After years of lock down under Mont Ebott, the Monsters thought that Frisk's fall would finally put an end to their miserable life. Because they was pacifist, everyone thought freedom closer than ever. But Asgore's murder deadly hit every last piece of their hopes and dreams.
The events are getting out of control. Undyne and Toriel engaged a no-mercy fight to get the throne, each one with extreme opposite ideas. If the old queen wish for peace to come back, Undyne, traumatised by her mentor's death, only wants a war that would sign the end of humanity.
Far away from all these politics, Sans is waiting. He knows that Frisk never would have kill Asgore on purpose and that they are far from the horrible monster described by Undyne in her destructive propaganda. For the first time in a while, he's still holding on the promise the kid made : coming back to break the Barrier. That dangerous way of thinking might cost him everything he ever had down here.
But the day the CORE stopped working, all of them will have to make dangerous choices despite friendships and betrayals. Down here, it's walk or die.

After Frisk leaves the Underground taking all the human souls and killing Asgore, the underground becomes mostly a wasteland. Monsters dusting due to the core failing. Having to attach prosthetics to avoid magic leaking from their lost limbs. Sans and the other boss monsters begin to slowly lose hope, and their minds.
After 5 human souls are collected, a set of frail twins fall from a height that should have killed them. They meet a creature who wants to help them reach the surface, only the children are better off down below then above. Or are they? Join Tet and Ares as they go through the underground encountering monster only told in myths. But who are the real monsters? Who knows, maybe these monsters were just the family the twins needed all along…
While Sans meets a small human women looking for her children, does he do the right thing by taking this women to her children? Or does he decide to follow his soul and keep this human… all to his self?
