“You look awful,” a shrill voice says like a mosquito buzzing in his ear.
“Thanks,” Techno deadpans, glaring at the blonde teen from his peripheral vision.
He doesn't even have to look to know that Tommy is here, the child who somehow finds it the most entertaining thing to enter this coffee shop and bother him over absolutely anything. It was like he has nothing better to do, which probably is true.
“I think,” Tommy puts his hands on his hips. “You should take a break.”

Tommy notices that Techno may need a break from work. This may or may not have ended in the fire department getting called.

Summary
Tommy makes a run for it, backpack over his head and socks drenched from the rising flood.
The lingering fog reveals a small shop of pistachio green panels, white metal chairs outside gathering puddles of rain. Tommy heads straight for the glass door, exhaling heavily when the chimes echoed and he was finally under dry roof.
His soaked hoodie drips onto the floor mat as the man wearing a brown apron behind the counter blinks at him tirelessly.
“Hi, Techno!” Tommy waves innocently when he might as well be wringing his damp clothes all over the floorboards.
OR
Tommy seeks refuge from the storm at the coffee shop his brother works at. Techno finds this kid quite dumb (and a tad bit endearing).

Crow's Coffee was, in Tommy's opinion, the best place in the world.
His dad had opened the place up when Tommy was six, and it was a huge success.
Now, Crow's Coffee had three different locations around town. Each one was managed by a different member of Tommy's family, and when Tommy came of age (provided he was still interested) he'd get his own shop.
Tommy had had a long day at school, and decided that the best thing he could do was visit each member of his family.
