Summary
This is an alternative universe for the Marauders that is constantly on my mind. The characters are millenial born in the 90s and teenagers in the 2010's expecially in 2014. Based on the song New Romantics by Taylor Swift and that vibe.
Everything is practically the same as in canon except they are muggles. And Hogwarts is a prestigious boarding school.
Remus & Sirius are childhoood friends who meet at ten because the Lupins used to work for the Blacks. But for circumstances they break apart. But Remus gets a scholarship to Hogwarts in sixth year. Muggleborns= Scholarshipped kids. Purebloods= Rich kids. More like. There is still discrimination for the scholarshipped ones. -

Realistically speaking, neither Peter nor Regulus were made of the material to stand against the former Dark Lord, even if he was currently nothing but a shade.
They weren’t geniuses like Siri or Potter (the older); they weren’t particularly brave either, not to mention their dubious moral integrity.

"You slept with him." Remus muttered. He looked up at Sirius.
Sirius had a blank expression on his gorgeous face.
"I thought you don't sleep with men..I though I was the exception.." Remus murmured, tilting his head downwards. Tears fell from his eyes and collapsed on the floor.
"Remus stop being dramatic. It was a one time thing." Remus froze. He looked up at Sirius, his cheeks flushed and his jaw so clenched that it was becoming pale.
Remus stood up, his eyes red and snot dripping from his nose, "THIS WASN'T THE FIRST GODDAMN TIME, BLACK!"
He stepped closer to the shorter boy. Sirius didn't move an inch, staring back at Remus with no guilt or regret on his face.
"I have done nothing but love you, Black. Why are you toying with me?" Remus screamed, tears still spilling uncontrollably from his brown eyes.
Sirius turned away from Remus and strolled to his bed. The sight of the brown haired boy made him nauseous. Before he could climb into his bed, Remus spun him around- gripping his shoulders and yelled in his face.
"ACKNOWLEDGE-!"
Sirius punched him.

This is going to be a LONG series split into three fics, starting at 1975 (Regulus' fourth year) and continuing onwards until death. It should be mostly canon compliant but there are a couple small things Im planning on changing (creative liberties must be taken to tell a new story). I've always wanted to explore a canon Jegulus, particularly how James and Regulus's relationship could work if Regulus was completely loyal to Voldemort until the end. A lot of lies, unfortunately is the answer. But hey, we're here for an angsty time, not a good one.

Peter bit his lip a lot. He bit his lip when Sirius and Regulus argued. He bit his lip when he watched Remus and Sirius get together. He bit his lip when James always took Sirius' side. Because they were his friends, if Peter said what he really thought, he could lose his only friends.
But eventually, he couldn't hold back anymore. He spoke up. And yes, it made the world crash down around him. But it also created the most unlikely friendship ever.
