dawoud had only been able to remember being dragged from under the pew he'd been hiding in.
He'd only remembered the blue skinned man throwing him into a vehicle.
He had only remembered his whining for his brother, Elian, for him to be okay.
Dawoud could only remember seeing the smoke rise up in flames as he was torn from the safety of the pews. He'd only remember the horrific sound of the bomb that had struck him and all the other Egyptians inside it, mid hymn. The ringing would remain in his ears as he attempted to sleep.
The boy could only remember being brought onto a militia base. Thrown into a cell. And none had spoken to him yet. All he did know, however, was the familiar english words that rolled off their tongues.But.
Why was everyone blue? Why was the sky not of the earth? Why could he only see stars outside the tiny window in his cell? Where was he? Where where where.
Not again. Not again.
He could only remember the phantom pain at the bottom of his leg. Could only hold fear in the corner of the stone room theyd kept him in, as the blankets wiggled in his arms.He missed his brothers. He knew his parents were dead. It was a bomb. A bomb.

She said, not bothering to entertain the idea that the village accepts her. Maybe in the near future, when she's mated to their golden boy, the role of being the spiritual leader placed on her shoulders—maybe then, Kiri assumes, they'll finally accept the freak into their clan.
After the death of Neteyam, Kiri finds herself succumbed to the duty of being the oldest and a sacrifice for her family.
