The waves crashed against the grey beach, cascading black meeting monochrome. Daisuke watched on impassively, eyes moving up toward the grey sky. In the distance, the glaring lighthouse shone a light of grey. The now-common fluttering of bat-like wings caught his ears as he looked at the sound, catching the eye of the devil itself.
This was nothing new.

Summary
The moment the enormous man dropped a big hand on his shoulder and squeezed, Daisuke was sure he'd throw up.
He wanted to race forward to untie Ken and drag him free, but there were almost a couple dozen kids, some of them older and bigger, circling around his bound form on the floor of the truck, eerily illuminated by the yellow glow of the single light on the left, and the man holding him in place, the man who'd introduced himself as Oikawa.
Even from this distance, Daisuke could see the tears glistening in Ken's eyes, but he couldn't get to him, couldn't protect him, couldn't save him. Not like this.
OR
This is a canon divergence of episodes 44 & 45.
Daisuke catches up to Oikawa's truck, but without Demon's arrival as a distraction and cause for Ken to be brought out, there's no good way to break Ken free. His attempt gets him captured instead......and then things just Get Worse from there. -

Daisuke always knew that Ken had nightmares. Like, a lot. But he didn’t want to talk about them, and despite everything Ken was open about the important stuff with him. Whatever the nightmares were about, distracting Ken and comforting him after without knowing exactly was good enough.
That is, until their continued jogressing triggered Daisuke waking up and experiencing the same dreams as Ken. Then it all of a sudden was very, very important that every nightmare had a sexual component, every villain they’d fought together hurting and violating Ken in his sleep. -
