Everything has changed after Moriarty's Great Game. Things are shifting both between Sherlock and John as well as within their city as a whole. And while the paint is slowly chipping away to reveal the decay that is festering underneath the veneer of New London, there is also the offer of a new case that cannot be refused.
An AU take on 'A Scandal in Belgravia' but with some choice changes to canon, as well as mysterious kidnappings, investigations both below and above ground and two oblivious friends who might just be on the verge of actually figuring stuff out!

There was a moment of consideration before the other man's face cleared instantly, a spark of intrigue glowing brightly in his eyes. "Moriarty."

John's gaze wandered skyward instinctually, where the concrete walls, metal beams and wide light panels that covered the rest of the city were interrupted by an enormous transparent dome. Not all cities had such a window to the outside. Most of the less prosperous towns all across the country, as well as all places located further underground, had to make do with artificial light, cheap weather simulations on big LED panels and VR sceneries.
But this was the real deal. Filtered through decades-old layers of dust and grime but still very clearly the actual sun. This was as good as things would get for John Watson, at least for the foreseeable future. And he would have to learn to live with that.

After the surface of the earth has grown uninhabitable, life has shifted underground. Away from sunlight and fresh air, humanity has improved on itself with the help of body modifications, growing stronger and more connected. Returning home after many years of military service on the surface John stumbles across Sherlock, who can show him a whole new side of this London below ground.

Diese Geschichte beginnt Ende März 2020. Also im 1. "SHERlockdown" . Auch unser Consulting Detective kämpft gegen den Corona-Koller, denn John tut Dienst an der Covid-Front und hat sich mit einigen Kollegen in einem alten Schwesternwohnheim einquartiert und die inzwischen fünfjährige Rosie ist auf dem Land bei Johns Tante Stella und ihrem Mann Ted untergebracht. Kein Wunder also, dass dem Consulting Detective die Decke auf den Kopf fällt! Und das gerade, als er und John anfingen, einander näher zu kommen. Nun bleibt dem Detektiv nichts anderes übrig, als sich um Martha Hudson zu kümmern und regelmäßig seine Schwester zu besuchen, wofür er ziemlich viel Geige üben muss. Wenigstens gibt es Skype! Und hin und wieder vielleicht wenigstens einen Cold Case...?
...oder sogar ein brandaktuelles abscheuliches Verbrechen!?!

As a young lad he was driving everywhere, there was something freeing in touring the country roads watching the sunset. Just taking in how beautiful the world was in those small moments.
