And he’s learned a lot. His magic methods are intrusive, embarrassing, and even somewhat painful, but oddly enough, they work. But Tony isn’t interested. He knows his identity through and through, he doesn’t need some tall, imposing, attractive man to…extract it from him. Sure, Strange is intriguing, but Tony isn’t, like, gay or something. Right? “What are you, fifty?”
The kid gives him an odd look, expression unreadable for just a second. “No,” he says, like he’s not sure whether he’s being teased or not. “Got my shit rocked in the war. Heart went boom.”
He splays his fingers out for emphasis, driving the point home.
“... Right.” Tony feels vaguely ill. He really should’ve done more research before having Bakugou shipped over here. “It’s beeping a lot." He tries for one of his winning smiles, the kind that made cameras flash and women swoon. "Hopefully that means you’re excited to be here?”
Bakugou grins at him, all sharp teeth. “Nope,” he says. “It means that you’re really, really pissing me off.”
Well, so much for a good first impression.

Tony's not exactly surprised that Rogers looked like he was taking a last glance at his fiancé before wedding preparations. It was just who he looked at like that which chills Tony to the bone.
Because the warm, confident man from his father's stories—the guy whose eyes always sparkled when they caught Rogers' smile—is not the thing following behind him.
The only word Tony can think of is the same one Nick Fury had used when information on his parents' killer refused to come up—a ghost. And, fuck, they walk so quietly he wouldn't be surprised they're floating. With the stringy dark hair thing they have going on, they could pretty much be the girl from The Ring except if she crawled out of the TV with a gun and killed your parents.
