Clarke grinned, teeth glinting in the candlelight. “I’m gonna cast a true love spell. But I’m going to make an impossible man, someone who’s so specific and perfect that he can’t possibly exist. That way, there’s no chance that I’ll hurt anyone.”
All the women in the Griffin family are cursed - anyone who falls in love with them will befall great tragedy (death). Bellamy Blake helps because it means she'll him owe him one and it's a favor he needs to call in sooner rather than later. The drinks at Monty's bar afterwards was probably a dumb idea considering he wants to kiss the Very Special Agent as much as he wants to throttle her but he's never turned down a bad idea before and he certainly not going to start now
