Hodari knelt beside the limp form. He remembered this human, seeing her stop by to see Najuma and occasionally wave at him. They rarely spoke aside from official mining business and even that could be considered a stretch. She would approach with his letter, and he, the man of few words, would end up doing all of the talking. She would nod gratefully and then take her leave. Rarely saying more than a yes or no with a nod. After a few visits he’d learned a few of her expressions, she never said a word to him, but those had always spoken volumes.

Se sabe que Wild Robot tiene lugar en un mundo post apocalíptico pero lo bastante reparado para que la humanidad se este levantando, han desarrollado inteligencias artificiales, tecnologías de levitación magnética y dejado gran parte del mundo en manos de la naturaleza, donde muestra una vasta recuperación.
Por otro lado, Palia toma lugar en un mundo post apocalíptico tan, tan, pero TAN, alejado de la humanidad, que una especie humanoide completamente nueva lleva ahora la batuta, y la tecnología que dejamos atrás es indistinguible de la magia; entre las cosas que la civilización humana dejo atrás están los Galdur, como Einar, golems vivientes con miles de años, maquinas inteligentes.
En Palia se esta dando un fenómeno que hace que humanos del pasado remoto aparezcan de la nada en su presente, sin memoria de donde vinieron o que ocurre.

You take note how his arms tense before bringing them down in a powerful swing, a rhythmic motion he repeats over and over as he carves the ore from its resting spot in the Earth. You find it not too dissimilar from a sculptor chiseling one's vision from the marble slab before them. His eyes were heavy and focused on the mass of stone he was chipping away at and clearly he had been at it for quite awhile by this time if the sweat that’s beaded along his forehead and down his temple is any indication. His hair is stuck to his face and you can follow the trail down to a damp shirt and skin that almost seems to lightly glisten in the lantern provided light."

Other sources had claimed the Palian Republic underhandedly started the Second Palian War from the shadows, assassinating key figures until battle became inevitable. Whoever was to blame, neither side could have predicted what a stray explosion breaching the Elderwood would cause. The contamination, known as ‘echo’, had flowed out and spread with the wildlife, turning some of the beings it touched into its own dark monsters. While majiri were not affected, touching echo caused severe burns that did not seem to heal, and getting caught in it was deadly.
