Summary
It’s been over a decade since that bright green architectural nightmare of a mansion burned down. Last night, the owner was found dead. Beaten, bruised, and stabbed 64 times. The murder follows the pattern of a local serial killer, dubiously dubbed Jack Noir by authorities. The large gaps in four womens’ memories beg to tell another story.
Terezi Pyrope, a pathetic paralegal that thrives on approval, seeing 20/20 only in hindsight. Charged by a nuclear power plant’s worth of self preservation, energizing her every selfish thought. Vriska Serket, a low-functioning know-it-all with problems so hereditary her blood runs hot with fire-scorched irons and cold with hemocyanin. Rose Lalonde, a verbose, self-righteous author that just wants a peaceful engagement with her fiance. Fugue states be damned. Kanaya Maryam, a neurotic problem solver and a devout obsessive-compulsive. A grudge-gripping Greek fury with a bad habit of putting others' needs before hers. Especially if they involve her fiance, Rose.
Their root connection? They all grew up within the Cult of the Green Sun, roaming the maze-like halls of the garish once-green pile of soot and closetbound skeletons.
