Eleven-year-old Lydia Deetz doesn’t talk. She doesn’t see the point.
Ever since Mama died, she’s been invisible. Every attempt to reach out to her father has been rebuffed. Every adult she’s confided in just made things worse.
So now, she’s done. If nobody cares enough to listen, then she isn’t going to waste the effort to speak. Existence is exhausting enough without wasting energy on something that would just be ignored.
As far as her father and so-called ‘life coach’ are aware, Lydia hasn’t said a word in months.
After they make their abrupt move to Connecticut–yet another thing that Dad did without caring how Lydia felt about it–Lydia finds out that the new house is haunted by a very kind ghost couple who quickly take a shine to the quiet little girl.

Summary
This was it for the kids of the cul-de-sac; an actual, full scale, Art Expo! Organized by the Peach Creek Middle School of course. It was for all types of art: Paintings, photos, sculptures, graffiti, and even performing arts!
To make things even more interesting, schools from other towns would be coming to the cul-de-sac, including Miss Shannon's School For Girls; a private school from far off Peaceful Pines. Needless to say, the kids (especially the Eds) were planning on making it memorable.
However, things get complicated when a strange and unusual girl from said school arrives at the cul-de-sac, with her odd parents, and her very bizarre, adoptive "uncle" a week before the event.
Oh well. Nothing can go wrong, right? -

Summary
A Beetlejuice/Oc fanfic where my self insert, Amber Deetz, is written into both movies and ends up having a…rather strange relationship with the ghost with the most. So far, most of the fanfic is a retelling of the movie but with Amber, aka me, inserted into the story. However I want to write so much more of their relationship with Beetlejuice, both before and after the second movie, so anything written after Chapter 10 will be oneshots. BTW; if anyone wants to request oneshots for this fic, I would be overjoyed if you did :)
Amber Deetz is 25 during the events of the first movie for anyone who’s wondering. They’re 10 years older than Lydia
