The year is 2279. World War IV has only been over for six months.

All she has left is a dream, and a vague longing for trees, and plants grown in soil, and stones that are older than the rusty metal streets of Skycity 15 - which its residents call New Oxford.
When she unexpectedly gets a chance to visit her Uncle Lamb on Cold Island 12 - the fallout haven that used to be known as the Scottish Highlands - she decides to use the trip to try and climb out of the empty hole that is her current existence.
What she finds there will not only change her life, it will change history itself.

This is neither Outlander nor Arthurian legend as you may know it, or accept it, but it’s a story that wanted to be written. The characters are fictional and I’ve put them in an indeterminate time, so there will be less historical accuracy than my previous long story.

Claire's husband, Jamie Fraser, was jailed for a banned duel in the Bastille and, his life now depends on the French king, who has strictly forbidden duels. Claire visits mother Hildegard so that she can give her an audience with the king, since she was his father's goddaughter. During this conversation, Claire tells that after learning the reasons for his betrayal, she was still angry with Jamie, but that he was also the father of her child. Mother Hildegard also tells Claire that the king will almost certainly demand sex in return for granting a request, and that the king is known and notorious for his perverted fantasies. Claire is willing to pay that price, but will it be enough to satisfy the king.

RELATIONSHIP STUDY
This piece of work is used as a relationship study of BJR and various other characters. There is no consistent plot. The characters are going through different, incoherent, and probably inconsistent situations, that take place in the (mostly) canon version of various fandoms.
The note at the beginning of each chapter tells which characters are showing up.
You are free to enjoy, of course, but I think it's not very captivating - except maybe to some really hardcore BJR-fans, who inhale every piece of text that features him (I know two such creatures beside myself).

Meanwhile, James T. Kirk is planning to become emperor himself. He brings the right name for the job, at least.
The rebellion eventually leads to the declaration of the Terran Republic, with the rebels overthrowing the emperor with future technology - about 200 years advanced future technology everybody is wondering about.
