Summary
He lays down on his bed, placing his glasses down on his desk before doing so, and rubs his eyes. He really should talk to Sam, he thinks, and he’s not really aware of what he is doing until he’s opened his contacts, found Sam’s, and pressed call.

Summary
Things that are the same: the casual back and forth talk Peter and Sam are engaged in as they set up the lights, the tripod. It’s an easy rhythm Kevin can tell that they’ve long since settled into. The bulky tracking device clamped around Kevin’s ankle. The hum of the washing machine in the next room. The orange string bracelet that’s looped around Sam’s wrist, peeking out from underneath his shirt cuffs.
Things that are different: Peter is wearing Sam’s sweater.

4 times Peter and Sam act like a couple, and the 1 time they actually are one. -

Summary
If you wanted to get technical about it, Sam had always spent Valentine’s with Peter — either playing video games, or watching those weird artsy movies that Peter likes. Maybe a pizza or two, with periodical checking of socials to see how Valentine’s was going for everyone. Anti-Valentine’s Day, they called it.
But now, as the harsh winter days edge towards the 14th, Sam squirms at the thought of Valentine’s Day. God. Their first, official Valentine’s Day. Last year’s had been particularly torturous, because the tiniest -- and he means the tiniest -- buddings of a crush had already been forming, which sent him into a spiral of despair for half the month. But even then, he’d been struggling same question that mocks him now: what do I get Peter?

Summary
Okay, the thing about Peter was that he was good at research. No, correction: he was fucking amazing at it. He was good at finding all the information they would ever need and even more so that they won’t, but what Peter is absolute shit at is actually putting things together into a sound theory. He has his moments of clarity, but there is a reason Sam has a string thing. Sam is the one who connects the dots, which is why it wasn’t a total surprise that Peter was so off the mark about him.
But, again, Peter’s good at getting all the intel, and if the viewers were just a fraction more observant than he was, they would come to a different conclusion about Sam.
And that was terrifying.
