When Perseus Jackson looks in the mirror, he doesn't like what looks back at him. His mom always says he's the spitting image of his father. Who's "lost at sea” or something. It's a flimsy excuse, but he can't bear saying anything about it, not when his mom looks so upset when he presses.
Vibrant, blue green eyes look back at him, underneath waves of curly black hair, and it's familiar, but in a bad way. And he can't help but feel a shiver crawl down his spine if he stares hard enough.
