Summary
Bracken knows loneliness. Unicorns don't stick with their families. They're bound to seek solitude, a nature ingrained in their traditions and sense of self, one that he was taught from and early age not to fight. The thing is, there was always this restlessness living and breathing inside of him, ever since he was young and impressionable, a seed that might as well be the same one his cousin carried; a permanent questioning of their beliefs, a never ending dissatisfaction that only seemed to grow, and on top of that, a curiousness about what else was there outside the Fairy Realm.
It had led both of them to the human world, and from then on, nothing was ever the same. But where Ronodin got intoxicated with the grey darkness only mortals were capable of, Bracken found freedom, and he was enamoured with it. Entranced by their cultures, their lifestyles, their ability to choose right or wrong, of failing and trying once again, only to fail once more. But, if anything, he learnt that humans always get back up.
And then he was locked up. A dark time that came to an end with her. The brightest light he has ever seen, that came to bring him freedom, love like no other, and something else called a home.
