Summary
After Robin got kidnapped, ages ago, for the ploy of a love sick Talia, for proposing to Bruce in their twisted way, she'd come to Dick, desperate, alone, pretending to be broken.
Dick, just fired as Robin, with a replacement lined up, doesn't believe one word she says, until she starts being honest. Until he sees a way to handle his hurt feelings.
Three years later, she's back. Not broken, not quite as desperate, and yet honest, again. Honest how she's afraid of her position as heir to the League, with an actual male heir around. Honest about her wish to get rid of said heir.
Dick has no choice, not really. He has to take Damian in. It's his son, after all.Fic is fully written and will be uploaded chapter by chapter. Upload every Wednesday and Sunday. Summary
Damian is well aware that the current living situation he has found himself in does not require him to constantly be on guard to survive. He knows he doesn’t have to pretend to be someone else to be safe and loved. (He does it anyways. It’s a defense mechanism, sue him.)
Tim Drake knows none of this (yes he does), and shows up to all the right places at all the wrong times.The one time Damian lets his guard down, he and Tim get ambushed and captured. They are forced to helplessly watch each other endure copious amounts of pain (mostly Tim bc I love bullying him). They need to work together to survive this.
Or: Damian cant seem to ever say the right thing. His family is upset with him. He thinks this means they hate him. (They don’t.) Tim, in good conscience, can’t let Damian wallow in his dramatic pre-teen feelings alone. They end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Right as Damian is about to talk about his feelings, BOOM they get kidnapped. The brothers are forced to brother for the first time, and feel a lot of feelings (and pain), and try to survive together long enough to be rescued.
Maybe they do, maybe they don’t.
Bruce gains so many gray hairs.

Summary
In a universe filled with platonic and romantic soulmates, it was not unusual to have soulmarks. Dick Grayson had plenty. However, when he was a teenager, he received a new soulmark: a bird with an injured, wrapped wing right on the palm of his hand. Over the next few years, he met new people, created new bonds, became Nightwing, and tried to live his life. Damian perches on top of a gargoyle, his cape flapping behind him. The mask on his face feels heavy, everything weighing on him. Bruce is talking to Talia. Apparently Ra’s is insisting he come home. And while Damian knows that his family could take on the LOA, he knows they wouldn’t win without killing. So either they’ll end up dead themselves, or betraying what they believe in, and Damian doesn’t know what to do. He wants to hide, to let his family protect him, but the reasonable part of him knows they can’t. That no one can protect him from his fate, and he never should have let himself believe that this would last forever, that he wouldn’t have to go back.

Summary
When the Batfam fights Darkseid, Bruce is hit with his beams. He vaporises on the spot. Damian, who shouldn't even be there, freaks out and runs into the field. Tim protects him from the worst but he, too, gets hit by a stray beam. He falls into a coma. The Batfam refuses to be lead by Dick, and everyone except Steph and Alfred leave.
When Damian wakes up, he's four instead of ten.
Tim goes to find Bruce, but in this one he takes a lot longer. When they all come back, Damian is ten.
Cue confusion of everyone, because what do you mean he was ten when you all left, he only had his tenth birthday last month!

Damian Wayne sits atop a building, watching the city bustle below him. Headlights from cars shine through the fog that settled once the rain finally stopped after three consecutive days of it falling in sheets. It had been four years since Dick Grayson had died, and Timothy Jackson Drake disappeared into thin air. It was a lead on Tim that they were checking out. Dick was still struggling to get used to being Batman, but working with him as Robin felt natural for Damian. Then all of the sudden, they were pinned down by Joker’s men. They had new guns, and Dick got hit before Damian could do anything. He managed to take them down, but by then it was too late. Dick died before they ever reached the hospital, and they didn’t find Tim either. The lead fizzled out into nothing.

Eyes so much like Thalia’s. It was like a missing puzzle piece had finally clicked into place. Damian’s eyes were green, like his mother’s. Like his grandfather’s. But the triplets all had blue eyes. Like Bruce. Like their grandmother’s. The only difference was that the triplets had partial heterochromia, a splash of brown infiltrating a sea of blue. Bruce had only noticed the difference. But Damian, Damian had only noticed the similarity.
