Summary
Zuko’s head filled with the cacophony of cries, voices of the present and past all vying for his attention, accusatory and wicked as they lashed his mind with a venomous scrutiny almost as violent as his own words inflicted upon himself.
Then suddenly, as if the entire world had faded away in the blink of an eye, there was silence. There was no pain. The fires that raged around him, hungrily consuming the dead and dying, were replaced by the flickering candle flames nestled inside the cozy vessels of lanterns. The dark evening of an encroaching stormy sky was replaced by the sleepy corridors of a large room lined with shelves upon shelves of books.Strangely, he found himself within these hollowed halls, face to face with a Water Tribesman who called himself an Architect of destiny. Who judged the souls of the dead and sent them on to the afterlife, and corrected the wrongs made by humanity. All while maintaining the sacred webs of Fate.
Amidst it all, Zuko must discover his own destiny and carve out a path within the world once more before the webs that held his fragile life in the balance, cut him out of it entirely.
