Hurray, story five is happening. I have the first seven chapters all laid out in my head and I am looking forward to get them down on paper. Suggestions, comments and/or input is always welcome. I’m hoping as I write that the other five chapters come to me. We will also have to see if this is the last story in the series or not. Thanks for the continued support.

~~~~~~~~~~The couple and their son, who was in a highchair between his parents, were having brunch at a little café in Honolulu that a Navy friend had recommended to the head of Five-O. Steve was enjoying a large plate of steak and eggs, while the profiler was eating a twist on the classic Eggs Benedict. John was chasing mushy peas around the tray in front of him, with his mother feeding him spoonfuls of carrot puree at random intervals. The baby had started on solids a couple of months ago. It was nice to be out together enjoying the sunshine as a family, sans the furry members of the household.

Fourth story time. The characters have been chatty and I am doing my best to listen to them and their demands. Story Three ended with a twist I’m sure a few of you saw coming, but there are going to be some interesting twists and turns in this story, too. I hope to keep you all guessing and I have two chapter ideas that my beta isn’t happy I’m doing, but Jacq told me what was going to happen. All I can do is put what she told me on the page. “Actually, it’s not.” She sighed and continued. She knew what he was doing and wanted him to understand. “It’s to weigh the evidence that’s presented. And while I’d have no problem doing that, I’d also be reading everyone’s body language, looking for tells and seeing who’s lying. Then I wouldn’t be doing what I’m supposed to be doing, which is just focusing on the evidence. Do you get that?” She looked at him, begging him to understand.

“Aside from my ex-wife being in that room, which granted most disgruntled ex-husbands would probably be cheering about, yes; this is somewhat about proving a point.”
“Okay, Danny, you’ve proved it. Now can you just start listening to me?”

Steve is called up for an operation with the SEAL's with serious ramifications that could see him lose both the Navy and Five-0. Danny, Kono, Chin and Lou are determined to make him realise there is no 'I' in team.
Rated Mature to be safe because there is some cursing, injuries and partly based on a topic that maybe sensitive (one not included in the generic warnings but has been tagged).
Please forgive the medical and military inaccuracies, I have (as always) done as much research as I could but I tend to get distracted by shiny objects when I do it too much. I don't think I've stretched it as much as the show did.

Steve hears a deep inhale over the line as Danny scents the air. “I’ve got enough to track him in close range, but there’s something hinky with it…oh. Hold on. Shit!” The pace of his footsteps increases. Danny has to be sprinting now, his breath coming in harsh exhales that fuzz in Steve’s ear.

It was almost two months since he had asked her out and had the pleasure of kissing her for the first time (and second and third and…). Sadly, between her own work, which including a trip to the mainland, and the cases that came across Five-O’s desks, they hadn’t been able to schedule their evening out until now. Thankfully, he had seen her regularly and gotten her help on a few of his team’s investigations, which meant they got to spend time together.
