Nick was regretting his decision not to punch Tony.
Superman raised a single brow.
"Did you?"
Silence.
"Unless you can see him, I sure as hell can't." Tony hissed out through grit teeth.
"That's his whole shtick. You're not supposed to see him coming. And if you do, it's because he wanted you to."
Silence. Silence except for Nick's heavy breathing. He was beyond foolish for ever entertaining the idea that they'd gotten away.
"You ride his dick this often?"
"Tony!" Nick hissed. He wasn't planning on getting killed by Tony's fat mouth.
"You actually think you got away?" Superman questioned sincerely. He sounded baffled. And Nick's terror was only growing.
"Even if he's still after us, he'll get tired of chasing us eventually."
"Not before you do."

Summary
Bruce has been doing superhero work longer than anyone else on the justice league (most of them at least), and yet he hasn't shown any sign of slowing down.
Some of the justice league are in their 40's, they aren't as flexible as they used to be or get tired easier. The non-humans are relising that Batman? Well Batman doesn't show those signs. Infact, he shows many concerning factors...Alternatively; Gotham City is alive, and that gives the people in it...a little bit of a power up. Batman doesn't like outsiders for a reason; he's the only hero suited for his villains (and the Robbins, of course).

Death.
It is sadly as constant as life, both equivocally interlocked. Like the Moon to the Sun, Night to Day, Power and Balance. It licks at one's heels like fire, it is not a matter of if you'll die, it is simply when.
For Bruce, born of the cries of his people in the throes of despair, death is but a close companion, a fellow confidant, something that is more him than he is. The Night stalks the streets of Gotham, seeking to save his people or lead their spirits to a better place. He is a beacon of hope amongst the pain, not simply a saviour, but a shepherd, a lighthouse, a signal. An ethereal moon shining bright in the dark, illuminating the dreary night sky. But sometimes that cross weighs heavy.
For Clark however, death is an enemy rivalled only by the grief it brings in its wake. His life crumbles at his parent's death, forcing him to grapple with his earthly origins and unearthly powers. With his loving family at his back, he learns to accept his abilities as a part of him, something phenomenal, powerful. A beautiful sun, blazing in all his glory, a budding symbol of hope for the wronged.
What will happen, when the Sun and the Moon cross paths? An eclipse, of course.
