Summary
In the first year of the Fourth Age, after three thousand one hundred and thirty-eight unhappy, furious, grieving years of being reborn into an Aman that has been trying very hard to pretend that everything is absolutely fine ever since Morgoth was banished from the world, Fingon the Valiant walked through the Door of Night into the Void to seek the fëa of Maedhros, Kinslayer, Self-Slain, who hated himself so much upon the moment of his death that he chose Everlasting Darkness voluntarily.
He left behind an extended family who is shocked and appalled to learn of this decision - and that Námo the Doomsman was the one holding the Door open for him.
Or: The last time one of the House of Finwë fell at the hands of a Vala in Aman, the Silmarillion happened.

Pretty much the title, plus my attempt to work out why the Elves, given what they canonically know, don't nuke Angband. And also my attempt to explain the technology level of the Shire through surviving Fëanorians.
I originally posted this on Spacebattles as an informational sidenote to my fic The Long Defeat, but here it is expanded briefly.

After death, the Fëanorians were stuck in ‘The Void’…until they weren’t. Morgoth is their enemy still, in this new world, and his consort ‘The Key’ is suspicious at best. They make their war upon Morgoth, and in the process they create ‘The Slayer’…

Summary
They tell the story of the men and handful of women who left Valinor, out of bliss and into woe. But this is the tale of those they left behind. Their wives and daughters lament alongside the Valar in their grief. They may fight no battles, but their trials are just as heartbreaking.
One of these women is Y/n. Already an outsider in this family Y/n finds herself an outsider in the court of Finarifin. Her husband and father-in-laws actions are condemned her. Although Prince Finarfin supports her Y/n must find a way to stand on her own accord.

Summary
A collection of short stories following Caranthir, Carnistir Morifinwë, as he grows from childhood into adulthood, and the Flight of the Noldor into Beleriand. Focus on family and brotherly affection in the early chapters; Caranthir's lonely position as an awkward young adult in a family of dynamic relatives, and his role in the Doom of the Noldor in later chapters. Begins rather light and ends rather dark. Pun intended. This is a companion to my March of Maedhros series, though neither has to be read to understand the other.

Summary
For all Tolkien's changes to his family trees, one thing remains the same - Fëanor is the only son of Finwë without a daughter.
What if that changed?
Meet Lórefindë Nartissë - she's a linguist, the baby of a very big family, possessed of an unfortunate temper, and has a tendency to start fights (then gleefully watch her brothers finish them).
She's also recently been married to Oropher, great-nephew of Thingol through his father Galadhon. Or, rather, eloped with him.
Without the consent of either of their families, but that's irrelevant, and also kind of how elopement works anyway. By this point they're all grudgingly getting along because there's no way to undo a marriage between two elves who want to stay married.
The point is, Oropher now has to keep straight all of his wife's family. He never had any problems like this before - his own family consists of less than a dozen people, while the Finwëans are notoriously...numerous.
Here is a glimpse into one attempt at this.
