Chapter 3: The summer before 7th grade, Steph's mom becomes the Honey Queen and promptly disappears. She doesn't have any room to be angry about it until she meets Max Jagerman. Then she has room to be upset. They bond over shitty parents, their senses of humor, and getting out of working. It's great until it isn't. -
