Amphoreus was no longer a simulation and so, its people are now 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 than 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢. But, you see, the human mind isn't 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 to bear the burden of 33 million lifetimes 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. Only the robust body of an 𝘌𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 could bear it. Like him. L̶i̶k̶e ̶C̶y̶r̶e̶n̶e.
Now, all they knew of was his existence and his role in saving them from their fate. He has truly become nothing more than a legend who only belonged to a storybook now.
There was nothing left of 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘯 now. And the only one who knew of 𝘒𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘢 was no longer by his side. The mystery hot man sitting diagonally to him keeps checking him out. Or at least Phainon thinks he’s checking him out. He keeps looking pointedly in Phainon’s direction, and hasn't turned a page of his book in 5 minutes. At one point he stares at Phainon so hard that a wrinkle forms in between his perfect angular nose bridge.
He won’t lie, that’s very flattering. Phainon has been told that he’s a good looking guy, though he doesn’t make it his entire personality or anything. And if the circumstances were any different, he’d tap it. The man is insanely attractive. But this isn’t about him! This is about Castorice and her potential scammer girlfriend. He had to stay focused! He can’t afford to get distracted by pretty boys!

Phainon is down bad for his rival and fellow chrysos heir. At first thought he could manage just remaining at his side as a good friend but as time moves on his heart yearns more and more for Mydeimos. He found writing stories about his desires to be a helpful outlet for his fantasies. One day he learns that other people write stories about Him and Mydei and decides to join an online group for it and posts his works. He ends up getting some fans including one account that joined that same group. The two tumble into an online friendship both venting about their unrequited crushes, it felt nice to have someone to talk about this to who understood.
Of course little does Phainon know it’s Mydei himself.

A hundred cycles ago he shattered Dawnmaker, and has not had the capability to forge it anew. Fifty cycles ago he picked up a set of armor from the ruins of Castrum Kremnos to hide the state of his face. Forty nine cycles ago he gave up convincing Aglaea and Cerydra and Tribios on who he was under the armor and cloak and fell back to the only plan he had left, the one he knew would always work.
Last cycle, the Lance of Fury almost tore his body into pieces before he could take the final coreflame.
And so now he is here, following the young version of himself. They are close to the end, just before the mission to Styxia and a few months before the final advance on Aquila that heralds the death of light, of hope, of everything. But he is not going to last this cycle.
Not unless he tells this Phainon, this Khaslana, everything.
