The tale of King Arthur et al. goes as it always does, but through an act of divine providence, or perhaps a sick cosmic joke, everyone wakes up fine and dandy several centuries later with only their scars in a strange new world full of people who barely wear any clothes, foul and profane approximations of magic begot by technology, man-made structures that reach into the sky, and worst of all, large metal birds that leave clouds in their wake.
Everyone has their own reactions to this turn of events, some much better than others. All the while an ancient threat stirs beneath the Earth.

Arthur died. He knows that. Arthur woke back up. He knew that, too. Except he woke up ten years ago, his time, which was only a year ago, now. Arthur's still trying to get his head wrapped around that one.
Still, it appears to all be going according to plan. Or, it would be, if Merlin wasn't such an ass, Arthur could stop dreaming about Gwen, and Morgana could stop yelling at him for *one second.*
When all is said and done, however, Arthur was more than willing to face those obstacles. His Knights were a different story.

Another thing the king had ordered, dually as a punishment to Arthur because he hadn’t agreed to go on the investigation at first, he had some of his own knights accompany them. Not for added protection for the crown prince. No. It was so Merlin was made to go without any winter gear and forced to stay at the back of the group, whereas normally he was at the front beside Arthur. He didn’t have gambesons under armour, or gloves, or cloaks to keep him warm. He had his jacket—that didn’t even make him sweat if he wore it in summer—his threadbare clothes, and his sole-worn boots."

“Is right here,” Pym says, picking up her bag. She concentrates on the amulet, “and doesn’t need to be spoken for,” she looks at Arthur and sees him wavering, “I’m better than no healer.”

Arthur died. Then Arthur wakes up. One week after Merlin begins his service as his manservant. Ten years worth of future knowledge is at his fingertips and the chance to make everything right: to rediscover Merlin, magic and all; to be the brother Morgana needed him to be; to spend more time with Guinevere and be the man she knew he could be, the man he aspired to become; to confront his father and change Camelot for the better.
But Arthur’s a prince again. He hasn’t known Merlin for one year, let alone ten, Morgana has no idea they were friends let alone related, Guinevere still thinks he’s a prat, and he has to act the part of a prince if he doesn’t want some poor sod getting killed in the hopes of lifting a fake enchantment Uther thinks was cast on his son.
Things are about to get a whole lot more complicated.

Summary
Galahad of Saint Juliana’s has heard stories of Camelot all his life. When he finally goes to court at eighteen to become a Knight of the Round Table, he is blinded by the splendor of court. He does not notice the darkness and corruption at the heart of the kingdom that surrounds its legendary king, Arthur Pendragon.
He meets Prince Mordred, the king’s nephew, who, after Arthur blatantly flaunts his own laws at a trial by combat, approaches Galahad with a way to combat these injustices.
Galahad struggles to balance his chivalric values with Mordred’s treason, even if the prince does wish to save the kingdom. They search the records for other acts of treason and start to gather a group of like-minded knights. But the king is not the only one with a hidden agenda, since Galahad has his own secrets that drew him to Camelot, just as Mordred’s might threaten the affection budding between him and Galahad.
