Many students already accepted the fact they wasted their careers just to survive during the societal collapse. There was seemingly no purpose to live. No races, no achievements to be won. Every uma was stuck trying to make their own meaning of the world around them.
Until the first reports of a strange infection surfaced, causing infected Umamusume to become 'like walking corpses'.
Chaos ensued, further fueled by Umamusume already questioning survival and life itself. Every uma all has different objectives to make it through the infection;To stay sane? To pray it all away? To protect others? Who knows. Every Uma's dreams were crushed long before the infection anyway.

The Paranormal Liberation Front's co-commander of the Violet Regiment, Geten, who makes Bakugo look polite and makes Shigaraki appear downright saccharine. He's all rough edges and fraying seams, and so Jeanist takes it upon himself to finish the hems and starch and press until he's ready to face life with something /other/ than ultraviolence and concerning political ideologies. -

Abaddon curses his 10,000th year. The year he was banished to earth.
When he woke up, every part of him felt like it was on fire. He began to crawl out of the crater. Stumbling, the smoldering angel felt the need to move. Towards where, he did not know, but he couldn’t stay there. He longed to retreat into the darkness for at least another 1,000 years again.
He was rendered powerless. No longer was he invulnerable, visible by the mangled wings and limbs that dragged behind him when he walked. Still, he was immortal.Despite his towering stature, he had never felt smaller, or weaker, or more lonely.
A small part of him wanted to beg. Beg the Lord to take him back, say that he was sorry, and that he’d change. An even larger part cursed him. Curse Him and heaven. His own ichor tastes like rot on his tongue.
After a while, he came to rest in a clearing.

Rustling leaves snapped him from his thoughts. Growl rumbling in his throat, he whipped towards the noise. Then he saw him. A human boy peeked from behind a tree.
