Having defeated Immortan Joe, Furiosa took her rightful place as leader of the Citadel. However, she could never quite shake off the feelings left behind by Max. Under Joe's rule, Furiosa lived a life of self-imposed celibacy, never allowing herself to experience thoughts of lust, let alone love. Max's arrival and his just as quick departure changed everything. In her journal, the former Imperator chronicles the days and weeks, perhaps months following the demise of Joe, along with the ever-burning flame she holds for the nomadic road warrior.
