The Celestial Forge is the greatest combination of crafting powers in Jumpchain, meaning it is the greatest combination of crafting abilities in all of fiction. In Brockton Bay a forgotten side character's trigger event ends with him linked to the Celestial Forge rather than his intended shard. His slowly expanding collection of tinker abilities and the influence of his new benefactor pulls him into the heart of the conflict about to rock the city and decide the fate of the world.
As part of a writing experiment that turned into a narrative. Perks and items form the Celestial Forge (pastebin.com/35AJD9Lj) are selected randomly based on progress through the story. Ultimately an excuse to explore the technology and crafting abilities of multiple sources of fiction.

Danny shuts down harder, Emma further cements the illusion she’s made of Taylor, and Taylor, for one, is tired of pretending to dance to other’s tunes. It’s time for her to take her destiny into her own hands.
This is a rather drastic AU. Still set in Brockton Bay, but under a different gang landscape. To start, having inherited QA from Annette instead of Danny, Taylor triggers with a flexible changer power based on literature. At least, that's what Taylor seems to think. -

He is convinced of his own superiority and intellect, and has been given an extraordinarily overpowered suite of abilities. Can he work around being a massive egotist in order to take control of Brockton Bay and prevent the destruction of the world that occurred in canon?
This story does assume you've read Worm. I feel like that shouldn't be a disclaimer I have to make, but it is, apparently.

Madison Clements didn't realise she'd triggered until the bright blue text box appeared in front of her, telling her she was just as terrible a person as she always knew she was, but offering her a single chance of redemption. Madison wasn't sure powers were supposed to work like that, but she'll take the second chance with both hands and hopefully begin to start putting things right.
Or: A story where Madison Clements becomes a Hero, mostly accidentally kidnaps at least three people at various points along the way, gives Armsmaster a headache, Coil a migraine and Taylor Hebert the most confusing morning of her life. The fact that these were all technically the ideas of Madison's power very much does not make things better in Lisa Wilbourn's opinion.

Surely, nothing can go horribly wrong.
Surely, she won't refuse to even try to pretend to be Taylor Hebert, and decide she doesn't need a life outside of the Undersiders.
Surely, she'll be more peaceful than Taylor ever was.
...Oh, who am I kidding? The real question is if her powers can escalate at the same rate as the hole she digs for herself.
